((lol, I'd like to make sure at least one other person is ready before we start. Star, get your skelly up whenever you can, just wanted to make sure you were still on board!))
(( Gah here it goes! Hope it posts!! :)))) ))
Name: Arielle Ryder
Appearance: Arielle is around 5'-6" in height. She is long and lanky, her legs are longer than average. She has small, sharp facial features. Her hair is jet black, and pin straight. It falls just above her waist. Her skin is pale, her appearance is somewhat daunting.
Personality: Arielle is extremely shy. She hardly ever speaks, and when she does she is very hard to hear. She is extremely caring and is empathetic when others are in pain. All in all, she is extremely kind, but because hardly speaks, most people don't give her the time of day.
((Ok! Here we gooooo!))
The Host rotating his shoulders, straightened his tie, and beamed at the camera as the lights flashed brighter overhead. "Aaaand we're back!" The studio audience cheered. "Hope you're ready for the cra-a-aziness to begin, because it's tiiime for...QUIZ SHOW!" Turning to his captive players as if nothing was amiss, she asked them smoothly. "Tell me, whicever of you dares to answer, what is the deadliest octopus in the world?"
((a note on these questions: there's no rule against just looking up the answers online, the game will progress whether you get them wrong or right. Do whatever you think works! And sorry if I get any of the questions wrong :S))
Nate was still adjusting to the situation when the seemingly insane host blurted out the "first question". Game show? Nate tried to remember how he'd gotten here, but his mind was blank. He barely remembered his own name. But whatever. He wasn't going to answer this "host's" question. He wasn't going to grace him with an answer. He stayed silent, letting another person answer the odd question.
Ingrid snapped awake, a terrible sound ringing in her mind. Lights glared, leaving blistering streaks across her eyeballs. Her mouth tasted like pennies, and she felt queasy. For a moment, she was disoriented, and then she realized why she felt so funny. She couldn't remember who she was. This feeling was terrifying.. and even more frightening when coupled with the strange situation she found herself in. She gasped for breath, but she felt tears pricking at her eyes.
The booming voice repeated the question, and her face paled. It was such a strange question. She couldn't remember anything about herself. How could she remember what kind of octopus was the deadliest?
"No takers? Oh, well.." The Host murmured with no hint of remorse. He actually seemed pleased that no one had answered the question. "The answer was the "blue ringed octopus", and just so you remember that little nugget of knowledge, here's a little present for you!" The Host motioned to the ceiling, and blue cords sprang from the ceiling, ensnaring Nate and Ingrid and suspending them like bungee cords.
"Next question! Who wrote "Pride and Prejudice"?"
Kays head jerked up at the title. "Jane Austen..." She muttered. She looked nervously from side to side across the stage not sure if anyone had heard her or not.
Nate gritted his teeth behind his closed lips. He wasn't going to give this man any fear. But now he realized he'd have to answer questions if he wanted to stay alive. Maybe he'd know the next one...
Arielle jolted awake at the sound of the booming host's voice. Bright lights were flashing, the crowd was roaring. She noticed other people around her, two of them happened to be entangled in long blue bungee cords. Arielle's eyes were widened in fear and shock. As the next question was asked, Arielle realized that she could hardly remember a thing about herself. What she did know was that she needed to get out of here. She stood up and attempted to walk, but she was chained to the podium. Arielle begn to thrash furiously but to no avail.
((Aww, I missed the first question.))
Andrew's eyes snapped open at the mention of Pride and Prejudice. He heard the Host repeat the question. "Who wrote Pride and Prejudice?" Andrew glanced to the side and saw two people wrapped up in bungee cords. He guessed what happened to them, and decided to answer. "Jane Austen." He wondered how he could remember that of all things, when he didn't even know his last name.
((Does this count since 'Kay' already answered it?))
In a tangle of cords, Ingrid began to sob helplessly. She wanted to go home-- not that she could remember where that was anymore.
((dang! the one day im not online, i get buried under anavalanche of posts?))
The Host beamed at Kay and Andrew for answering the question correctly. "Congradulations on having the first right answer of the day! As a reward, you get the opportunity to complete an Invincibility Challenge..." he cast an annoyed look at Arielle, who seemed to be freaking out. "You two can get Crazy Girl into this straightjacket, and you will be rewarded handsomely." He threw a straightjacket at Andrew, and the lights flashed with exciting colors.
Arielle stopped flailing. She listened to the Host's words, and saw her toss a straight jacket toward Andrew. "No!" she screamed, her eyes pleading, fear causing her body to tremble. "Please no, please please please no!" Arielle cried out desperately. "I'll answer the next question right please I promise!" she cried out, now on the verge of tears.
The Host seemed to ponder Arielle's plea. "Well, if the audience agrees..." A large screen behind the contestants flashed with varying bar graphs, until the one on the left rose high above the others. "Fine! If you can put one of them in the straightjacket, Arielle," The Host smiled like the Chesire Cat, "we'll unlock your chains!"
Kay instantly felt pity for the girl and spoke up. "I'll wear the jacket. If it'll help her. Though I would very much like to know where we are, how we got here, and what you did with my memories." By the end of her sentence she had tears in her eyes and it was everything she could do to stop them from falling.
Arielle cowered by her podium. "B-b-but I don't want to hurt them. They haven't done anything to me." Arielle whimpered. A straight jacket was tossed over to her. It was almost too heavy for her to even carry. A girl volunteered to wear the straight jacket for her. As much as Arielle didn''t want to wear the jacket, she didn't want someone else to wear it for her.
Andrew was nervous. One of them was going to have to put on a straightjacket, and he wasn't too fond of doing it himself. He glanced at the other two. He couldn't take it. With both of them crying, he knew what he had to do. He put the straightjacket on.
Kay kept glancing around nervously. Trying to get herself under control. Then a boy put on the straight jacket. "What? Why did you do that?"
((Hey guys Im gunna be MIA this weekendIll try to get on on Sunday have a nice weekend))
"Well one of us had to do it." Andrew answered sheepishly.
