Middle school story collab anybody?

So, there's a thread like this one one Page 2 about 8th grade girls, and I might attempt to resurrect that one and have it take place at the same time, in the same school, as this one, but for now, let's have us a story about 8th grade guys, shall we? I'll start it off:

Lemme just make something clear right off the bat: Middle school is terrible. You wake up earlier, the classes are longer, the homework is more frequent, and everyone's just starting to change, so there's all those pimples and peach-fuzz moustaches and *cough* chests everywhere. I mean, that last one's not so bad, but that's not the point.

It's especially bad when you learn next to NOTHING from the classes. Heck, I'm in accelerated math and English this year. It's ridiculous. So now I'm getting up an hour earlier than in elementary school, taking a cramped, noisy, and vaguely pee-smelling bus to a place designed purely for the soul-sucking process of learning the same thing over and over again, broken up on occasion by something vaguely unknown to you, to sit there being bored out of my mind for seven hours. And don't even get me started on the drama. You know exactly what I'm talking about, with who likes who and why and oh my gosh, Brad cheated on Angelina with Rebecca! And it all begins, once again, tomorrow morning.

But that was sixth and seventh grade. Eighth grade is upon me and I'm now basically a king of the school. I'm determined to do all I can to make the best of it, no matter what. Assuming, of course, that I can keep my eyes open long enough to attempt anything.

I'm interested. I do admit that i'm not around on this site as often as I like, but with Thanksgiving break approaching, I'm up for anything with all this new free time on my hands...first off do you want it all in first person or in several points of view? If the answer is several, should I make a skellie? If first, may I suggest making it in a diary format? Series like "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "American Girl" have been successful with that format. Let me know what you decide.

Well, I'm not sure. I'm somewhat interested in the idea of a diary format, but I also like creating dialogue and thinking of people's thoughts in the moment. Perhaps it could be a little like Pendragon, where this dude, whatever his name is - something with a "D," maybe - speaks in first person, and then there are a few other perspectives (perhaps from a girl's for interestingsnessnessness' sake) written in third person. We'll figure it out. What do you think is a good idea?

((Oh, also, perhaps we should use the double parentheses for OOC text?))

((yea, kinda forgot about the parenthesis. oops! anyways, i love the idea of combinding the idea between the two; in order to descrepince between the diary format and the person's point of view, add a date to the heading of an entry. It also helps that when the entry ends that you switch to a third person perspective. would you like me to continue where you left off in first person or should i develop more characters for the story?

lemme know what yo decide,

((Well, how about you think about a few characters that we can introducde in a while, tell them to me OOC, and then write something IC simultaneously? It doesn't have to be long; just something to continue the story and give me something to post.

By the way, how do you feel about Pokémon?))

((Sorry that i havent been talking for two days. Schoolwork was keeping me sidetracked. I love pokémon and anything else anime for that matter. If that should be the influence, then i will hold off on other characters. )) Well as if being an eighth grader wasn't pressure enough, now my dad got transferred!!! I'm going to have to start all over again. Not that it was any good to begin with but at least I was starting to feel comfortable. What am I going to do? I'm clueless. School starts monday and we board the plane tommorrow.

((No, no, it's not gonna be the influence, though perhaps he could be a bit of a nerd about it... :P So yeah, you can develop other characters as well. Anyway, I have to brush my teeth, so I'll see if I can get a blurb up before I needa go, though I doubt it. Cheers!))
