Jessie scooched closer to her, still leaving a gap between them. "You're crying, you can't be okay." he whispered softly to her. He began to feel tears well up in his own eyes.
Ronnie whimpered. "My shoulder hurts... I landed on it."
Jessie sucked in a breath, wincing. "If there was some way we could out of here, then I could get you to a hospital." he murmured, looking around for any possible exit. He looked all around him, and only noticed a series of dark tunnels. "I don't know where any of those lead, but that's our best shot at this point."
Ronnie whimpered. "O-okay... I'm Ronnie..."
"I'm Jessie." he replied curtly. Gently taking her hand, he helped her up and entered a shadowy tunnel to their right. "Your shoulder okay while walking?" he asked.
Ronnie nodded and blushed slightly at his touch. "Yes..." SHe whispered.
Jessie smiled, but didn't say anything in response. He wrapped his arm around her in a way that supported most of her weight. It was in attempt to alleviate some of her pain. Suddenly, he heard a growl coming from ahead. "Did you hear that?" he hissed.
Ronnie whimpered. "Y-yes...." She whispered back.
Jessie walked slowly forward, the tunnel suddenly became lighter, making it easy to see. Hissing sounds began to echo throughout the tunnel, and he felt goosebumps form along his arms. Suddenly, something jumped out in front of them and blocked their path.
"Ah ha... Looks like we have a beautiful young lady here. Just where do you think you're going?" he hissed, running a cold finger under her chin.
Ronnie whimpered. "W-who are you..."
"That is for me to know, and for you to find out." he growled. Only his beady yellow eyes were visible in the darkness. "The only way to pass me is to answer with the correct password." he hissed.
Ronnie began to cry sofly. "P-password?"
(( Okay, so I really don't mean to be picky and I hate correcting people, but in times of action in the roleplay could we avoid one liners? There are occasions where one liners are necessary, but right now it's getting hard for me to respond with one line responses. Sorry, like I said I reeeally hate doing that. Additionally, I don't want to be controlling the whole roleplay so feel free to add any creatures or obstacles in their path :) ))
"Yesss. A password darling." he hissed, taking a step closer to Ronnie. "You have a minute to discuss it with your little friend here. If you don't guess correctly by then, you will be... attacked." he threatend with a cackle. "Now the password i four letters. Three vowels, one consanant. It is "America's favorite cookie." "
Jessie took a step back to talk things over with Ronnie. "Do you know what it is?" he whispered.
(Sorry. Was going to visit a sick friend, poor thing had to have her kidney removed, I didn't really have time for a long reply.)
Ronnie blinked and her face twisted up a bit. "I-it's Oreos..." SHe looked. up at Jessie. "It's Oreos. My...Mom... SHe used to eat them with me... before..." SHe shut up and stared at her face, whispering to the creature. "Oreos..."
(( Oh well now I feel awful! :( I was just saying in general. I don't mind them every now and then or if we're both on for a long period of time going back and forth. If you're ever in a rush or in a bad place and have to do a short response just let me know please, we all get busy and sometimes under certain circumstances we can't get on :) ))
"Oreos... You're a genius." he murmured. He never really excelled in school, so he marveled when someone was knowledgeable.
The creature stepped aside and let the pair pass. "You got lucky this time. Beware of what dangers lie ahead. I'm the least of your fears and worries at this point." he warned them.
Jessie warily walked past the monster with Ronnie. "It doesn't look like we're getting out of here anytime soon." he mumbled.
Ronnie whined and held her arm, looking down and nodding. She was quiet and timid now, shying away from Jessie slightly. "No it doesn't..."
Jessie flinched as he noticed Ronnie shying away from him. He was used to it, he just didn't expect it of her. "Well whatevers happening we're enduring together. We can do this." he murmured wistfully, wondering if he even believed there was truth to his words.
Ronnie rubbed her arms, tugging her sleeves down nervously. She whimpered and tears dribbled down her face. She didn't care that her parents didn't love her... She wanted to go home...
Jessie turned and saw that Ronnie was crying. Ever so gently, he wiped the tears from her cheeks. "We have each other." he whispered.
Ronnie cried and hugged his torso. "I don't wanna be here anymore... My parents don't even love me, why do you think I killed myself? But I am I here? I'm so scared..."
