((Omg and Roman would be like "Go.d, no." and then Ryan would wiggle his brows and Roman would get all blushy and make up an excuse like "Hey Noah, we need some more milk or something...right?" while slowly inching away from Ryan xD I don't know what you want to do about the second gen, though...like, do you want to post Zonica's boy first, and then I can do the girl after? Would that be okay? ))
((Yes! Exactly, haha. And he would call him these ridiculous nicknames like Ro Ro, and el ángel oscuro and I can see this being very hilarious. XD And yes, I can do Zonica's boy, right after I finish typing up Lillian's. I'm almost done, I just have a little bit to go. :))
Name: Lillian (no steady last name, but she's going by Ingle right now.)
Age: 14 1/2 (she'll correct you if you say otherwise! but you can you can usually expect her to lie about her age)
Ability: Lillian has limited telepathy. She can project her voice or images into another persons mind, and can also push suggestions to them, like a sort of mind control that often comes across as hyper persuasion. Unless you have a mental shield up, she can take a quick skip through your mind, which she'll often do without permission.
Appearance: Lillian likes to describe her appearance as very 'femme punk', a term she purportedly came up with herself. At any rate, she has a wild head of loopy curls that tumble over her shoulders and spill just slightly down her back. They're a mixture of gold and straw, courtesy of James. Her eyes are narrow and a greenish hazel color, wide set on her sharp pointy heart shaped face. She's got James's small pointed nose, but aggressively thin lips that were probably gained from her mother. Also like James, Lillian has a plethora of freckles dotting her entire body, mostly across her cheeks and forehead. Her eyebrows are naturally high and arched, giving her a perpetually sarcastic look. Lillian stands at the miserable height of 5'2" (thanks, James) except she makes up for it with her large personality and loud piercing voice. Lillian has three piercings in one ear, two in the other. She keeps studs in the first two, and little smiley face earrings in the primary ones. As for clothes, this is where her 'femme punk' thing comes in. She has a much loved leather jacket that has seen a lot of wear and tear, although it's pretty much peppered with various buttons and clip ons and poorly sewn on patches, making it into a colorful hodgepodge. Lillian is fond of flower t-shirts- flower prints, flower designs, flower any things. Just flowers, she loves flowers. She's fond of wearing daringly short jean shorts, with maybe some flower print stockings underneath, and then for shoes, she just goes for sneakers because she don't want to look too much like a pretentious hipster. (Her words). Lillian also has an old side satchel which she generally uses for all of her worldly belongings- mostly journals and pens, fulfilling her desire to become a journalist at an early age.
Personality: Lillian is a fast talking straightforward blunt machine sometimes. She aspires to be a hard core journalist some day, exposing corruption and political filth, being a savior of the people. So, as a result, a lot of her conversations leave you with the impression of being grilled during an interview. Being raised by James left Lillian a very pragmatic person with an earnest outlook on life, and perhaps questionable morals. She has no illusions about happiness or goals to become great- she simply finds what she wants to do and accomplishes it. Despite this fast talking, world savvy persona Lillian had, she's compassionate- and extraordinarily dedicated (sometimes wrongly) to several causes. She's fond of justice and liberty and overthrowing authority figures and giving power to the people. Of course, being realistic, she has no illusions that she'll ever be successful, but it doesn't mean she'll try, because most of it is a game. Instead this results in a faux rebellious mannerism and an abundance of concern for the little people. As well as being 'hardcore' as she likes to describe it, Lillian openly embraces Bei feminine. She'll wear skirts or makeup, she likes flowers and pretty things. The best thing that could be said about Lillian is that she's an extraordinarily confusing person. A kid with too many ideas, trying to spread herself out into every single one of them.
