Arielle's eyes widened with shock as she watched Andrew put on the straight jacket. "Oh my! You didn't have to do that! B-but thank you!" Arielle cried out. She made a mental note in her head to find a way to repay him later. Looking towards the Host, she wondered if she would punish her and Kay for not wearing the straight jacket.
(( Awww I'll miss you monkey! ))
The Host quickly answered Kay's question. "Oh, haven't I told you? That's the grand prize: Your Memories! Of course, there can only be one winner. Speaking of which, Arielle, though very indirectly, you have gotten Andrew into a straightjacket, so.." Arielle's chains popped open. Though there is nothing stopping you from running away, you won't get your memories back unless you win the game, and once you leave, you can't come back for them. If you do decide to stay, though, you can choose one contestant to release from the blue bungee cords," he offered, motioning to Ingrid and Nate. "Another chance for invinsibility: What time of dog is the Monopoly game piece?"
Nate was confused. Why had the host just watched all that unfold without intervening. Oh, probably because it made the "show" more exciting. And now he was bound to punish somebody.
You punish one of them, you'll get a punishment you'll never forget, you son of a b*tch, Nate thought to himself, as if he was talking to the host.
((Sorry. Put that post before read's :P))
((lol thnx for saying that, otherwise its pretty confusing :D))
Andrew rolled his eyes. "Yorkie." he said it so softly no one heard him. And he didn't want anyone to hear him. He didn't want to have a repeat of last time.
The Host raised his eyebrow at Andrew. "Oh, sorry Andrew, couldn't hear ya there. Something you'd like to say?..." A strange-looking mircophone came out of Andrew's podium, and a voice resembling Andrew's resonated through the room: "..don't want a repeat of last time"
((Ahem, I ended the quotation marks at Yorkie!))
((sorry, guess that wasn't clear: the microphone broadcasts your thoughts, not your voice))
((But, but, but, *sighes* fine. That is SOOOO not fair!))
Andrew held his breath. He didn't think he said that last part. He heard himself through the microphone and realized what was happening. He knew he couldn't stop thinking, so he decided to knock it over. He did it relatively fast so the mic couldn't pick up on much. It was kind of difficult since he was, after all, in a straightjacket, but he was able to kick it away.
((Is that acceptable? Or is it indistructible or something?))
((It's my quiz show! But yeah, it's not indestructible. Very delicate mind-reading machinery thingies))
The microphone broke off of Andrew's podium. The Host clicked his tongue condescendingly at Andrew. "Naughty little Andy! Since you're broken our precious technology, we'll have to give you some kind of punishment. Or, better yet, let's let your little "friends" get punished for you!" Microphones of the same variety came up on everyone's podium but Andrew's, this time protected in a glass box with small holes.
Arielle beamed as soon as she was released. Her first instinct was to get the heck out of that place, but she didn't want to leave without her memories. "I'm going to stay." she announced firmly. She looked back and forth between Ingrid and Nate. Nate appeared to be rather upset. "I-I-I'll release N-Nate." Arielle finally decided. She felt bad, she didn't like that she was forced to choose. Her head perked up as she listened to the question. She had a vague thought of the game. She wasn't sure how she knew it, but she thought she did. "It's a Scottish Terrier." Arielle answered, praying she was right.
((Sorry read, didn't see your post before I posted mine! I'll add on a bit :) ))
Arielle watched as the microphone popped up. This time it was protected by a glass case. She couldn't really complain, Andrew had taken the straight-jacket for her after all.
(Arg, you figured out his weakness!)
Andrew was annoyed. First the straightjacket, now the mics. "Why do you have us locked up? Are you doing it for your fun and entertainment, or are you too scared that we'll attack you or something if you let us go?" The 'Host' started to speak with that annoying sly grin of his, but Andrew cut him off. "That's it isn't it? You're scared." Andrew was bluffing, but he hoped the 'Host' couldn't tell. With all of them obviously drugged beforehand to knock them out, Andrew doubted that even together they'd be able to escape. And even if the 'Host' let them go, he still had their memories.
Nate was mad inside as he fell to the ground from the bungie. He didn't want them to give this host anything. Not give him anything to work with. He flashed a sorrowful look at Irene, then continued to watch the events chain out silently, keeping his thoughts quiet. Because he had a few choice words he'd like to use on the host at the moment.
((Ingrid. Whoops :P))
((If they hadn't lost their memories, I would've already added a book reference. :) ))
((am I still tied up in the bungees?))
((Yeah, Ingrid's still tied to the bungies.))
Ingrid squirmed in the bungee cords. Her arms were beginning to ache.
"Please let me out" she said softly "I'll answer your silly questions."
