I was wondering if perhaps you'd be interested in a 1x1 with me? I have an understanding out natural tastes aren't really matching, but I'm sort of wanting for something different so what better a person to go to?
((Sure, I still don't do any romance, everything else is fair game though.))
Well I had this idea for a medieval fantasy 1x1 and I thought of you, if I'm honest, because I thought it might do justice not to have romance for it. If you'll hear me out, I can explain the general idea. If you decide not to do it, I'll probably post it an see if anyone else wants to do it with me.
((What's the idea?))
It's called Dragon's Blood.
A woman within an assassin's guild is assigned a very special and perhaps unusual job by her guild. There is a man she must bring to a specific location on a specific date, and she isn't told much about the job itself, except that the man is known as the man with dragon's blood in his veins. That's the general idea. What do you think?
((Hmm, sure. What age range do you want? And can I play the girl? (Also for no romance I mean no kissing and such, they can be like "Oh he looks nice" and maybe hold hands, but that's it...that's as far as I go....No roamnce is the best though...maybe they hate each other or think of each other as sister-brother or whatever...?))
(I was originally seeing it as best with me as the guy and you the girl so that works out great. You can have whatever age you want, but if it's alright with you, I'd like to be very bare with my character's description and allow that information to be revealed as we go along. I think it might be best to let the relationship between them become whatever feels right according to the characters themselves. And on top of that, how she plans to get him to that location is completely up to you. She could be trying to seduce him or befriend him, or even force him.)
((OK, cool...does like 16 or 17 work for you in age range? (I usually like to describe my character up front in the skellie, it's easier for me to see teh character and play him or her...plus I don't forget and contrdict myself later...hehe. :-D)
I might not get my skellie up until some time tomorrow late morning...hope that's OK with you.))
(That all sounds perfectly fine. I'll have my character up by the end of tomorrow, but hopefully sooner.)
((Oh yeah one more thing...is it OK if I don't put in personality to my skellie? I like to build that as the roleplay plays out.))
(I'm totally fine with that. I prefer to build personality as I go along too.)
Name: Shiloh Zee
Looks: Shiloh is petite to say the least. She barely stands at 4'11". She is built well with a very nice figure. She's curvy but not...voluptuous. She has a beautiful body, her curves are small but very firm and womanly. She is fit and her legs are well muscled, her arms also have muscle but she's far from overly buff. Shiloh is very light, making her quick on her feet and fast, she can pack a punch, but because of her size can be overpowered if the person knows what they're doing(For example wrestling type maneuvers aren't her strong suit because of her size and weight.)
She hair is a very dark brown, almost black and goes to three inches below her shoulders. It's almost always pulled back into a French braid. Her hair is silky smooth and in the right light has highlights of lighter browns and even hints of auburn in it.
Shiloh's face is interesting, it looks lopsided because the right side droops. Her right eye always seems to be half closed and the muscles in the right side of her face are totally lax, making the right side of her mouth droop to. Her smiles are always awkward because of this, which is one of the reasons she rarely smiles.
Her eyes are a very dark hazel color with flecks of forest green in them and flecks of silver. They are shapes like slightly wide almonds and are framed by pretty yet short brown eye lashes. She has normal dark brown eye brows above her eyes. her other facial features are normal, small nose and average ears. She has a smooth face with very feimiene lines, slightly high cheek bones.
Shiloh's skin is a light golden brown. She has scars on her chest, arms, and thighs she hides under her clothes. She usually wears all black, black soft leather boots that go half way up her shin, long black trousers that go to her ankle, though sometimes she will wear short trousers that go to her knees. She wears a black tunic that is usually pulled close and tied with a thin gray string at the beginning of her clavicle. Around eh waist of her tunic is a black leather belt with a sheath for a dagger, she also keeps an extra dagger in her boot, just in case. Her tunic is always long sleeved.
Bio: Shiloh keeps a lot of her past a secret. She refuses to talk about and does her best to forget.
Shiloh was born in a dirty port, her father was a sailor making a one night stand before his merchant ship left and her mother a young immature girl not ready to take care of a child. Shiloh's mother raised her until she was 3, her raising included living on the streets and nearly dying of rats and starvation.
On her third birthday a man in dark clothes with a rich foreign accent offered to pay Shiloh's mother a large sum of money her. Shiloh's mother agreed signing her daughter over to the man who turned out to be a slaver. When she was 6 Shiloh mysteriously had a stroke, she mostly recovered except for an odd speech pattern and her droopy face, plus slight difficulty with heer rights ide, she's a lefty.
Shiloh than lived an extremely rough, fast, and bad life as a slave at a port, sometimes being transports to other slums to do her 'work' in. This is where she got her scars, or most of them.
Damaged and angry Shiloh managed to get away when she was almost 15, she was on the run for a while until she found the assassins guild. Shiloh decided this was the only way to stop running from her life and joined. As soon as she passed initiation Shiloh went back and took out her old slave master and some of his goonies she particularly hated. She has now been assigned to escort this man to a certain place. She isn't thrilled and doesn't like to work with men, but knows how in her own way.
