A story about an ordinary teenage girl, who discovers she is the only one who can save her kingom and the world from the curse of an evil sorceress.

Ok, how about Mira's parents (King Clec and Queen Aryella) are killed in a siege/rebellion from an evil force that's led by an evil sorceress (who turns out to be the Queen's jealous sister). Then, like you said, a curse is cast over the kingdom and the mortal world, so she must go on a quest to save everything? Along the way she could meet other kids also.
Yeah. We could have her go to different cities in her kingdom and the mortal world to get supplies/find magical items and she could meet other kids there.
