Tholme would have shook her head in amusement had she not been worrying over what Miriam had just told her. She followed her friend into the training room, not suprised about the few number of people. There was only 10 or 12 left, including them, practicaly half of what there had been this morning.
((Whats the next test? Like trickery or persuassion right?))
((I thought it was like emotional endurence and ruthlessness?))
((Hmm...yeah I think so...you mind posting again? Like having Tholme start her test?))
Tholme was walking back towards the corner her and Miriam had claimed as their own when the training gaurd walked towrds her. "The judges would like a word with you miss, if you would please follow me" He had a look of disgust on his face as he spoke to her, and Tholme relized her and Miriam were the only girls left in the competition.
Thomle lifted her head and gave the man a sickeningly sweet smile. "Why of course, lead the way" The man looked suprised, but turned and walked quickly back across the room and out the double doors leading into the castle. Tholme shot Miriam a look before following the man out of the training room. She followed him through the twisted castle coridores, trying to keep straight how to get back the way they'd come. "Right through here" The man said, pulling open one of the double doors they'd come to. Tholme nodded her thanks with a fake smile and walked into the room, her gaurd high.
But apparently not high enough, a smashing blow came to her from behind, and knocked her out cold.
Miriam watched Tholme go and sat down, looking around. She wondered what the next challange was. Miriam starte dto pace,s he never could stand to wait, it made her jittery, nervous, on edge.
When Tholme came to her head was throbbing in time with her heart beat and he ribs were on fire. She quickly relized that she was tied to a chair and that she was not alone in the darkened room. "Well come on then, you wouldn't have bothered kidnapping me for nothing. What do you want?" Her eyes scanned the room looking for movement, her mind alert, despite the excuciating pain behind her eyes. She was more than sertain her head was sporting a nasty wound.
She saw a flicker of movement to her right and her eyes snapped across the room, staying slightly unfocused so she could see the hulking shape that was there. "telling you right from the begining wouldn't be any fun would it? I love to have fun" The voice was low pitched and horribly sweet. Tholme had to supress her shiver at the mans words.
((Wait....what is happening? Is soemone doing their ruthless test on Tholme?))
((I was kind of figuring that they were going to put all the test's together. Like a final pit everyone against each other and see the outcome. Because it's supposed to be a phycological and ruthlessness test so, I figured that would be a way to do it. Or it could be like a she was kidnapped and now has to escape while being injured kind of thing for the test. I was pretty much going to go with wichever way it leaned.))
((OK, cool, still a bit confused..))
Miriam watche dteh room slowly emptya nd then she was taken out. They were all taken to an under ground town sort of. It had different roosma dn stuff adn were let loose, unsure of what to do. Miriam immiedetly ducked into teh shadows, this was probably the last test, killing their competition. She ahd to find Tholme.
((What are you confused about? Do you have a different idea? :] ))
Tholme continued to stare at the hulking shape hiding in the darkness of the room. She worked her hand up, pulling at the ropes horribly, hoping her haadne't taken her knives. Luckily for her he'd missed the small blade her had hidden in the hem of her sleve. Keeping her eyes on the man she started to work it through the hole in her sleve. "So am I the only one who get's this special treatment?" Distract him just until she could get loose.
((Ha, no sorry, I was tired....))
Miriam thought she heard Tholme's voice and slipped into the room, squatting in the shadows. Tholme was hooked up to some weird rope stretching thing and there wa sone of the bigger guys there.
Miriam wasn't exactly sure what the guy was going to do, but it couldn't be good. She drew her knife and tensed her muscles up, ready to spring when she saw an oppurtunity.
Tholme kept working the small blade from her sleeve, finaly freeing it from the hem. She instantly started to saw through the ropes holding her wrists, careful to not show any of the movement in her arms. From where she was tied Tholme thought she saw a flicker of movement to the mans side, but she kept her eyes where they were. It ws either someone with him, or someone against her, she doubted it was anyone here to help her."Well come on then, I sure haven't got all night" She gae him cocky smirk, her fingers working quickly. Once wrist free she started on the other, glad she'd still had that little trick up her sleeve, literaly.
Miriam jumped forward when the man was distracted by Tholme. Quickly she wrapped ehr arms around teh man's neck and readying her knife slashed it across his throat. Droping to the ground and stepped aside as the man fell clutching his throat, trying to breath and scream, but failing becuase his entire windpipe was severed.
Miriam came froward and quickly cut Tholme out of the remaining ropes.
Tholme freed one wrist and started on the other when a soft grunt came from the darkness and she saw the form of the man crumble to the ground. She watched cautiously until she saw Miriam come out from the shadow and she let out a breathy laugh. "About time you showed up, I was wondering if I was going to have to skin this guy with this tiny razor" She stood rubbing her wrists to get some blood flowing back through her ve.ins. "I'm going to guess this is the last trial right? Putting us against eachother?" Tholme crossed the room to the man she assumend was dead now, patting him down to find any weapons he may have. There was a nasty curved dagger that had fallen to the ground when Miriam had attacked him and Tholme picked it up, not likeing the unfamilier weight in her hand.
Miriam rolled her eyes,
"Shut up," she siad in response to Tholme's whining, "Yeah I guess so..." she added to her friend's conjecture.
"I thnk we should lay low, let the others take each other out and then tale out the last standing..." she suggested.
Tholme nodded in agreement, finishing a quick search around the room trying to find her precious blades, unhappy when she found nothing. "Did you see anyone when you were coming in here? Or do you think it's safe to hide out in here until someone comes to us?" She touched the back of her head lightly, wincing when she felt something wet, most likely blood from where she'd been hit. She pulled her sleeve down over her hand, patting at it lightly.
