Michael stretched his arms above him. A thin stream of energy followed from the slight exercise, clearing his mind and reminding him just how dangerous this was going to be. He hadn't considered when he left that it might be the last time he saw any of those people again.
"I believe you. If you say you have to do this, then you have to do this," he reassured her, putting a hand on her shoulder. She would never have done something like this unless she thought it necessary. "But you have to know that I go with you, no matter what. Even if I don't really understand why, I can't let you do this alone." He smiled, though it was probably too dark for her to tell. Their odds weren't great, but they were still twice as good when they were together.

Rachel hung her head, she should have known, she should have trusted him. She looked up and smiled, still not sure he could tell. With a deep shakey breath, "I should have known, I'm sorry." She stood on tiptoe and kissed him hard. She pulled back quickly and strode ahead, "Let's do this."
The building approached rapidly and she stared at it. They had to break in there and somehow apprehend Darenx. The easiest thing would be to kill him but... she didn't want another death on her hands. Rachel bit her lip and turned to Michael, "Any ideas on how to play this?"
