Name: Hali Delano
Appearance: She has copper red hair that falls just to her shoulders, she has side bangs and often wears her hair in braids or in an elastic with a baseball cap. Her green eyes have flecks of gold in them and are rimmed in dark black eyeliner, her skin is pale and imprinted with a small tattoo just below her collar bone. She stands at about 5’6 and wears jeans, shorts and t-shirts… or anything else she finds to be comfortable along with her brown cowboy boots.
Name: Benjamin (Ben) McLeane
Appearance: He is tall exactly 6 feet with long limbs. His skin is tan, and his hands are callused from long days outside. His eyes are a golden brown and give the impression of missing nothing. His hair is brown and shaggy, falling into his eyes no matter how many times he brushes it out of his eyes. He wears jeans and a ratty t-shirt all the time, though he did have some nicer clothes but he never wore them. He always stands with his back straight.
Personality: He is quick to understand concepts given to him, but often that hurts him more than helps him. When he feels something is not right he will get into a fight, but he will not give up until he cannot move. This has made him strong and with a high pain tolerance. He is calm most of the time. ((this may end up changing as the stroy develops))
Alright! I like him :) Shall we start? Would you like to start or should I?
((I'll start with him coming into the barn if thats alright. If not, then ingnor this post :) ))
Ben closed his eyes from the pain leaning against a tree. He wasn't sure how much further he could go, and if he was left outside by nightfall... either the cold or the animals would kill him. Ben shivered but pushed on, his hand clamped over his broken arm. He was bleeded freely from several cut and injurys, the worst on his leg, straight down to the bone. Ben had thought it would be a straight up hands to hands fight but the guy had pulled a knife. Wrenching his mind from his pain, he forged on.
Right after twilight, Ben saw a building ahead. Thinking of pleading shelter, he stumbled through the feilds to the building only to find it was a barn. Ben pulled open the door and was met with a burst of warm air. He made it in the door and shut it behind him before colapsing into a pile of hay, staining it red.
((If you want to skip to when she finds him thats fine with me :) ))
Hali woke up in the morning to the sound of her alarm clock. She turned it off and slid out of bed, taking a quick shower and brushing her teeth before pulling on a pair of jean shorts and a white t-shirt. She braided her hair into two braids, pulled on her cowboy boots and went outside to start the day. She was walking down the path towards the barn when she noticed little drops of reddish brown leaving a trail in the direction of the barn. She didn't know whether the blood was leading towards the barn or away from it, but none the less she knew something wasn't right. She hurried towards the barn and pushed open th heavy door with a loud creak.
Ben had fallen asleep right where he lay the night before. When the barn door opened, Ben awoke with a start and looked at the opening barn door. He looked frantically around him, there were no weapons around him if he needed to defend himself, none the less was he able to move very much. Ben worriedly looked at the door, who was behind it?
Hali pushed the door open all the way and walked inside, she was slightly startled when she actually found someone laying there on the hay. The hay that was now stained with red... She looked over the young man, his shirt stained with blood, bruises lining his tanned skin. She was sure her mouth was hanging open slightly and her skin was pale as a ghost, she tried to gain a bit of composure as she took a few steps towards the man and kneeled down before him just out of reach.
Bens heart rate went down a little bit when he saw that it was simply a girl. As long as it wasn't Them. The girl's mouth was hanging open and Ben looked down at himself pretty sure that he was a mess. She knelt down far enough away from him that he wouldn't be able to reach her. Ben stared at her, then said, "As long as you don't try t hurt me, I won't hurt you, it's okay. Is this your parent's barn?" Ben looked at her his hair falling in his eyes, she looked too young to own a barn.
Hali snapped her mouth shut and cleared her throat, "Y-" She started to say that yes, it was her parents barn but cut herself off and shook her head. "No, it's my barn." She corrected herself and slowly stood up, she went over and kneeled down next to him on the hay. "D-do you think that you could walk...?" She asked slowly, if he could walk than she could get him to the house, get him cleaned up a bit... maybe figure out what happened to him.
Ben blinked at her, first suprized that she had come to him, then suprized again when she asked him if he could walk. Ben watched her for a second then said, "Maybe. Let's see." Ben tryed to push himself up, the hay digging into his hand, but quickly colapsed, his leg unable to take the weight. With a grimace, he tryed again, this time manageing to stand, leaning heavily on the wall. He looked down at the hay, "Uh, sorry about the blood." The hay was drenched in his blood, making a large portion of the hay unusable.
Hali jumped to her feet as he pushed himself up the second time, afraid he would collapse again. When he mentioned the hay she glanced down then looked back to him, a small smile spread over her face and she laughed a bit. "It's a material item that I can get more of, no need to apologize." She brushed her hands off on her shorts and moved towards him. "Here, I'll help support some of your weight so you can walk... theres only a short distance between here and my house."
Ben watched her as she moved, then nodded moving to put his arm around her shoulders. She was shorter than he was, so it was a little bit hard to lean on her. Ben tryed to keep his weight on his own feet, but his leg rendered that pratically impossible. Ben swallowed glancing down at the girl, why was she helping him? Did she want payment in return? He was a total stranger to her.
Hali hooked her arm around his waist and moved slowly out of the barn and towards her house, it was a little difficult but she didn't really mind. She looked up at him and gave him a small smile when she found him looking at her. She helped him to the house and up the few small steps leading to the door before pulling open the small screen door that led inside.
By the time they got to the house, Ben was breathing in gasps, trying and failing to hold off the pain. "S-stop for a moment. Let me catch my breath." Ben's eyes closed as he managed to bear with the pain again. Finally he opened his eyes and looked again at the girl with a small frown, "Why are you helping me?"
"If you can make it a few more steps we can get inside and I can help with some of those cuts..." Hali said, looking up at him. "What?" She was a little taken back by the question. Was it not normal to help someone who was hurt? She stared at him for a moment before answering. "It's the civil thing to do. Why would I leave you there when you're hurt?"
Ben looked at her, his mouth partically open. "I guess I haven't been too exposed to civil people in awhile. And any bandages would help." Ben stared back at the door, dertermined to make it inside. Slowly he limped up the stairs, leaning heavily on the girl. When they got to the top, he was breathing heavy again, but waited for her to open the door, trying to be polite.
Hali frowned a little and looked at the ground before moving with him. She opened the door and led him inside and into the living room, helping him onto the couch. "I'll be right back."
Ben grimaced with each step and feel onto the couch, no strength left. He blinked and nodded at her words. Ben closed his eyes his head back on the couch, getting his breath back. He didn't want this girl to be in danger, so he planned on leaving soon.
((Grr... I keep spelling words wrong! *fell not feel))
((Dont worry about correcting them, I get the idea of what you mean so it's okay, haha :P ))
Hali walked out of the room, pausing by the doorway she looked back at him over her shoulder before going to grab a few things. She returned with a small first aid kit a clean cloth and a bowl of warm water. She went over and set the stuff on the floor infront of the couch before kneeling down beside it.
