Aiko cringed a little and crossed her arms over her chest in a nervous gesture. "Right. Well...I scare people away."
'Same here. People think I'm dirty just because my clothes are worn out. They reject me as soon as they set eyes on me,' Jack looks up, and smiles. 'But I don't judge. You just needed a little help. And I don't get scared easily.' He flipped back to the cherry blosom drawing and carefully tore it out and fixed his signature.
'Here, take it,' he held it out to Aiko.
Aiko blinked at the drawing, then up at him. "Are you sure it's alright if I take this?" She asked quietly.
'Go ahead. I can always copy it later,' he smiled, a glimmer of hope appearing in his bright blue eyes.
Aiko blinked at the drawing. "Thank you so much." She whispered. "It's very beautiful."
'My pleasure. And thanks, again. I'm glad someone appreciates. it.'
Aiko smiled at him. "I appreciate you giving this to me. I've never been a very talented artist myself."
'There must be something you're good at, Aiko. We all have God-given talents,' Jack flipped throught the notebook again. 'Some have skill with a pencil. Some have skill with words.'
Aiko bit her lip for a second, then reached for her bag. "Um..."
'Oh? Looks like Show and Tell has officially commenced,' jack murmured with a smile. He flipped back to the wolf as he waited.
Aiko's face was a bright red as she shakily pulled out her notebook. She nervously flipped through the pages of small, neat handwriting until she found what she was looking for.
Cold winter morning
The howling wind dances past
Calling out to me
Jack glanced over at the flowing words. 'Impressive. Are you taking a Poetry class? Because, I think you could get reccommendations from the teachers.'
Aiko shook her head, silently blushing pink.
'I like it,' Jack smiled and reread the poem. 'Are there more?'
Aiko nodded, biting her lip as she cautiously turned the page. Poem after poem, neatly lined up. Flowing gently.
Jack patiently read through each, his wonder growing with each new piece. 'You've got talent, as well.'
Aiko blinked. "You...you really think so?" For once, she was stumbling a little for words.
Jack smiled reassurringly. 'Yes, I do.'
Aiko was at a loss for words as she took her notebook back, hugging it to her chest.
Jack smiled. 'You really aren't comfortable with people, are you?'