Bio: As hinted, James's upbringing of Lillian was anything but traditional. They moved around frequently, and he didn't out her in school immediately, instead teaching her more useful things, like how to lie and steal. Lillian had a strange relationship with James. She always called m by his first name, never referred to him as 'Dad', and they had a sort of business like relationship for a while. As soon as her powers surfaced, James trained himself to block her mentally unless she asked permission to be let in to his head. Not that it was much of a problem, James answered all of her questions bluntly and truthfully. (Where is my mom? I left her. Where are my grandparents? I killed your grandma, when I was a little older than you. Never had a dad. Don't you have any friends? No, I almost got them killed and they didn't like me much anyways.) Lillian's curiosity was always satisfied. Despite all the horrible things it was obvious her father had done, Lillian thought he was a brilliant man, severely underrated, and weakened by inner demons that he couldn't let go. She would remind him frequently that he could be great, and he would just give her a sad smile like he knew but still didn't do anything about it. Then, Lillian decided with James that she would be better off in foster care, and there she rotated in different houses, looking forward to a visit with James every weekend. As she grew older, she felt how broken he was getting, how tired of life. Twenty four hours before where we're going to pick up from Lillian walked into James's motel room for their weekly time together, and was completely unsurprised to find him lying there on the motel bed, still and peaceful, a faint smile of his lips like he was glad to finally be free of his miserable life. Lillian gave herself a minutes worth of mourning before she pocketed the cards left on the nightstand, and followed the instructions he had carefully left in hers...
((I'm almost all skellied out, so his might be a little lame. :P))
Name: Giuseppe Braverman (born Giuseppe Lapiano. Giuseppe is pronounced jeh-SEP-eh, and he often goes by Giu, which is pronounced like 'Joe', but more of an 'eh' sound.)
Ability: Giuseppe has a videographic memory. He literally remembers everything he ever sees and hears, and has instantaneous recall. He also has mimicry abilities on the side- he can replicate any sound or voice he hears, but only in the capacity that he's heard it.
Appearance: Giuseppe is a black Italian. He has smooth dark brown skin that's almost got a mahogany color to it. His face isn't very sculpted, rather flat and oval, with almond shaped eyes that are dark enough to be called black. They're often completely flat and analytical. His nose is wide, and slightly flat as well, and he almost always has a permanent frown on his face, like he always thinking extraordinarily hard. He has a single light scar of his left cheekbone that he got while at the orphanage. His hair is kept natural and barely long, the rough black strands twisted into the beginning of dreads, but only about an inch long. Giu isn't very tall, maybe around 5'6" or so, but that's alright with him. He doesn't really care about a lot of things. Giu also sports narrow glasses with thick black frames. His build is lean and gangly, for his size, and he's not in any particular good shape. He frequently just wears dark jeans and t-shirts with comic book characters on them, and always a jacket. He never goes with out it, a simple maroon and green (quite frankly hideous) cloth jacket with a hood and zipper, and sneakers.
Personality: Giuseppe is naturally reserved cold and distant. He doesn't try to be that way, nor does he intentionally do it to cause offense, it's just the way he is. When he speaks, it's quickly and rationally, without error or stumbling. He says what he needs to say, then he's quiet. Truthfully, the world is an alien place for Giu. He would much rather frequent pages of his Runaways comics than face the real world with it's walking talking complex thinking people. Although he was never officially diagnosed, it's often assumed that Giu is on the spectrum, whether it's Aspergers or some other form of autism, it's kind of obvious in his inability to comprehend people. Although he can parrot back any information he receives, it doesn't mean that he understands the inflections or complex turnings of anyone's mind. Giu also sees things on a completely linear plane. There is no level of caring for him- he loves on a single level- he loves his comics, but he also loves his sister and his parents. But his mind doesn't differentiate the love designated for family, and the love designated for material items. Giuseppe also doesn't deal with without order and stability. In stressful situations, he'll often just 'shut down' lock himself down in his mind. When he's especially freaked out, he'll make a frantic humming noise.
