Hello Teen Ink users! (Tinkers? Inkers? What do you like to be called?)
We at Teen Ink are opening this thread up as a way for us to get feedback on the website and magazine, as well as hear any concerns you might have.
For general questions about the submission process and forum workings, I will most likely redirect you to the FAQ threads on the main forum page. For more specific questions, feel free to post here and ask me!
I'm also interested in your experiences using the website. Let me know if there's anything you really like, or feel could be improved.
If you would like to speak more privately about an issue, feel free to email editor@TeenInk.com and we will do our best to resolve the problem.
Hey Mod! I was wondering how to get a picture of the book I'm reviewing. All the other reviews have them but I don't know how to get the picture and the little "Support Teen Ink! Buy online!" thingy on the side.
Thank you! -Artgirl1999
Choose any random picture. Be sure to type in the name and the author's name correctly. You'll see that after the reveiw gets on the site, TI automatically puts the picture of the book as the front cover.
Dynamo is correct, the editors will add in the book cover for you as part of the reviewing process so for now you may choose any art of your choice, or go without.
Oh yes, and we go by TeenInkers. :D
I'm having some trouble viewing my work through email links Teen Ink sends me. The email will say "you have been voted number 1 and will remain on the page the whole day." I follow the link to see my work on the front page but I cannot find my work. Is there anyway to fix this, or see my work on the front page?
I'm sorry you were unable to see your piece. I myself have noticed that the emails are not always accurate, and have brought it up with our programmers. We're doing our best to resolve the issue.
For now, I can only suggest checking multiple times during the day; if your piece was scheduled to display under the "From Our Print Magazine" section in particular the displayed pieces change quickly.
Hello Mod. I had a piece published in the April issue of Teen Ink, but I never received my copy of the issue. I emailed the editor about it last week, but I haven't received an answer. Is there anyone else I contact about it? Thank you!
All claims sent to the office should have been filled. Could you please send an email to alex@TeenInk.com confirming your address and I will get a replacement in the mail by next week?
Did you get the email? I sent it as "Triscuits's Address," but I forgot to add a note about why I sent it in.
I got the email, I will get a copy in the mail for you today. (:
Thank you very much for your help! (:
Ummmmmmmm.... I think that this is the right place to put this. Is it possible that TeenInk could add a section for cooking in the non-fiction area of the website?
I'll be sure to bring it up at our next staff meeting for discussion :)
when i post a poem do i have to past it or can i just
write it here? also i had a hard time finding where to click when i am ready to post it.
Thank you, Mod. Also, how do you choose what stories/poems you publish in the TI books? Is it something that people submit it to? Or what?
You can write it in the submission box if you wish, but please be aware the site will auto-log you out if you stay on it too long without clicking anything. To avoid losing work we recommend you type your work elsewhere and paste it in.
Any article that is submitted to our website is eligible to publication in a book. We also sometimes send out requests for work if we haven't enough and recieve those submissions via email.
I am not directly part of that process but as far as I am aware articles are searched by tag to see if they match our topic, then re-read by editors to choose the best for the book.
It's me, Topaz. (Now I go by Indigo...) I have another question.
One of my pieces got Editor's Choice a couple of months ago. Is it still being considered for the magazine?
Also, if a piece doesn't get Editor's Choice, is it still being considered for the mag?