Name: Nathaniel Braker
Appearance: Nathan is a bit tall, standing at 6'2, with a strong and intimidating build to him. He has broad shoulders and strong arms, with muscles covering his body that are witness to hard work and great strength. He's definitely a heavy man. It doesn't help that his bones are denser than that of most, or that his blood is thicker.
He has jet black hair that's just long enough to be a bother, getting in his eyes and tickling his nose and such. His eyes are like fire, orange with red and bright bits in them, and they can be his downfall anytime he tries to hid his emotions. His eyes would give away anything. It's found unsettling to most when he gets a certain intensity about him, usually from anger, but he can get it in other cases as well.
His skin is darkened by the sun, with scars covering his body, some older than others. He can appear to be almost any age, from a young man at the end of his teens, to an older man just on the verge of going gray. Truly, his age shows through the way he holds himself. And his real age tends to show most when he's tired and worn. For Nathaniel is quite old, only he's the equivalent of very young because of his blood.
One of the most surprising features to people is the scales, which are sometimes there and sometimes not. Showing across his cheek bones, along his neck, and other parts of his body. They're black with his hair, but when enough show, orange ones come up as well. This is the proof of his dragon's blood.
(The rest will be revealed as we go along.)
((So what's Nathaniel acual age? I'll post in like 30 mins or so...maybe more mayb elesss.))
Shiloh walked softly towards the tavern in town. She needed to find the location of her next target. The tavern was the most socailable place in this place, most people were there and if they weren't then the innkeeper or someone else there usaully knew where to find siad person.
The pushed the door open and stepped into a loud bar lit by a large fire. It was very hot in the tavern, all the crowded epople drinking, partyying, eating. The tavern was also the inn so strangers would be here too Shiloh looked around to see if her man was here, she wasn't exactly sure what he looked like, she had a basic description and was told 'you'll know him when you see him'.
(I haven't quite decided on that which is why I've left it out of his description. I figured I'd be able to determine actual age better once I've played him a bit and let his personality develop.)
Nathan sipped slowly on his drink, his eyes going over the room. The heat didn't seem to bother him, nor did the noise. He sat in the darkest corner of the tavern, but the way the fire caught his eyes made them seem to glow. When he'd first walked in, he'd gotten all sorts of looks for his eyes and the few black scales showing on his cheeks, but now the only person that seemed to notice or remember him was the innkeeper.
He wore a dark cloak with the hood up over his head, and dark clothes underneath. A sword in its sheath was leaning against the chair next to him, and he was totally alone. Even the tables near him were empty, despite how packed the tavern was.
He spotted Shiloh the moment she walked in and got a sort of bad feeling off of her. He watched her carefully, still sipping on his drink now and then.
Shiloh walked to the bar and got a drink, she was young but wouldn't be refused because she could act older than she was. Shiloh took ehr drink and looked around, she noticed some glowing in the corner and started to think. How should she get the guy to come with her? She couldn't use force, the guy had been described as rather big. She sat at a table near the fireplace to figure it out. A drunk patron from the bar came up and sat next to her,
"Hulllo?' he drawled. His breath stank. He was swaying even when he sat down. Shiloh tried to shift away but the drunk put his arm around her,
"Giiirl why don' you n me go an ren' a room? he suggested.
Nathan rolled his eyes at the typical drunk. He finished his drink and slapped it down on the table loudly. Loud enough a few stopped to look at him. He went and paid the innkeeper, giving a nod of his head to a random gentleman and leaving the place rather quickly. He didn't need to get involved, and that was what feuled him to get away.
Whenever Nathan got involved in something, even if it seemed small, it'd grow into something huge and nearly get him killed. And without fail someone got hurt, or killed. He had learned it's best to get out of there and have nothing to do with it whatsoever.
Not to say he particularly liked the idea of leaving a young woman at the mercy of a tavern full of drunks. He simply could not allow himself to get involved. She was the one who walked into it in the first place. It'd be her fault if anything happened to her.
Shiloh noticed her target leaving. She pushed at the drunk's arms, but he held tight, his otehr hand satrted to wander. Shiloh gritted her teeth and used her free hand to grope for her knife, she finally got it and pulled it out, slamming the hilt into th edrunk's groin. He screamed and Shiloh jumped up and climbing over teh table ran, she tossed moeny to the innkeeper as she left and darted outside.
Shiloh allowed hr eyes to adjust to the darkness and looked around for her target. She re-sheathed her knife and started to walk down the street looking for him, she still handt thought about how to get him to coem with her, she was a total stranger after all.
Nathan pulled his hood down to let the cool night air hit his face better. He sighed, glancing over his shoulder to see if anyone followed. He tensed when he glimpsed the girl. That wasn't good. Why would a girl be following him? Were there stories going around again about him?
He shook his head, slipping into an alley and cutting through towards the stables. He slipped inside and got his horse, as black as night, taking it out. Nathan got on its back, still keeping an eye out for followers, and rode towards the edge of town.
