Daevion was nervous though his body stayed completly still. You don't need another maid. Why'd you do this? The gaurdians are getting more and more, faster and faster, you need to get more souls. And yet you just give one to her? God how stupid are you? Daevion hadn't moved an inch, didn't look at Vienna or anything else.
Vienna sighed again, a bit louder this time for Daevion to hear. She watched him closesly, but he didn't even glance in her direction. Looking down she kicked her feet back and forth and began humming. She hummed to the beat of the song Nathan played every time they were in the car together.
An alarm started to blare through the room and Daevion didn't even move. With a groan he sat up and looked at the door, glaring. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" The alarm kept blaring and Daevion looked at Vienna, "Go to the kitchens they'll tell you what to do. It's down this hall, take a left and then a right. You'll be able to smell it." He stood up and left the room, the alarm moved with him, now it was in the hallway and fading from Vienna's hearing.
Vienna was startled by the sudden blaring of an alarm. Daevion ordered her to go the the kitchens. She so desperately wanted to follow him to see where he was headed, but she couldn't disobey orders due to the curse. Sighing, she followed Daevion's directions to the kitchen almost without thinking. As he disappeared down a hallway, the sound of the alarm faded with him. Soon Vienna was in the kitchen, where various maids seemed to be taking orders from a large demon angel who stood at the head of the kitchen. Vienna approached him slowly. Without introduction, she was ordered to help with dinner preparation. The maids would be serving dinner to each demon angel in the castle.
Daevion walked down the hallways, head held high. The hallways slowly changed from stone to hardpacked dirt in utter darkness. He saw better in the darkness anyway, but it still creeped him out. He walked up to a door that glowed around the edges. Daevion pushed it open and had to sheild his eyes from the light, he could do nothing about the skin-melting heat. Slowly his eyes adjusted and he went into the red hot room, up to the massive chair and kissed the feet in it.
"Rise. What did you do?" Daevion gulped, the voice was pure choas, evil, and utter desctrution. He loved it, but feared it repectively. He was asking about the magic he used.
"A girl. I was taking her boyfriend, and she could see me. I put a curse on her for five years in exchange for her boyfriends soul." A hissing sound filled the room but Daevion resisted putting his hands over his ears.
"Why didn't you take her soul?" The sound was a hiss.
"I-I d-didn't t-" An emenase pain filled Daevion's chest and he screamed.
As Vienna was cooking, she swore she heard a faint scream. She figured it was probably just her imagination, so she continued cooking. The dish they were making didn't appear very appetizing. It smelled awful, she couldn't even tell what it was. She was in charge of making the soup, so she figured chicken noodle would satisfy their tastebuds.
((Do you want chicken noodle soup to be better, or what their making?))
Daevion walked his way back, trying to ignor his newfound pain. It wasn't the easiest thing to do. He, the devil, hadn't made Daevion take her soul or anything, just punished him. Daevion got back to his room and colapsed onto a chair. That was how he stayed until someone came to bring him his diner.
(( What they're making can be better. Perhaps demon angels have different taste buds so they don't like food humans do :) ))
Since Vienna was under Daevon's control, she was assigned to bring the soup she had made to him herself. She spooned it into a bowl. and placed a spoon in it for Daevion to use. With a slight sigh, she exited the kitchen and managed to find her way back to Daevion's room. She knocked softly on the door as she entered the room. "Here you are, master." she murmured as she placed the soup she had made in front of Daevion.
Daevion jerked a little in the wooden chair. He looked up at Vienna, then down at the soup. Daevion nodded and had a gaint spoonful, he spulttered and spit it out into the bowl. "What is this?" He asked angerliy.
Vienna was a bit taken aback as Daevion spit out the soup. "It's chicken noodle, what's wrong? I used to make it all the time back home..." she whispered. She was usually braver than this, but she didn't have the energy at this point.
Daevion slammed the soup down, and shoved the bowl back at her. "Go make the soup everyone else was making." Daevion was angry at her, Dam.n it! I just want my soup.
Vienna nodded meekly. She bit back a sharp retort on her tongue, but she had no choice but to return to the kitchen. As she entered, the head demon angel chef glared at her evily.
"Not the right soup, eh?" he cackled gleefully. He had known all along she wasn't making the right soup, he had just wanted to make sure she would get punished.
All Vienna could do was glare at him, she went over to the large pot of soup on of the other girls had cooked, and got a bowl full of that. She obidiently went back to Daevion's room, and handed him the new bowl of soup.
Daevion sniffed it and with a tired sigh ate it in a few bites. When he was done he looked up at Vienna, she was standing, he was sitting. He wasn't sure what to do with her, what did mortals do anyway? Their lifes were so short. "What do you do?"
Vienna watched as Daevion ate the soup in just a few bites. As he asked her that question, she frowned, a bit perplexed. Not sure how exactly to answer, she said "Well, I was an interior designer. So I designed and decorate people's homes for them. I also cook a bit, and I like to paint." Vienna offered this up as her answer, hoping it was satisfactory.
Daevion looked perplexed. "Interior design? Paint? What?" He was completly confused, what in the world was she talking about?
Vienna shook her head. "Listen, nevermind. It doesn't matter now anyways. I'm stuck.... down here." she mumbled. She turned her gaze away from him, and looked down at the ground, forcing to remind herself why she was here: for Nathan.
Daevion's eyes narrowed, he didn't like being told anything. Letting it go, Why are you such a softy?, he said, "Well you can go polish the floors in this room, my room, and then come in here when you are done."
Vienna nodded and moments later, a bucket, floor polish, sponge, and a towel appeared in front of her. She couldn't refuse orders, not even if she wanted to. Getting down on her hands and knees, she began to scrub the floor vigorously. ((Like we do with blueing ;) ))
(VIGOROUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aww, Daevion can't do anything vigorously cause he's lasy :) ))
Daevion watched her scrub the floor then pulled out a small device, something like a phone. Scanning it he sighed and left the room without further explaination.
(( Haha evil, but lazy! tsk tsk tsk ;) ))
Vienna continued scrubbing, letting out small sighs here and there. She watched as Daevion left the room, wondering where he was going. As she began to ask, she realized he was well ou of hearing range. She continued to scrub the floor, she didn't have any other choice after all.