Bio: All that's really known about Giu was that he was picked up from the orphanage by Monica and Zeke when he was six, and he won't talk about his life there at all. His mutant power was burgeoning at that point, and coming to America, he learned English in a matter of weeks. Raising him was always kind of different, and Monica always tried to be patient and gentle with him, which could be hard sometimes. Coming to America, he discovered comic books, and grew engrossed in them, using them as his outlet and safe place to escape to. He attends Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, and is a junior.
((Omg I can't wait for Lillian and Grace to meet! ^.^ They're also going to have fun interactions, I think :) ))
((Oh no not at all! I'm already in love with him! <3))
Name: Esmerelda Braverman (nee Zinni, before she was adopted, and usually just goes my Es for short. Calling her by her full name results in a glare)
Ability: Esmerelda has the power of illuision manipulation. She doesn't like using it, because she essentially projects a false enviroment to whoever she wants. It's somewhat like Abreas, where he would create your greatest fear and cause a person to mentally relive it. Except, Es's differs in the fast that she can literally make you believe you're anywhere; a beach, a home, a grocery store, when in reality, you're just sitting in one spot. As far as she knows, the only people who can resist her powers are those with powers like herself, such as Reve (whom he gladly let her experiment on)
Appearance: Whereas Giu looks like his mother, Es looks more like her father. She has his same skin color, the true Italian bronze tan. Her face has soft features that are rarely structered into any fierce expression, unless you're threatening her brother. Esmerelda has a heart shaped face, with big dark brown eyes that dominate her face. She doesn't like her nose very much, since during her youth, it got called a "beak" and "much too large for her otherwise small features". Other than that, it is obvious that one day, she will be a beautiful young woman. For the time being, however, she is stuck with honey colored hair that's a boring straight (she usually pulls it back from her face in a loose ponytail), and a figure she considers should be skinnier. Esmerelda falls around 5'4'', weighing roughly 130 or so. She usually wears leggings, maxi-skirts, and shirts that cover up her chest as much as possible. She's still in that pubrity stage where she's not entirely comfortable with her body, but is slowly learning to be. One thing Es can never leave the house without is her tan knapsack; she has a habit of taking pictures with a camera she keeps in it.
Personality: Esmerelda is a quiet soul, much like her brother. The big contrast is, however, is her empathetic nature. She tries not to offend others, and speaks kind words like a second nature. She firmly believes that one day, the world will come to accept differences, rather than run away from them. Some say Es is a fool for this, but she doesn't care. One day, it has to happen. Once you get to know her, it doesn't take long to figure out that she is actually very fun loving, and easily picked up on Zeke's carefree, humorous attititude. The one thing that will change Es from a smiling young woman is the moment that someone either threatens, or offends her brother. Once that happens, she will become fiercely protective and do whatever it takes to keep Giu safe. She loves her brother more than anything, and most often, can be found close by. Esmerelda wants to be there for him forever, even if that can't always be true. Whenever he's having an episode, she uses her powers to project something nice--usually in his bedroom, where he's reading comics--before slowly easing him into reality. Even if that can sometimes be detrimental, Es can have a habit of doing whatever she thinks right, instead of listening to other's opinions first.
Bio: Esmerelda was picked up from an All Girl's Orphanage right down the street from Zeke's. She was about seven or so, a year after Giu. It was difficult for her to learn English, considering she wasn't taught it at the orphanage, which was much stricter than Zeke's, since they were girls. It left her with an accent more noticeable than her father's and Giu's, but she learned to accel at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Es was actually a very obedient child, espcailly watching how hard it was raising Giu. She loves her parents very much, and occasionally, she will sneak photos of them together and then present them with a small album on their anniversary. Esmeralda would love to be a photographer one day.
