"That's wonderful!" Risa said around a mouth full of food. When she finished eating she sat down onto the bed and looked up to the ceiling. It was so plain and yet so horrifying she knew it would make her eyes see many different creepy things in the dark. "I know what I'm going to paint first."
Night chuckled softly. "I'll make sure you have a ladder." He told her, watching her gaze.
"I think if I just stood on the bed...." slowly she stood and as she reached for the cieling she lost her balance and fell off the bed.
Night barely managed to catch her, breathing a sigh of releif at his mixture of luck and reflexes. "Do please be more careful, princess."
"I meant to do that." she said blushing slightly and wrapping her arms around Night's neck. SHe could feel how close her head was to the floor.
He carefully sat her on the bed and sighed. "Yeah, sure. You meant to break your neck." He muttered, shaking his head.
Risa didn't losen her grip from his neck keeping her face close to his. "I meant for you to catch me."
Night turned red, even the part she could see. "I...uh...please let go..."
"Why do you hide behind this mask? What are you afraid of? I don't know who you really are. Why would they force a description out of me?" Risa questioned as she slowly moved one hand to the bottom of his mask.
He caught her hand and shook his head. "Please just leave me in peace, Risa. That is all I ask of you. If I want to show my face to you, I can. But allow me in my own time." Night told her.
In all the events that she had witnessed with him, only now did she realize how much she felt like Christine from The Phantom of the Opera. Night was her Phantom. Covering his face with a mask, and she was the curious Christine, wishing to see his face. "Awe look, now you are holding my hand... I'll wait for you to get comfortable, but do not take too long, you seem to know me pretty well so you should know I hate waiting and suspense." she said twiting her hand so she could link her fingers with his and lean her head into his chest.
Night was completely tense by then, his breath heavy and a little ragged. He was completely red, and his eyes were wide.
(No fair, I haven't seen it yet and I've been meaning to -.-)
(I didn't give away anything! lol I could have gone one to quote it, but i didnt)
"Night, why are you blushing?"
Night shake his head, swallowing. "Please let go."
Risa quickly leaned away from him with tears in her eyes. "You don't like me do you..." She quickly let his hand go and walked out of the shack. She notice a rocking chair on the porch of the shack and sat down, letting her tears spill onto her face. How could she be so stupid and let herself hang all over him like that?
Night started stuttering. He finally shut up and sighed, walking out and kneeling in front of her. He took her hands in his. "Princess, I have had feelings for you since shortly after I came to be near you. I simply...I cannot..." He looked down. "Please just allow me some time..."
Risa continued to cry. She tried to keep her eyes closed so she could calm down but her tears continued to spill though. "Why did you let me throw myself at you? Why didn't you do something? You could have stopped me..." She began to sob and placed her hands over her face.
"I..." Night whimpered. "You just make me so...helpless..." He said weakly. "I don't know what to do or say. I feel like I'm just making a fool of myself."
In one swift motion Risa lifted his mask just about his lips and kissed him... She hadnt meant to... As she pulled away from him, she gasped, wide eyed.. "I.... I'm so sorry... I didn't... mean to..." She ran back inside, slamming the door behind her...
Night whimpered. He pulled his mask down, showing his face. He pulled his hood away, letting his hair show as well. He knocked on the door. "Risa...don't...I mean..." He sighed. "Please...I'll show you."
