Illea's pirate instincts came back as she took hold of the rope ladder, but she tried to stay focused. She had to remember, her goal was getting to Hook, not getting Peter Pan. Hopefully an opportunity would come soon.
The deck was littered with pirates. Carver's hope for escaping grew even smaller as they surrounded him. He felt like Illea was on their side and not his.
"So where is Hook?' Illea asked the pirates on deck. Clearly, none of them were Hook, they all seemed like run-of-the day pirates. Only Hook and Smee were the really noticeable pirates in the book, anyhow.
"That's Captian Hook," the female pirate shot Illea a look, but turned her attention back to Carver. "Tie him to the Mast."
Carver was roughly dragged to the Mast and bound tightly with thick ropes to it. The struggled vainly to get away, but it was no use. He was stuck.
