"Alright. I'll check next time we go down. You got the bottom bunk?" Krissy said picking up a pillow off the luggage carrier.
After carefully laying out her things and neatly putting them away, Suki carefully sat on the bottom bunk, feeling alone.
"Yeah, and there are privacy curtainson both bunks." replied Stella. She hopped into her and showed Krissy how to use it. "I got this thing tangled so bad when I tried to close it the first time. You gotta yank it at first, but it gets easier to use over time."
(Geez, this medicine is messing with my grammar today...)
"Alright. I'll remember that. Thanks." Krissy looked around the room and noticed there were two closets. "Which one is yours?" She asked pointing at one.
"Mine is the one closest to the window." Stella retorted, "You might wanna look at yours; my last roommate left kinda fast."
"Whatcha me-..." Krissy stopped as soon as she opened the doors. There was really preppy clothes and some really girly makeup and other things thrown around inside the closet. "Whoa... How did you servive with someone like this?" Krissy said turning to face Stella.
"Well...we didn't exactly get along..." Stella mumbled. "We kinda got into a...fistfight." Now that I think about it, some of her hair might still be scattered around the room. "Now and then I use her clothes as coverage when I paint. There might be some pastels on the dresses."
"That's awesome. I can tell you and I are gonna be great friends! How 'bout this. Why dont we box up her stuff and put it in my guard room when its finished? That way it isn't taking up space in here and you can still use it when you need it, and this makeup may come in handy for certain performances." Krissy said looking through some of the girls belongings.
Suki quietly folded and refolded her clothing in lonely silence. She felt alone, but she didn't know how to go talk to people. Her roommate hadn't arrived yet, so even if she could get over her shyness, there was no one to talk to.
"Fine with me. I'm shocked they actually sent me a roommate that I don't immediately feel like punching in the face. I always get the bleach blonde cliche mean girls, and they always turn out like my last one." said Stella, "You're my first roommate who doesn't apply to that lame group. Unfortunately, most of them are still here, so I get into fights a lot. I bet most of the staff have dubbed me 'scrappy'."
"I could always 'accidentally' toss rainbows and let my equipment hit them..." Krissy said picking up her saber and tossing a quick single. The blade snapped into her hand with a great force, almost splitting skin.
"Well, I can't casually stab her with a pencil, but I did 'accidentally' get ink on some of her designer clothes." Stella replied, grinning.
"Nice one!" Krissy said holding up her fist.
"Alright, we can go down and see." said Stella, "They're usually on top of things like that, but now and then they slip up. I think it depends who gets tasked with what." She stood and stretched. "Y'know, if you want to. I just get restless the day that school gets really started."
Suki got up quietly to go to the front desk. She might as well go find out where the music room was. She got the feeling that she would end up spending a lot of time alone, so knowing that there was a room for rehearsing music would be a comfort. She always felt a little less alone with her music.
"Alright. Should I bring my equipment?" Krissing asked pasuing as they walked out the door.
"Might as well. You need any help?" replied Stella, reopening the door.
"Uhh, yea. Grab that box over there by the bed. It may be a little heavy so be careful." Krissy said holding the door open for Stella.
Stella bent down and picked up the box. She momentarily lost her balance, but was able to keep herself from falling. She carefully inched ou the door and stood in the hall.
