Jessie now felt tears welling in his own eyes. "I don't wanna be here either...." he murmured. "I don't even want to be alive. Maybe we...." his voice trailed off in the middle of his thought.
Ronnie covered her eyes and began to shake. "Don't say that!! We...we can't be..."
Jessie shook his head slowly. "No... I meant this." he whispered, pulling out his knife. "It would be quick and easy. We wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore."
Ronnie cried. "I-I can't... I can't do that again..."
Jessie sighed putting the knife away. "It'll always be there if we need it.." he murmured, running his hand through his tusseled hair. "Let's keep going I guess. I don't think we have much choice."
Ronnie crammed herself in the corner and cried, covering her eyes. "I can't... I just can't..."
Jessie walked over to Ronnie and gently massaged her back with his soft touch. "It's okay, we have each other at least, right?"
Ronnie sobbed and rubbed her eyes. "I'm so scared... I don't wanna be here... H-how do we get out?"
Before Jessie could answer, and angelic figure appeared in front of them. It was transparent, and floated above the ground. "Perhaps I could help." she whispered softly.
Ronnie looked up and blinked. "Are...are you an angel...?"
Jessie stared wide eyed at the misty figure. His jaw was hanging open, evidently awestruck.
The angel smiled. "Yes Ronnie, I'm an angel. I once wandered these tunnels as you are doing now." she murmured quietly.
Ronnie rubbed her eyes. "Do...you know how to get out...?"