((Aw, I love Es so much she sounds so sweet and reminds me of myself, xD, especially with that nose. So now for the twins, right. I haven't thought about them too much, but when I first imagined them, I imagined them with slightly frizzy reddish auburn hair that was all puffy, kind of tall and gangly with milky skin and round features, with light blue eyes. That was just my first impression. Also, I still have to settle on a power for my twin. I think her name will be Isolde, kind of like a little joke on Tristan's part. Yes, I can see him very pleased with that name. XD))
((Haha thanks! :) And I guess I'm kind of lucky because my twin (I still have to think of a name, too xD) doesn't have a power....yet. But yeah, I can definately roll with that appearance, for sure! :) And like, the only difference is that one of them has like, a birthmark on the back of their neck. What about ages? I'm thinking maybe around 16...? ))
((Cool! Okay, yeah, that sounds good. :) Sixteen is a good age too. I'll start writing up Isolde's skellie then. :))
((And oh, I don't really get the joke on Isolde's name...? lol xD I don't even know how to pronounce it haha and what last name are we going with here? Are we like, doing a hyphen thing for De and Tristan? ))
((Oh, it's a music joke- Wagner wrote this opera called Tristan and Isolde. It's pronounced eye-zold, I'm pretty sure. I just really like the name and realized how funny it would be if I named her that. Oh yeah, I was going to ask about that. We could go with a hyphenated name, although I've forgotten De's last name. Tristan's is Dannery, I think. Haha, I can't even remember their last names. :P))
(( Ohhhhh okay music joke lol xD That is actually pretty amusing haha I'm in Choir, though, so like all my music knowledge is...limited, for lack of better term xD And it's all good; De's is Kanupskos, which is like sooooo Greek lol so it can be Dannery-Kanupskos :) ))
Name: Clara Dannery-Kanupskos. She doesn’t mind if people call her “Claire” for short.
Appearance: Clara is the epitome of “Irish”. She has milky white skin, clear as porcelain, with slightly frizzy, reddish auburn hair. Most of the time she twists it up a messy bun, where strands fall by her delicate, round face. She doesn’t have very many freckles, though, except a few that are dotted under her light, blue eyes. Like her sister, Clara is tall, thin, and rather lanky, much to her dismay. What slight curves she has, Clara makes sure to dress accordingly, often seen in crop tops that show her flat, pale stomach and pierced belly button. She’s in love with making her own clothes, and can be seen asking her aunt Juliet for design advice. Most of the time, Clara wears short jean shorts that are ripped, with some brown boots that lace up to her shin. Clara is also fond of bracelets that jangle around her thin wrists, along with her silver stub that’s in her small, button nose. She also loves experimenting with make-up; one day, she’ll be seen with none, while the next, her cheeks will be rouged with pink and eyeliner a winged green. Clara is prone to dyeing her hair random colors, such as blue or green underneath. She gives off the aura of being a rebel, just by her attire, when really, she just likes to express herself.
Personality: Clara is free spirit. That much is obvious with the way she dresses and walks with a slight bounce to her step. She is constantly wondering what she could do next, such as what book to read next, or what band she can discover. A lot of her antics about her appearance is due to the fact that she doesn’t really feel…special. As in, both her dads have amazing powers, and even her sister. She was the odd one out since birth, so the way she looks at it is that if she has to be the odd one out, then it should be by her own terms. It should be because of her makeup, or her clothes. Not because she doesn’t have powers. Clara just wishes she was special, too, even if she realizes that the attitude towards Gifted is not favorable. Secretly, she feels boring without any. So, she makes up for it by trying to be as interesting as possible. She is inquisitive, constantly exploring and even occasionally, dropping by her uncle Zeke’s house to ask advice on what prank she should try pulling at her normal high school she attends, instead of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Clara loves a good laugh, and hides her insecurities with jokes and a carefree attitude. What no one would ever guess is that she really loves math, and is definitely the kind of girl who belts out Maroon Five in the shower.
