Alexander stood there shocked for a moment. She likes me this much? I would have be never thought someone so smart and pretty would like a selfish guy like me. He slowly wrapped his arms around her waist kissing her back. He breaks the kiss and whispers "Aribelle will you stay by my side and be my motivation in life?"
Aribelle looked up at him, smiling widely, "Of course Alexander. I wouldn't want it any other way." She placed her hand gently on his cheek pressing her lips lightly against his once more. She pulled away whispering, "Please never leave me again."
He lightly smiled "I promise I will never leave you again silly girl." He looked over at her brother and chuckled. He let go of her "how is father?"
Both the siblings grew quiet, neither willing to speak of their now deceased father. Jonah stepped forward, speaking for his sister, "He died a few days after you both...well stopped speaking to each other. The doctors couldn't do anything. They tried...but..." Jonah trailed off, taking Aribelle's hand into his.
Aribelle looked at the ground, a few small tears falling down her cheeks. She didn't know how much longer they could last on their own, they had already gone through the little savings they did have avaible.
Alexander stood there shocked. Those doctors weren't able to save him? They were supossed to be the best around. "I'm sorry." Alexander said looking at aribelle "you can get through this, I know you can because I know you're strong." Alexander wanted to help her but he doesn't know if he'll be able to because of the situation he's in.
Aribelle looked up at Alexander saying, "It's fine, love. There is nothing to be sorry for." She smiled feebly, letting go of her brother's hand to take his.
Alexander pulled her in for a hug and grabbed her brother "its a group hugged." He chuckle and let go of them. "I'll see you in a bit beautiful, I have to go find work." He will do anything to provide for them.
Aribelle threw her arms around him, holding him tightly for a few moments, "Come back to me, okay?" She buried her face into the crook of her neck before kissing his cheek, letting him go.
"I'll be back soon." He said and walked away. He was helping a old women at her shop today. He was going to get a good ammount of pay. He'll finally have enough money to buy a new house and sell his old one. Mother wouldn't like that but they have to do things best for them. He also might have extra money to take Aribelle on a proper date.
Aribelle turned to face Jonah, scolding him. He shouldn't have left the house, no matter how much he wanted to believe he could. She gently took his arm in between her fingers pulling him back to the small home. Huffing as she pushed open the door, she laid him down on the small bed. She pointed at him saying, "You stay there while I go to work. You hear me?" Jonah rolled his eyes at his sister muttering, "Yes mother." Aribelle hated being called mother, even if if was in the sarcastic notion. It didn't sound right on her brother's lips. Sighing, she grabbed the tattered coat from the chair, heading back out into the cold.
"Alexander." The old women called me "yes ma'am?" She walked up to him smiling "I need you to go lift somethings, come this way." I fold the old women and grabbed a couple of boxes for her. I saw a old picture of a tiny family "that's my family." She said "my husband passed away and my daughter moved far away." "Why did she move?" "She fell in love." She turned away "he didn't get along with her father so they left." Alexander set the boxes down. "Have you seen since?" "No but Alexander..." "But what?" "I would have done the same thing if I was in love because you'll never be able to find a person like that again." Alexander moved the boxes to the front. I held her sell things and while I was I thought about what she said.
By the time her shift was over, Aribelle could hardly move. She hated working at the factory she did now. It was hard labor and it barely paid anything, but it was money. All day she couldn't help but to think about Alexander. He consumed her mind that day. Trudging back through the snow filled streets, she eventually made it back home but was freezing.
Alexander finished his last job for the day "see you tomorrow." He told the old women "see you tomorrow Alexander." Alexander walked into the streets. He stopped and looked around at everyone Even though he was on the poor side of town everyone looked so happy. He slowly walked towards his house. He was telling his mother that they have to move today.
Aribelle checked on her brother before making her way to Alexander's home. Sucking in a deep breath, she knocked on the door hoping he was home.
((Oh my gosh i'm so sorry... i've been looking for a job and well everything got crazy after graduation))
Alexander walked up to his door and found Aribelle "why hello there." He said. His mom opened the door. "Alexander were you trying to sneak a girl in the house?" He stood there confused "no?"
"Then why knock?" He looked at Aribelle "Aribelle got here before me."
"oh come in dear!" Alexanders mother pulled her inside "So who are your parents?" His mother asked expecting Aribelle to be ritch.
Aribelle frowned, saying, "Dead. It's just my brother and I." She took a step towards Alexander, taking his hand into hers. She took in a deep breath, asking, "Why?"
Alexanders mom forced a smile "I'm so a sorry dear." His mother sat down. "Alexander is she your friend?" Alexander sighed "I Love her mother.' Alexanders mom put her hand over hee hear and started breathing heavily. "I will not allow this son." "Its my choice mother." "Go to your room." Alexander stood there staring at his mom "we'll never make back to the top were stuck at the bottom." "Out!" She yelled
Aribelle looked up at Alexander, saying, "We don't have much, but you're welcome to live with us." Dare she say it, but she did, "Along with your mother. If she'd like." She tightened her grip on his hand, leaning into him, "I love him. So much, please see that? Neither of us care about the money."
