((Okay:) And thanks for the idea))
Determination and Dignity. That's what it felt like. Most likely to her, it was Doofus and Stupidity. She seemed to tease me as she gained speed, sometimes slowing down to make me think I was catching up. I shot five more times, all in different directions. She would try to dodge one, and run into another. If she dodged that, there were still the others she'd have to avoid. I smiled with evil content. This was going to be good.
A beam flew right by me as I jumped to the side another threatened to hit me. What was he doing? Yet another threatened to hit me. I wasnt as lucky in dodging that one. "Holy Crap!" It didn't hurt too awful bad, but it was enough to slow me down. I shot at him purely for accuracy purposes.
I almost laughed. Then she shot me. It brushed my cheek but it hurt real bad. I blocked out the pain and ran towards her.
I ran but the pain stopped me short. I let a noise escape my lips that was a cross between a growl and a whimper. I couldnt believe he might actually win.
I laughed for real this time. My eyes were watering when I did laugh. I was going to win for once!!! In my excitment, I glanced around, as if there were invisible spectators watching our battle. But instead I saw a giant brown thing. It was round with dark brown things all over it.(Not the toilet by the way...) I looked back ahead to see if my ally was seeing this. But all I saw, and in that next moment, felt, was hard tree bark to my face and stomach. I flipped over myself, stunned and suprised. The giant round thing turned around. Large eyes suddenly appeaered. And it gave out a mighty roar with his sharp fangs shimmering in the sunlight. I tried to stand, but wobbled like a drunk into all the surrounding trees. The thing was getting menacingly closer, slowly, as if confident in what it would do. Whatever that was, I didn't want to find out.
Since I valued my life more than my pride (at the moment) I screamed out a really needed,
Help? Was that a joke? He was winning. I turned around to scream at him but instead gasped at what i saw. He really did need my help. I looked down at my leg and decided i was just going to have to suck it up. I darted toward him as fast as i could and grabbed him. "COME ON!" His slow pace didnt satisfy me at all, not with that thing coming toward us. I picked him up and ran with my greatest speed to the top of the mountain and put him down breathing heavily.
Teen ink won't let me post much from this iPod I'm really sorry
its alright :)
Holy crap. I would like to try and deny my amazement, but I can't. Instead, I try to help out by shooting it. The laser goes straight through as it rolls away screaming.
Holy crap, why did I ever doubt her? She was amazing though I would never tell her that. I tried to help by shooting the thing with my laser gun. The shot went straight through and it rolled away with an agonized scream. I thought I was victorious, until I heard a rumble above me.
I was still catching my breath when everything stopped. All i could hear was my heart beat, the hitch in his breath and that slow menacing rumbling. I looked to him as if to ask what we should do.
"I don't know! You're supposed to be the smart one!" I say, my voice squeaking.
"Ok. I'll run and you shoot!" Grabs you and runs with as much speed as my injured leg will allow. I run toward home hoping that we can grab weapons.
So I shoot. That's my style, right? Except that after fourteen shots there are 5 of these things after us and I'm all out of shots. The red light blinks on my gun.
"What's going on?"
"You don't wanna know," I reply. Suddenly, the gun dissolves, our world's way of resisting pollution.
I turn around and see three more of the things join the chase.
"Don't ook back," I say, "Just run."
I run faster sencing his nurvousness.
"Get my gun its on my belt!"
"I don't feel comfortable grabbing there!!!" I say, "what if I miss?!"
"Just get it!" I practically growl at him. The though of his hands on me ran through my mind but I quickly pushed the distraction away. I could never let him know I was thinking of him like that. I pick up speed as if to escape my thoughts as well. This was not the time for thoughts like that.
"Hey!" I say as I try to grab for the weapon, "slow down, I can't get it!" I hear more rumbles behind us, "On second thought," I say, grabbing the weapon and shooting one of them where a forehead should be, "You're doing just fine!"
My lips curl into the slightest of smiles and keeps running fast. How were these things keeping up? I should have way outrun them by now. What was going on?
