Hona relaxed slightly, but her hand still rested on her sword. Her sharp blue eyes drank in the place.
Travis blinked at the sudden flood of customers into the bar. Well, so much for a bit of quiet. He turned subtly in his seat, as if he was just adjusting his position to something more comfortable, giving him a better view of the pub.
Most of the patrons looked fairly harmless, though there was one girl standing apart, doing nothing but looking suspicious. She carried a sword and looked like it wouldn't take much for her to break it out and start chopping. He sighed. While he was ready and able to fight if need be, he didn't go blatantly looking for trouble, and he felt it was pointless to do so.
He sipped at his drink, half-listening to the conversations around him and watching the girl with the sword out of the corner of his eye.
Hona's hand slipped from her sword once she was sure the attention was away from her. Letting out a sigh, she leaned against the wall next to her still sitting. It was nice to be out of the attention, lattly all she seemed to be doing was making a scene. Hona looked around the pub making sure she knew where everyone was.
Grace looked over as yet another girl entered the bar. "What happened here?!" she half shrieked, then swivled her head to the small group and sighed. "Hello, Grace." she said flatly, "I assume this is your doing?" Grace donned a monkey-like grin and nodded. "Don't make me call your sister." the girl said flatly. Grace's eyes widened. "Aw, come on, Belle! It's not as bad as when I brought my gypsy cousins here, right?" Belle rolled her eyes and stepped behing the bar. "You break anything, you fix it." She grabbed the small chalk board that hung behind the bar and wrote the day's specials on it, grumbling.
Gloria gasped with excitement. "You like Gloria?" She aggresively wrapped her arms around Jake in a ferocious hug, then yanked him toward the quiet guy sitting at the bar, who seemed to be staring at something. "Hi quiet guy!" Gloria half-shouted. "This is muy bestest friend Jake!"
Grace watched the super excitable girl, eyebrows raised. She thought of one of her editors henchmen, a twenty-something girl named Rin, and remembered the time she got her hammered and sang kareoke with her. She grinned and hummed.
Hona watched the girl who seemed to have so much energy it was leaking out. When she spoke to the "quiet guy" Hona looked at him and caught his eyes. Her eyebrows shot up.
Jake smiled at Gloria. He then looked at the other guy that she has brought him to. "Hey." He said.
"QUIET GUUUUY!" Gloria yelled, lightly pushing Travis's shoulder. "Be niiiiiiice...."
Jake smiled. "I guess he doesn't want to talk to us." He told Gloria and began to walk off. He put his hand in his pocket and felt the lighter and cigarettes. He looked back at Gloria. "Maybe I should quit." He said noticing what he has found. What was this feeling. He walked outside. Once outside he stuffed the lighter and cigarettes inside his car and then walked back inside and over to Gloria.
Gloria started to get nervous when Jake left, nearly breaking out in a sweat and hypervebtilating. Was the room spinning?....
But then Jake came back inside, and Gloria rammed into him headfirst. "Where did you gooo? I missed you..."
"I was getting rid of the cigarettes and lighter. I don't need them tonight." He said with a smile. "I'm sorry for scaring you." He said.
Gloria burried her head in Jake's chest, humming a little like a cat's purr. " 'ts ok." She looked up at him adoringly. "What do you do?"
Jake blush. "What do I do?" He asked. "Hmmm.... Well, I'm planning on the military." He said. He then looked at her with a smile. "You have beautiful eyes." He said.
Hona looked over at the two that were making a scene in the pub. Really? Hona didn't say anything, but observed the two quietly.
Gloria's mouth melted into a small "o". "You're gonna shoot guys? The bad guys, right?"
Ray nodded. "Yeah. Ocassionaly. Just because I am going in the military doesn't mean I need to shoot some one." He said.
Gloria was confused, and stuck her thumb in her mouth like a child to help her think. "So...what else do you do? Stab people?"
"No." Jake said smiling. "Whats wrong?" He asked. "Me planning on joining the military a bad thing?" Jake asked. He had a confused and scared expression. He just met this girl, he doesn't want to lose her or her hate him.
"No, it's fine," Gloria said calmly, "I don't care if you are or not. Just wondering." She reached up to pat him on the head. "I still like you, stupid."
