((Risa* sorry I'm on my phone now...))
"Listen, this is a heck of a lot better than where I usually sleep, which is in stables, because that's free. Don't worry about me. I'm used to it, and I'm thankful to be in a place that does not smell of horse droppings." Night told her.
"Ok... I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to anger you..." She said as she laid down and pulled the blanket onto her.
Night sighed. "I'm not angry, I'm just a little impatient. I'm sorry princess. I shall try harder to remain respectful."
Risa nodded to him and curled up into the blanket. She was warm, and felt taken care of. After a day with so many events, Risa quickly fell asleep.
He watched her as she slept, relaxing a little. At least now, Risa was safe, and at least a little bit happy.
In Risa's dream world, she was in a small room surrounded by her servants. They were pinning her hair and putting makeup on her. Next thing she knows they are throwing a white dress over her head and a veil into her hair. Then she is being drug down the isle by her father to the man she fears most. the man she was betrothed to. Before she knows it, he is carrying her out of the palace to a carriage marked 'just married'. After the short ride they arrive at a beach side cabin. once inside though things turn for the worst and the man begins to beat her.
Night noticed she seemed to become distressed. He walked over, shaking her gently. "Risa?" He asked softly. "Risa, it's only a dream. Wake up."
With a final blow to the stomach Risa sat up gasping for air.
He whimpered, pulling his hand away. "Risa, are you alright?" He asked softly.
"It was just a nightmare. I'll be ok..." Risa said wishing she could be honest with him and have him hold her till she fell asleep.
Night nodded. "Do you need anything?" He asked softly, willing to do anything for her. He wanted her to feel safe.
"W- will you h-hold me?" Risa asked stuttering nervously.
He was silent a moment, uncertain. But after considering it, Night nodded, pulling her into his arms. "If that is what you wish for."
Risa snuggled into Night's strong arms. She felt safe there. She yawned again and with her head on Night's chest, she drifted off to sleep.
Night laid down on the bed, still holding her. He feared that if he removed himself from her, she would wake.
When Risa awakened the next morning she was still cuddled into Night's chest. She lay there for a long time, taking in the safety that she hasn't felt in so long.
Night was fast asleep, his face buried in her hair, and snoring faintly. His mask was pushed down a bit, uncovering his nose.
Risa noticed Night's mask and thought he may breath better with it off. She knew he'd probably rage at her for it, but she began to remove his mask anyway. The curiosity in her brain was driving her insane.
His eyes shot open and Night jerked away, pulling the mask back into place. He stood, staring at her with wide eyes. "What are you doing?!"
