Vienna began full out crying now. She wanted nothing more than to lie curled up in the comfort of Daevion's arms. "No.... He treated me awful, and I was blind to it. I lost my friends, even my family thinks I'm an idiot. You're the best thing for me, Nathan is nothing to me. You're everything to me." she whispered through her tears.
Daevion turned to her his eyes slightly wide and his mouth open. Indulging to his instinct, Daevion moved over and wrapped her in his arms, holding her tightly, his muscular arms flexing around her body. "Why? Why did you stay with him? Why do I mean anything to you? I treated you affuly. But... you mean a lot to me too." He was stuck on the way he had treated her, and tears began rolling down his face.
Vienna curled up in Daevion's arms. She felt safer there some how. "I-I don't know why I stayed. I guess he just made me happy. When you love someone, you can be blind to their flaws. You just want everyone else to see them the way you do." she whispered. "And as for you, I am simply awestruck. I don't even know why.. Everything just feels so right. Maybe it's because you saved me." Vienna choked out in between tears. Seeing he was crying, she reached up and wiped the tears from his cheeks.
Daevion held her simply listening. As she wiped away his tears, Daevion was struck by how much this simple geuster meant to him. "It does feel right. But it feels so wrong too. I-I..." Daevion his head. "I don't know what I feel, but this is the best thing that's ever happened to me, thats for sure."
((the wrongness is his sense of duty speaking.))
(( Okay that makes sense!! )) Vienna wiped away her own tears and forced herself to sit up on her own. "I get it. You're a hunter, probably the best one from my knowledge. It feels right, but it wouldn't be fair to you. Maybe we should just end it here?" she murmured timidly. She ended her phrase in a question, leaving it up to Daevion to make the final call.
((grr, it didn't post!)) Daevion let her sit up and he searched her eyes. Then he kissed her full on the lips, sweet but not lasting. Then he pulled back, his eyes were hard again, back to the Daevion Vienna first knew. "It ends here, right now."
Vienna savored their last kiss, at least what she presumed would be their last. She turned away, unable to look into his eyes. When he spoke, she felt the hardness and coldness of his tone. It was like when he had first spoken to her after the accident. As he announced their short lived relationship coming to an end, she fought to choke back another round of tears. She didn't say anything, in fear she would begin sobbing as soon as she uttered a word.
((I'll post tonight, I promiss!))
Daevion turned away from her moving his body a couple feet away as well. He had blocked his mind, this hadn't happened acording to him. The buzzer in his pocket went off again and he checked it. Slowly Daevion stood and limped out of the room.
Vienna watched as Daevion exited the room, still limping. As he closed the door, she curled up on the bed and began bawling. She didn't know what else to do except cry. After sniffling, she thought of Nathan. "I still have Nathan." she reminded herself. She herself didn't truly believe the words that had came out of her mouth. Nathan had never treated her right, he never had and he never would.
Daevion's limp got better throughout the day as he collect souls. He collected them with viousness, as if each one was an emtion he was supressing.
Mabel srubbed at the floor as she chatted with her friend. "And when I got there, she was in his bed! Isn't that great, they didn't sleep together but think of the possiblitys, oh it would be great wouldn't it? I'd love for him to losen up. Oh dear, you have to promiss not to tell anyone, okay?"
Vienna went about her daily chores. She had gotten through most of them, and she was on her way to the kitchen to grab her lunch and take it back to their-- Daevion's room. She had to correct herself. You and Daevion aren't together. It was just a few kisses, none of it mattered because she hadn't felt anything right? Wrong.
As she made her way back upstairs she passed Mabel and what appeared to be another maid. She didn't say anything, she wasn't even sure what to call Mabel.
Daevion channeled his agner into the souls he was collecting. The Gardians didn't stand a chance.
Mabel chatted away with her friend. Then she saw Vienna at the door, "Vienna! Come in come iin, you can help us with this." Mabel got up and pulled vienna into the room. turning back to the other maid, Mabel said, "Guess what! Daevion didn't even strip Vienna of her name!"
((Don't forget, you control the other maid!))
