Daevion came back about five mintues later with another jar, filled with blue mist. He stepped around Vienna on the floor and pressed a section of wall which pushed in revealing a hole the perfect size for a jar. He dropped it down the hole and the wall pushed back over it. He turned to look at Vienna for her reaction.
Vienna continued polishing, but looked up to see what Daevion was doing. She watched as a hole appeared in the wall, the perfect size for a jar. Daevion held a jar in his hand filled with blue mist, just like the one that had held her boyfriend's soul. Just like that, he dropped the jar through the hole in the wall, and the wall immediately filled back in. Her eyes were widened in shock. "What did you just do?!" she shrieked, standing up suddenly.
Daevion looked at her stand up then glanced at the floor. She must have not relised that she had finished. Daevion just snorted, "What am I doing?" he said in a high pitched mocking tone. "Why stupid, I'm doing my job. No worries, your boyfriend is still here." He pulled out a jar with faint blue mist. "Wow he's weak." Daevion mumbled and shook the jar, trying to get his spirt angered.
Vienna was now boiling with anger and irritation. "You have a lot of nerve." she growled through gritted teeth. She watched as he shook the jar that contained her boyfriend's soul. The soul swirled faster in the jar, as if it was angered by Daevion shaking it. Without thinking, she lunged toward him, reaching for the jar. Even if she managed to get the jar, it's not as if she would be able to do anything with it.
Daevion stood stunned for a moment, then in one sift move pulled the jar back and grabbed her shoulder, pulling her face right next to his. His eyes were still stunned then turned into respect, not anger. He let her go and took a step back, putting the jar back in his jaket. "I have a lot of nerve? If I do then you have ten times as much!" His voice was laughing for the first time in her presence, a real laugh that accualy sounded nice.
Vienna was taken aback at Daevion's laughter. It sounded real, and genuine, nothing like she had ever heard from him before. She couldn't help but laugh along with him. "Well, I can't disagree with that." she murmured, smiling. "So where did you go when that alarm went off?" Vienna asked Daevion timidly.
Daevion sundenly turned very serious, and a spark of anger flashed his eyes. "You shouldn't ask about things that don't concern you." He slapped her lightly, not enough to sting, but to push her back a bit. "Next time you ask, you'll get much worse."
Vienna gasped, taken aback at Daevion's sudden harsh actions. As she was pushed back slightly, tears welled in her eyes. These were not tears of pain, but pure sadness. "Listen. I may be your servant girl, but I didn't do anything wrong. If you don't like me, then why did you want me to serve you for five years?" Vienna challenged.
Daevion relised that this was proably the "next time" he had warned her about, but her eye's (not her words) had left him deflated. "Because I like to see pain." Daevion tryed to snap the words, but they just sounded like he was exhausted. It's because you aren't normal, it's because you... shut up head! Daevion stumbled back like he was the one who had been slapped, and sank onto the bed, head in his hands. She reminding him of everything he was.
Vienna watched as Daevion stumbled back as if he himself had been slapped. He now sat on his bed with his head in his hands. Instead of attempting to comfort him, she got down on her hands and knees and continued to polish the floor. Every now and then she would look up at Daevion for a few moments, then would continue to polish the floor. Her feelings of previous resentment and anger were now lessened. Instead, she was beginning to feel how she felt when she had first met her boyfriend.
Weak... pathetic... you can't even call yourself one.... what's wrong with you? Daevion shuddering unable to stop the flow of thoughts. He jerk up right knocking over her bucket of water, dreanching Vienna. "Oh, uh sorry, um you need clothes." He looked around at the floor which was sparkling, then at Vienna who had still been polishing. "You're done, why are you still poishing?"
Vienna jolted back as the bucket of water drenched her clothes. She looked down at the floor, realizing there wasn't a dirty spot left. "Oh, I hadn't realized I was done." she mumbled, standing up beside Daevion. "And yeah, a change of clothes would be nice. I'm getting a bit cold." Vienna whispered, feeling goosebumps on her arms. She wiped up the spilled water and waited to receive her change of clothes.
Daevion jolted back, not touching her and went out of the room. He got clothes from a maid and came back. Daevion gave them to her not meeting her eyes and making sure their hands didn't touch. He turned his back on her and said, "Change." He comanded, not looking at her.
Vienna muttered a barely distinguishable thank you, and rolled her eyes. She waited until Daevion turned around before changing. Shedding her wet clothes, she left them in a messy pile on the floor. She picked up her new clothes, and let out a small sigh. In her hand she held cotton black dress that reached her knees, and had white frills on the collar and waist. The dress covered her shoulders and a third of her arm. Once she was done changing, she looked to Daevion. "I'm done." she muttered.
Daevion didn't look at her still, afraid he would do something rash, kill her or kiss her he wasn't sure. Curtly he went to the door and locked it with Vienna still in the room. He tucked the key under his coller and went the bed, laying down on it, back to the rest of the room. The bed was huge, two queen size beds put together, with a black comforter. "You may sleep on the floor." Daevion didn't want her in the room, not at all, but she couldn't be safe at night anywhere in the castle without him.
Vienna watched Daevion, though he still didn't turn around for a few more moments. Sighing, she didn't say anything, afraid of what would come out of her mouth. As he got up and locked the bedroom door, Vienna watched him carefully. She glared at him when he ordered her to sleep on the floor. "No problem. Not like to have a huge bed or anything." she grumbled, moving to the far corner of the room. She laid down, resting her head on her hands in attempt to form a make-shift pillow.
Daevion didn't turn around, he just listened to Vienna. Devils didn't need sleep, although they could sleep if they wanted. Daevion sighed, then pretended to be asleep, trying to figure out if she was still awake.
((I have plans... can we skip to the middle of the night?))
(( hehe sure I'm excited to see your plans!))
Vienna eventually fell asleep, though she would wake up often either because she was cold or uncomfortable. She shifted positions, but nothing ever felt right. She missed sleeping in the arms of her boyfriend, who's soul she was now working to get back. At this rate, she was beginning to wonder if it would be worth it in the end.
Daevion had been drifting in and out of sleep, haveing dreams about rock hard floors, and cold stone. Eventualy he sighed threw back the covers. Daevion stood up and carefully went to Vienna, and he picked her up gentaly. Daevion went back to the bed and lay her down on the bed, covering her with the covers. He went to the other side of the bed, and lay on the very edge, above the comforter, and imetatly fell asleep.
((thats the extent of my plans... a little acward?))
((Haha yes, quite awkward! But rather cute :) ))
Vienna woke up at Daevion's touch. She had been in a nice sleep, well, as nice as sleeping on a cold floor can be that is, until Daevion picked her up. She wasn't fully awake yet, or else she would have protested. But then, she realized what he was doing. He set her on the bed and covered her in his sheets and comforter. She decided not to say anything, smiling to herself as she felt him shift the far edge of the bed. As she fell asleep she thought to herself, well maybe this guy isn't so bad after all.
