Need a new style for my shoulder length hair

Soooooooo, I got my hair cut a couple weeks ago, and I need ideas for stuff to do with it. I got ten inches cut off, and it is now just pass my shoulders. It's pretty thick, so I need something that will go okay with thick hair. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

You could try doing it up in a french braid? It depends on what kind of look you're going for.

there is a ton of stuff you could do! You could do ponytails. You could get a gorgeous headband and put it on. There's millions of ideas!

I love to french braid, but I don't like it on my hair. It's real pretty looking, but I'm just not a huge fan though. But thanks! :)

And I haven't worn headband in a looooooong time, haha! So I guess I could get back into that. :) THanks.

Any other ideas?

You could try putting it up in a bun, almost anywhere on your head. Some people wear it on the side, some wear it at the anpe of thier neck, some at hte top of their head.  You could also try doing a bunch with only the front part of your hair, so it's out of your face but at the same time it's down.

I have about the same length hair that you do, and it is SUPER thick lol.

Anyway, I have curly hair, so I just simply keep it down and clip a piece back.

If I don't like the curls after a shower I curl it myself, and that's usually what I do everyday, then I clip a little piece to the side. I get complements on it. So it might be worth a shot for you. ;) haha.

This is way late, but I want to bumpy his thread. :) A good idea for any length of hair is to do a thin braid down the side. You can even put in colored yarn or something to make it look cool.

Oh, great! Thanks for the idea:) My hair is actually getting really long now, but I'll still have to try out that braid. Thank you, TopaztheArticulate:)

Also, you can always do a waterfall braid. I don't know how to do them myself, but with a little practice they can be absolutely beautiful!

Yeah, thanks! I think my sister knows how to do a waterfall braid (and I kinda do) so I'll have to get her to try it on my hair!

I had my hair shoulder length for a looonnngg time and there's a billion things you can do with it. But it also depends on whether or not it's curly. I have curly hair and, in my opinion, curly hair is more fun to play with when it comes to different styles. But there's a lot of stuff you can do with straight hair too. Anyway, my point is, just play around with it. Mix braids and buns together (like I left the front section of my hair down, put the middle and back section into a bun, then braided the front section and looped it around to the back. It was cute), or maybe do victory rolls, or leave the front section down, parted on the side, and put the rest up in a ponytail or bun. You can google more hairstyles or go on pinterested like I do. I got a ton of hair tutorials on my pinterest. It's fun to play around with it. Hope I helped!!