Vienna brightened up as she saw Mabel. She made it a point not to call her by name in front of this other maid.
"I'm Vienna, nice to meet you." she murmured, holding out her hand to introduce herself.
The maid just looked at Vienna with disgust. "You don't get to know my name or shake my hand." she spat angrily. "I heard you've been sleeping with Daevion. I'd advise you to stop. He's MINE." the maid growled, taking a threatening step towards Vienna. "He didn't strip you of your name, eh? You must think you're pretty special, huh?" she taunted, now face to face with Vienna. She pulled out a butcher's knife from the kitchen and pressed it against Vienna's neck, beginning to draw blood.
Mabel stepped foward and pulled the maid back. "Whoa simmer down girl. We've been through this before, he doesn't like you like that!" Mabel held onto the girl's shoulders and tryed to wrestle the knife from her. "Calm down!"
Vienna was admittedly taken aback by the maid's sudden outburst. "Excuse me? You think I like Daevion? You think I have a thing with Daevion?" she spat angrily, her face a vibrant red due to the anger boiling up inside of her. "How would she know about this?" she shrieked looking wildly at Mabel in confusion.
"Don't you deny it! I have proof from a reliable source!" the other maid shreiked angrily, drawing in deep slow breaths, and slowly pulling her knife away from Vienna. "I will be back for you. I will find you, and I will make sure you pay for what you've done. Don't think the Devil would care to hear about your little affair now would he?" she snarled.
Vienna was admitedly taken aback by the maid's sudden outburst. Her face was evidently red, due to her sudden flair of anger. "How dare you accuse m.e of such a thing? I do not like Daevion in any way, shape, or form! In fact, I despise him!" she snarled angrily, taking a daunting step towards the other maid. "Where do you get such information?" she screeched.
The maid slowly pulled back the knife and took a step back. Crossing her arms, she looked slyly at Vienna. "I'll have you know, I've retrieved this information from a very reliable source. And mark my words, I will get Daevion and we will be madly in love. So watch your back." the maid hissed.
((I don't know if this will post or not. I'm having that problem I told you about. Yuck))
Mabel's mouth dropped watching her friend. "Whoa there, you know that he wouldn't like you, you are beneth his attention as am I. We simply have the honor of working or him." Mabel smiled and said, "And if your reliable sorce is me, I don't think I would trust me all that much" Mabel went over to Veinna and checked the small droplets of blood on her neck. "No serious injury. Really, you had to go that far?" Mabel shook her head and pulled her friend away leaving Veinna.
((The maid should attack while Vienna and her are alone :) ))
(( I am having trouble as well.... Blah! And yes I was thinking of that as well ;) ))
Vienna just crossed her arms. "Well I'll be leaving now then." she grumbled. As she turned around to walk in the opposite direction, she felt the maid jump on her, raking her nails down her back. Vienna shrieked loudly, but they were alone now so she doubted anyone could hear, nor care.
The maid knocked her to the ground pinning her down by her shoulders.
Vienna struggled and flailed her arms, but the maid was heavier than her, so it was no use. "Get. Off!" she gasped.
"Let me tell you one last time. I don't think you understood me quite clearly now. Daevion is MINE!" she shouted, pulling out her knife again. "I'll do more than draw a little blood this time."
((Sorry! I hadn't relised youhad posted! Then TI says you posted at 1:18 AM... Aw well, hey I forgot, is Daevion soposed to help her?))
Mabel went to the kitchens and started to help with lunch. She chatted away at the cook who was looking rather annoyed.
Daevion collected a soul who died of malnutruin and looked up at the gurdian standing only a few feet away. She looked furious, "How in heavn could you? That poor soul has done nothing more than fail to get a job! He doesn't have good morals, he'll be of no use to you!" Daevion turned to the gaurdian and snarled, "It's none of your buisness. I already have the soul, and it's of no use to you any more." The gaurdian's wings spread in indignation, "You've collect too many souls today, your throwing the scales off balance. If you want that soul, you're going to have to fight me."
((I hope the thing with the gaurdian is okay))
