Vergil walks to practice, with the girl he bumped into by accident. "Man, I wish I had gotten her name" He kept telling himself. He was so lost in thought that even the coach was asking where his head was today "If only you knew..." He said
Jessie sat in class, still thinking about the guy she had run into earlier. Her teacher asked her, "Jessie? Are you alright?" The blonde girl perked up. "Yes, ma'am. Just thinking that's all."
When practice was over, Vergil was able to leave school since he was mainly home schooled, but was able to join the local schools football team, but instead of leaving today, he stood in the court yard at a bench, looking around and thinking about her, before one of his buddies broke his train of thought and asked what was up with his game today. And he began to explain, and talked to him for awhile.
Jessie got up when the bell had rung. She walked to her locker and put her Biology book away, taking out her Art book afterwards. She closed the metal door and then walked out to the court yard, tucking a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear. She noticed the boy she had bumped into earlier and decided to go up to talk to him. "Hi..." she said nervously, her eyes flickering from him to the ground, as if her shoes were suddenly the most interesting thing in the world.
Vergils friend said his goodbyes as she came up to him. "hello there" he said, unsure of what to really say as he studied the girl.
Jessie tucked her Art book under her arm and said, "Thank you... for helping me earlier..." She bit her lip in nervousness and looked at him. "I'm Jessie, by the way," she said, smiling softly at him.
Vergil smiles at the fact, her nervousness is cute. "No problem, I was the one who after all bumped into you, I wouldn't leave you there to pick up the mess I made, And I am Vergil, would you like to have a seat?" He said patting the seat next to him.
Jessie smiled softly and sat next to him. "That's a cool name," she complimented. Then she set her Art book in her lap and watched as other kids walked by. "So what are you up to? I haven't really seen you around," she said, smiling.
"That's because I am homeschooled, I only come here for football, nothing else." He said, smiling at Jessie.
Jessie smiled softly at Vergil. "Lucky you," she said, giggling softly. "I have an off period during seventh period that's it. I wish I could just walk off campus sometimes and go do what I really want to do." Then she looked forward again. "So why are you hanging around if you're homeschooled, I mean I know practice is over." She looked at the ground and then at him.
"Oh, a buddy of mine was asking what's up with me today. I guess my head wasn't really into practice today, and honestly, I ain't in any rush to get home." He said looking at her.
"My teacher was like that too," she said, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "Biology isn't really my favorite class, but today I just wasn't feeling it."
Shrugs, "May I ask why? Everything okay?" I say.
Jessie only shrugged. "I-I don't know, really..." she trailed off, looking at the ground.
"Hmmm" Vergil says. "Anything I can do to help?" He added, as he watched her expressions, trying to figure out whats wrong.
Jessie smiled softly and said, "Well, it's not like I have a bad grade or something... I was just a bit... distracted I guess." She looked at him and bit her lip nervously.
[you're from Titusville???? I was born there!!!]
((Haha! No way! I live in Titusville, and I am using a computer from the HS, lol. Small world!))
"And what got that pretty little head of yours distracted?" Vergil says, not realizing he actually just said she was pretty, but in a corny way; and was kinda' feeling stupid for having said that.
[the Titusville high school??? My mom went there. And my biological dad. I lived there most of my life!!!!]
Jessie blushed at what he said and mumbled nervously, "W-well... I-I..." She struggled to find the words to say to him, but found it rather diffcult. "I guess... I don't want this to sound creepy or anything," she added, "But I was kind of distracted by... you... I guess, at least..." She blushed furiously before hiding her face in her hands.
((No way! At least you got out of here, it's really boring.))
Vergil turned towards her once he realized what she said, and gently pulled her hands away from her face and looked into her eyes. "That's not creepy at all... Because you're the reason my game was off today." He said softly.
[:p Yeah. My mom does NOT miss Florida at all. I do, only a little. I loved there with my dad and grandma last year for about 4 months, and I bet it's boring. It always has been for me.]
Jessie looked at him, her cheeks turning a bright red. "R-Really?" She was at least grateful that it didn't sound creepy at all. She bit her lip nervously, pondering about what he said. He was the first guy at the school to notice her. She loked at the ground, still wondering what to say to him.
