Vergil pulls into an empty parking lot, and looks at Nicky. "Nicky, calm down, hun. You're safe. No one can hurt you here. I promise. Let me take you to my house for dinner, okay? Its okay, relax, hun." Vergil rubs her cheek again, trying to help her relax a little.
Nicky blinked at him, then took a deep breath, lowering her head so her hair hid her face even more. "I'm okay..." She sighed, closing her eyes, trying to relax and look calm. She hadn't eaten since yesterday, and she was hungry.
Vergil ignores her reply and decides to take her home for dinner, and when he pulls into his drive way he says "welcome to my house" as he parks and looks at Nicky.
Nicky blinked up at the house and bit her lip, eyes widening a little as she looked at the house. She didn't say anything, though as she hugged herself through her jacket and felt the bruises along her arms hidden under the material.
Vergil gets out of the car, and walks over to Nickys side and opens her door for her as he sticks his hand out for her.
Nicky cautiously reached out, putting her pale, bony hand into his. She watched the ground as he helped her out. And she clung tightly to her bag, holding it close.
Vergil holds onto her hand as he lead her into the house. "Why don't we just hang your bag here, I promise, it'll be here when you're ready to leave." He looks at her waiting for her response.
"I...I have homework..." Nicky whispered. But she reluctantly let go of the bag, hanging the ragged thing up carefully.
Vergil giggles a little, "Well, homework is just going to have to wait, its dinner time, hope you like shrimp alfredo" he says as he walks towarda the kitchen.
"I like food." Nicky whispered. Not looking up. She hugged herself though her thin, worn out hoodie, walking along carefully, still hiding a limp. Her stomach growled a little, weakly.
Vergil starts cooking dinner, and says "I'm glad you like food, there's plenty here, feel free to help yourself" as he waited for the noodles to boil, he walks up to Nicky and pushes her hair behind her ears as he rubs her cheeks. "Hey, its okay" whispers looking into her eyes
"I know it's okay." Nicky whispered, not meeting his eyes. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to keep herself from crying. She just felt so stressed, so scared and helpless. And then, he came along. Saving her from being bullied, taking her away while her dad calmed down, feeding her. It was so nice. No one had ever treated her like this before. It was overwhelming.
Vergil eyes become a light blue as he wraps his arms around Nicky, bringing her into his chest. "Its fine, let all out." He says as he rubs her back.
Nicky stiffened a little when he hugged her, but then relaxed somewhat when he rubbed her back. She sniffled, starting to quietly cry. "Thank you..."
Vergils continues to rub her back as she weeps.
Nicky finally sniffled and pulled away, wiping at her eyes with the back of her hand. She sniffed quietly, shakily. "Thank you..."
Vergil rubs her cheek, "its okay, are you ready to eat?" He looks at her, and smiles at her beautiful face, finally can see completely.
Nicky nodded, taking a deep breath. She hugged herself in her great big hoodie, feeling better, comforted.
Vergil leads Nicky into the dying room, and holds her chair out for her, and sets a plate of food in front of her, as he goes and sits next to her with his own plate.
Nicky looked at the food and her mouth watered. Her stomach growled. She hadn't eaten all day. The most recent food she had eaten was the day before, when she had eaten a half sandwich. She looked at him. Silently asking permission to eat.
