Rachel flinched as she heard the man's cheerful reply to Michael's theivery. She herself grabbed a piece of meat and a couple of non-perishables for the road. She relaxed as no one noticed or even gave her a second glance. She finally smiled and went to Michael with enough food to feed them for a couple days. She grabbed a random bag from a stand and poured the food in it. "Are you ready to go?"

((Hey look a bird! Great line, made me laugh!))

((thanks lol))

Michael looked at Rachel's food supply approvingly, smiling as he bit into a huge piece of fresh fruit.  "Sure!" he nodded, fruit juice dribbling down his chin.  He was glad she didn't seem to be haorboring any guilt from stealing.  If what they set out to do was a success, no one would bear a grudge over a little stolen breakfast.

((A huge blizzard is coming into New England tonight and tomorow. A lot of power outages are expected, and I'm thinking that I'll proably be without power and unable to post for the next couple days. Sorry!))

Rachel nodded and let herself relax, for the moment no one seemed to care about them, no one was after them. She smiled happily at him and turned down the road out of town. She sundenly thought of a game she used to play with her siblings when they were little. She grinned michiviously at Michael and tapped him on the shoulder, "Tag!" And then she took off running down the street.

Michael finished off his fruit.  He followed Rachel to the outward-leading street, but staggered backwards at her sudden movement.  He stood completely still as she ran away, too surprised to move.  Tag?  What is this?  With a shrug, he ran after her, laughter rising unexpectedly from his throat.

Rachel laughed with glee and sprinted away from him. She glanced back, her hair flying in her face. He looked bewildered but she just kept running until she couldn't breath and had to stop. She stumbled to the edge of the road and leaned on her knees breathing heavily. She grinned at him triumphantly as he approached, "I won." She laughed shortly and then straightened smiling at him.

Michael slowed his pace, coming right up to Rachel and poking her in the side.  "I thought we were playing Tag.  Or was this just a race with an invisible vinish line?"  He pantomimed looking around for a finish line, and laughed at his own lame joke.  "What was that all about?"
