Gloria was happy and content just sitting next to Jake...for about half a minute. "Ummm...how long is this gonna take, Jake?"
"We are almost there." Jake told Gloria still hugging her.
"Oh, good!" Gloria replied, settling back down in Jake's embrace, She twisted a piece of her hair around her finger and hummed contentedly.
"Okay here." The cab driver said.
Jake got out and helped Gloria out of the cab. He then paid and tipped the drive and the driver. Jake took his stuff and Gloria's stuff out of the cab and then the drive drove off. Jake smiled at Gloria. "Now we need to go buy the tickets." He said.
Gloria nodded at Jake, glad he knew what he was doing. "Hey," she said, half to herself, "where are we right now?"
"We're at the docks. We're going to take a cruise ship to the Bahamas." Jake told Gloria smiling.
"A cruise ship?" Gloria said slowly, not believing what she was saying. "Wow! That's so romantic-y and cool! I've never been on a cruise ship before! Have you?.."
"No this will be my first time as well." Jake said. Jake then lead Gloria over to the counter to buy the tickets. "Two tickets to the Bahamas please." Jake asked. He then took the tickets and handed the money over. He then smiled at Gloria and lead her onto the boat. He held her hand as the walked onto the ship.
"Woah!" Gloria said admiringly, gazing at the cuise ship. "It's so big....how can it possibly float? Why doesn't it sink?"
"It's some scientific thing called boyancy." Jake told Gloria smiling. He then lead Gloria to the room they would be staying at. "This is a huge ship so please be careful." Jake told Gloria.
Gloria didn't like big words, so she didn't ask what buoyancy was. "Ok, Gloria will be careful!" Her tummy rumbled a little bit...she hadn't had anything to eat since that caramel corn. "Is there anything to eat on this ship, Jake?"
Jake smiled. He grabbed his wallet and put it in his back pocket. He then grabbed Gloria's hand and took her to the cafe.
Gloria was surprised to see the cafe on the ship. 'Wow...this ship has a cafe on it? It's like a houseboat, but with fooood!" She started pulling on Jake's shirt excitedly.
Jake smiled. He then walked over to a table and pulled out the chair for Gloria to sit in.
Gloria sat down in the chair. "What kind of food do they have here? Fish? Seaweed?"
"Steak, sea food, desserts. Stuff like that." Jake said and handed Gloria a menu.
"But..but..." Gloria stammered, "How can they catch desserts out here at sea? Are they fish desserts?"
Jake laughed. "They stocked it on the ship before they left." Jake told Gloria.
"Oh," Gloria answered, a little dissapointed. "So this isn't a fishing ship? It's just, like....a floating hotel?'
"With a pool, and a arcade and stuff." Jake told Gloria.
