The festivities were officially over. After Misty collapsed no one really wanted to celebrate anymore. Prophecies didn't make poeple happy. Most people wandered off to thier cabins. Jack stayed behind to clean up. He hoped soemone would explain what had happened to him, but everyone seemed to be leaving and he didn't ask.
Peter left the Hephestus group and headed up to the Big House. He hoped the girl was OK. Peter didn't even know her name, but he'd seen her around, she was a nice girl from what he could tell.
Peter was 'first' on scene anyway. He'd been teh first up trying to help, he had a right to know if she was going be OK.
Tamara shook with fear. She had heard those lines in her dreams, along with the visions of a rather large hand reaching for her. She raced to the Zeus cabin, throwing the door open. She panted heavily and stared at the marble floor before her. Her brother, Jason, looked at her and raised an eyebrow.
Rhea pondered about the lines the young girl had spoken. What could it mean? She knew it meant a quest was to be arranged, as far as she knew. That's what usually happened at this camp anyway. She noticed a girl who had bolted out of the amphitheater, which made Rhea even more interested in the prophecy.
Jack looked over at Rhea,
"What's this all mean, miss?" he asked as he cleaned the stage up with a broom. Hephestus would dismantle it later. Jack looked eagerly to Rhea, waitig for her answer.
Peter entered the Big House,
"Is she OK? The girl who fell?" he asked Chiron,
"Yes." the centuear said. "I think she's sleeping you may check on her...Her names Misty." he toldPeter. Peter nodded and walked into the infirmery.
Misty was dreaming. She was in a field of grass.... like a prarie but no sun shined. She felt like she was flying in the void of sky. The scene changed to a large chasm. It was to far and to deep for her to see how big it was. A faint but understandable whisper slithered into her.
"Such a lovely little demi-god.... like clay, needing to be molded into what she can be... her true potential."
Misty felt a shiver run up her spine but she couldn't move. Another, more human voice came out.
"Yes master.... full potential." The whisper laughed cruelly and the scene changed again. This time she was atop a large building. Smoke rose from the city below her and the screams echoed in her ears. She yelled.
"No! make it stop please! No more! Make it stop!" Seh tried to break from the invisible power that held her at this gruesome scene. "Make it stop!"
Misty was screaming. Peter quickly hurried forward and shook her,
"Wake up, wake up." he said. He wondered if it was another part of the prophecy that she was dreaming. Peter felt a bit awkward. He thought Misty was a nice girl, which is why he'd been so quick to help her, but he kenw she liked Leo so he avoided he rto the point he didn't even know her name until now, or if he kenw it he'd forgotten.
"COme on, wake up." he siad kindly.
(ok is it ok if i say she doesn't have a crush?)
Misty twisted and turned in her eyes flew open. She breathed heavily and thrashed. For a second or two she didn't know where she was until she remembered the prophecy and the show and the camp... She put her head in hands and tried to forget what she had seen.
[yeah its fine]
Rhea looked at Jack. "I'm not quite sure yet, but I've heard of it before. And did you see the girl who ran out? She might know."
"Otay. Thank you, miss." he siad simply. He was happy with that answer. He kept cleaning the stage. He couldn't actually remember the girl who ran out, everything had beenc onfusing, but he trusted Rhea and hoped she'd ask the girl. He prbably wouldn't even be able to rememebr waht to ask if he did try.
Peter stepped back Misty thrashed. She seemed deeply disturbed, frightened, or upset by what she'd seen,
"Are you OK? Do you need me to get Chiron?" Peter asked, sitting on a near by chair.
Rhea got up and ran after the girl. She looked around frantically before dashing to the Zeus cabin. She knocked on the door and yelled, "Please open up! I'm looking for someone!"
Tamara yelled back, "GO AWAY!"
Jack finished cleaning and went to find a cabin to sleep in. He knew he shoudl head over to Hermes, but it was still so crowded he didn't like to stay there.
Jack saw Rhea over by Zeus cabin, he walked over, his hands in his pockets. RHea was eally the only person who'd talked to hm. He'd tried talking with others, but most of them didn't understand his speech or they didn;t want to talk to someone like him, someone disabled, or theyw ere too busy and too fst for his slow mind. He was about to say something when the girl inside satrted yelling. Jack nervously backed up, he hated yelling.
"Everyone dead. Everyone dying! So many innocent caught in between!" She was deeply horrified by her dream and struggled to regain her emotions in check. She took a deep breath.
"I'm alright.... what happened? I was about to perform and then... well it was hard to describe.... like someone pulling me into a dark current."
Rhea said calmly, "Please. I need your help." She looked at Jack and sighed softly.
Tamara opened the door and stared at the girl on the steps. "What?"
Jack shook his head. They were angry, he didn't like the yelling the tension. It was very thick, he wanted it to go away,
Jack nervously shifted from foot to foot,
"Sowwy...I don't know what to do to help." he siad hanging his head and shoving his hands in his pockets.
Peter cocked his head,
"Dead? Dying? What's wrong, Misty? Do you need Chiron?" he asked, lenaing forward and placing a large calloused hand on the small Demigod's shoulder.
Rhea sighed again, completely out of ideas. She buried her head in her hands and closed her eyes tightly.
Tamara looked at the girl and then at Jack. "It's about the Prophecy, isn't it?"
Misty didn't flinch from the warm hand. It made her feel safer.
"Just a dream.... just a dream... What happened after I passed out? Like during the prophecy." Misty bit her lip. What would the other campers say about her? What if she became an outcast like the way she had in school?
Peter stood upa dns atrte dto pace,
"Um hold on, lemme remember..." he siad,
"The greatest lord shall come undone...uh....
The darkest clouds cover the sun....um....lemme think...
The two civlizations meet again
To put the dark lord to an end.....
When Tarturus breaks free......I got this hold on.... The five become on, and face the Enemy " He recited, stumbling and mumbling through it, he siad it low enough so Misty couldn't heat him at first then he stood adn faceed her,
"Here it is, I remmeber it all now." he stated,
"The greatest lord shall come undone
The darkest clouds cover the sun
The two civlizations meet again
To put the dark lord to an end.
When Tarturus breaks free
The five become on, and face the Enemy "
She sighed and muttered something about the demigods greatest enemy before turning to walk back into the Zeus cabin.
Rhea looked up. She remembered her dream from a week ago. About some great being destroying Camp Half-Blood and all of the Earth...
Misty lifted her head as thunder rumbled outside. The rain began to come down and patter against the window pane.
"The greatest lord shall come undone.... Zeus? He is the greatest of the gods.... darkest clouds covering the sun..... maybe a storm or an eclipse? Two civilizations.... two civilizations." She sat up and winced slightly but shook it away. Chiron entered and she greeted him quietly.
"You shouldn't be sitting up just yet. I am gathering the cabin leaders for a meeting." Misty perked up.
"I'm alright really! Please let me come to the meeting! I want to figure this prophecy out too!"
Peter nodded, taking this as his cue to leave. He wasn't leader in his cabin, he was just a normal camper. He hadn't even been taken on a quest yet.
"I'll go...see ya later, Misty." he siad running off.
Misty watched sadly as Peter left. She liked him as a friend. Chiron looked at her with his his wise eyes.
"No, you must rest. Tomorrow you take your place with the Apollo cabin. Goodnight." Chiron left the room and Misty let her head fall on the pillow. She stared outside at the rain hitting the window pane. Would she ever fit in anywhere?
