Hey guys - This forum is a "continue-the-story" forum. Just keep writing :)

Some say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, learn from your mistakes. Not for me. It took just one mistake to turn my world upside down and ruin everything.
It happened on a snowy day underneath a willow tree. I used to go there when I was a kid a lot. It was peacful there until I saw what led to my entire world shattering.
I was about thirteen at the time. Naive and adolescent. As I watched the snow fall down and heard silence fill the air, I noticed something in the distance.
It wasn't too big nor too small. It looked like a human actually. So I wasn't too upset by it until....
...it started running towards me at an amazing speed.
My first instinct was to run, but something in the back of my mind told me to hold my ground, so I did.
By now you're probably thinking my brain insisted that I stay and see the creature instead of run to safety.
But strangely enough, that wasn't the case. It was something calming, something radiating from off the creature compelling me to stay and stand ....
... right in it's way. I felt for sure it was going to run me over and I was going to die then and there. But as the creature got closer to me, it slowed down and stopped.
It just stares at me; eyes black as coal. I surpressed the urge to shiver as I stared into it's eyes ....
Slowly, it began to walk towards me with it's looming walk.
Darkness and malovent radiating off of it as it continues to walk toward me. I so desprately want to run, but it still has control over me. So I wait until finally, it's standing right in front of me.
"What are you?" I whisper at it. It is breathtaking, something that can only have been created by a wonderful dream.
Much to my dismay, it doesn't reply. But the black, fathomless eyes burning into me slowly light up, becoming discs of fire. I wait for it to make a move, frozen in fear and anticipation....
..He brings his face near mine, almost as if to kiss me but instead whispers in my year, "Hello princess..."
"I'm here to change you. To shape you into the thing you, and everyone always knew they wanted to be."
"What's going on?" I'm somehow whispering more quietly now.
Suddenly, the voice turned to somewhat of a normal tone. "You see, from the moment of conception we are human, but what is human. Scientifically, we are part of the animal kingdom, we are one and the same with the Bald Eagle circling our heads above us. So somewhere in all of us is a desire to be "a lower creature. I've taken that desire and acted on it, and I've come to make sure you do the same."
Confused, I start to protest, but before I can get a word out, he grabs me by the arm. There is a strange rushing sound and falling sensation.
A clawed hand ever so gently rests on my neck. "I sensed resistance in you, and insinctively tried to stop you. This is something you're going to learn, and eventually teach, but frist you have two choices. Come with me or perish." The hand pressed down harder. This was going to be hard.
Some incoherent thought about wanting to live burned through my mind, and that was enough for him. I was suddenly the air, and he was the hand that could capture smoke. Where was I?
What was I?
In a different context I would have believed my captor insane.
A lower form of life, as it were. But who would really know what makes life high and low?
God, I'm so cold. Or maybe it's him that's cold.
And suddenly we were somewhere else. It felt like we were running 199 miles per hour, yet we weren't. No, it was like the world was rushing around us, I merely a part of the picture.
And then we stopped at a clearing.