Bio: Clara and Isolde were orphans by birth. For as long as she can remember, Isolde has been special and Clara…not so much. Still, they weren’t separated, and because of that, their bond is very close. Clara loves Isolde very much, and would literally do anything for her. By the time they were adopted by Tristan and De at a very young age, Clara fell in love with both of them. She didn’t mind not having a mom; it wasn’t like she didn’t have any female figures to look up to, anyways. Her aunts—Juliet, Monica and Sera—were in her life, and for that, Clara was grateful. Yet, at the end of the day, she loved knowing she was cared for by the kindest men she had ever met. All of her memories growing up from adoption are great, from going to Coney Island and riding a Ferris wheel with De for the first time, to having Tristan and her talk about math excitedly late at night. She is thankful for where she is at, and grateful that Isolde has someone that had powers like her.
((I kept things kind of vague, but if I need to change anything, I can :) ))
((Okay, sorry this is short and kind of lame but I'm just feeling really uninspired at this moment, I guess. I can add a bio later, I guess. And sorry I disappeared- I got pulled away to pack for my trip and everything and boy am I exhausted. :))
Name: Isolde (eye-zold, although she'll often go by Izzy.)
Ability: Substance mimicry. Isolde can touch any substance and her molecular composition will change and mimic the substance. For instance, if she so willed, Izzy can touch something made of iron, and take on the appearance and qualities of iron.
Appearance: Isolde is identical to her sister Clara in most respects, except for a dark brown birthmark on her collarbone in a shape she insists looks like Illinois. Her bouncy frizzy auburn hair is cut just above her shoulders, and sometimes she uses just a simple headband to keep it back. Izzy is often identified by the fact that she wears glasses- very large square glasses with thick blue frames. While Claire always seemed to be making the most of her body type, Isolde never really cared or felt inspired enough to dress as nicely as her sister, although she was in the habit of borrowing her sister's clothes on occasion (why not? It was like having a little free boutique in which everything was her size). Isolde traditionally wears large t-shirts and skinny jeans, and a pair of old battered and scribbled upon converse. As tame as her appearance was, Isolde always thought tattoos were the literal coolest, although she knew she would never work up the courage to actually get one, so it instead resulted in her arms being almost constantly covered with dark ink that she drew on herself.
Personality: Isolde is the most patient person you would ever meet. She's not always chipper, per se, but she's almost always content, and it's easy to tell. She's just always happy with the way things are, a 'go with the flow' type of person. She's an eternal optimist, which can get to be quite annoying sometimes. Unfortunately, this gives Isolde a naivety often seen in small children. She's entirely gullible and liable to see some grain of goodness in everyone. This can be dangerous sometimes, because she'll never raise a hand in defense of herself, because she earnestly believes that they're just carrying out their beliefs, of which she'll not stand in the way of, and hey, maybe she deserved it, but she wouldn't know because she didn't believe you could judge yourself in good or bad ways. If anyone raised a hand against Clara, on the other hand... To anyone, really. Isolde is the type of person to disregard herself if she could make someone else happy, or if she could save someone, help them in some manner. She's a naturally funny person, although her jokes are never at anyone's expense, and she loves laughing, or being happy, which often means she'll go do the smallest inconsequential things in order to make it so. Drawing is one of those happy things she does, although it's always in black and white, and she isn't nearly so good as her Uncle Zeke.
((So I was wondering, where and when do you think we should start off the sequel? The only person I know what I'm doing with his Lillian, who's going to be walking up to the school. :))
((So I was wondering, where and when do you think we should start off the sequel? The only person I know what I'm doing with his Lillian, who's going to be walking up to the school. :))
(( Oh it's fine ^.^ and personally I'm going to start off with Roman in the sewers, and also with Es coming home to an oddly frantic father, since Sera is in the hospital and such. Is that okay with you? And I hope you have fun at your camp! :) and don't worry, Izzy is wonderful :) should we put our skeletons on the new thread? ))
((Okay, then I'll do a post for either Ryan and May then too. That's totally fine, I'll post for all my characters and such eventually, and find places for them. And yes, I'll start th new thread. :))
