(I am getting more curious and where this Sera chick is now, in the current role play...?)

Zeke

"You have an art room?" Zeke repeated outloud, if somewhat dubiously. Amedeus didn't look so bothered at Sera's light hearted scolding; he simply shrugged, glancing over at the math problem Tristan was rapidly solving. So fast...

"Show him, Sera. Tristan and I really do need to study." Amedeus suggested, not taking his eyes off of either his or Tristan's paper. Zeke stood up immediately, beaming at the thought of actually going somewhere interesting. And with a pretty girl...

"Sounds good to me. I'll meet up with you two later." Zeke said, patting Tristan on the back. He gave a friendly wave to Amedeus, though, who gave a wry smile in response. No doubt Zeke was weary of touching him, out of the fear that he might disappear or something.

"Lead the way, Miss." Zeke offered, his hand sweeping out in front of him in faux haughtiness.

((I figured she's graduated, and stayed in New York with her own art studio. She's in the year above Zeke. :))

Sera

Tristan jumped slightly as Zeke gave him a pat on the back, and he straightened his glasses and gave them shooing hand gesture. "You two are noisy anyways," he said, smiling, and scrawling a few quick numbers into the margins of his papers.

Sera waved her fingers in a goodbye gesture. She saw more of Tristan and Amedeus than most, but it still wasn't that much. She made a mental note to change that. "Will do, good sir," she replied to Zeke, mimicking his haughty tone, and slinging her backpack over her shoulder. It jingled as she shouldered it, covered in buttons and trinkets from around the world.

"So, Mr. Braverman," Sera started as she led Zeke out of the library into the confines of the scarcely populated halls, "Since you're not especially forthcoming, I suppose I have some questions to ask of you. Namely- is my position as the awesome artist if this school about to be threatened?" She gave him one of her curling grins.

( Awh! Maybe later on in this role play, Sera could be one of the rare that actually pry some information out of him...? They are so much alike, I wouldn't be surprise if Zeke seriously had some genuine feelings towards her.)

Zeke

"Well, that depends,"Zeke replied honestly, still carrying his sketchbook lightly in his hands. He noted he was a little taller than her, and relished in that fact, before giving Sera a sideways glance."What do you draw? I'm mostly into landscapes right now."

For a moment, he paused, before he swiftly pulled Sera into a nook in the hallway. It was in front of an empty classroom, and Zeke eagerly flipped through the pages.

"See? Here's some of Roma, and while I was in the airport in the UK, I got a few sketches of Big Ben." It was obvious Zeke was passionate about art; his eyes close more freely and energetically, before a smug smile settled lopsidedly on his mouth.

"The only think you should be worried about is getting pranked. I'm the best pranker around, and you seem like the perfect girl to have has my sidekick. Pretty, smart, and an artist." Zeke nodded to himself, smiling at her even more."You're not a goody two shoes, though, right?" He added as an afterthought.

((Yeah, that would work. I think it's going to be really interesting to see his this turns out, versus Erin/Zeke's convoluted relationship. ^^ I may bring Sera back briefly in the original roleplay- that would be interesting. :))

Sera

Sera squeaked as Zeke pulled her into that nook. "Give a girl a warning now, would ye?" she said a little breathlessly, trying not to laugh. She leaned in closer to look at the sketchbook Zeke flipped through, still smiling. Some of the pages flipped by fast enough that she only got a glimpse of them, which made her want to scour through the notebook herself.

"Zeke, these are beautiful," she breathed, leaning in closer to look at the Big Ben drawing." She straightened with mock solemnity. "I hereby declare you worthy of taking my title," she intoned. Sera loved watching things that made other people happy. Zeke's grin seemed so genuine, so content.

"I'm not much of a drawer, though," she added musingly, since he asked. Sera held up her gloved hands and wiggled her fingers, "It's a wee bit difficult to hold pencils though. I mostly sculpt," at the mention of sculpting, Sera's eyes lit up much in the same way Zeke's had. She considered herself so lucky to have been able to find something so productive to do with her ability.

"I'm not much in the way of rule breaking," she laughed, hooking her arm with his and pulling him out of the nook, "But I suppose I can make an exception if you keep up all this flattering."

( That would be very interesting. And veeeeeeeery confusing for Zeke xD )

Zeke

So her power prevents her from touching anyone with her flesh. And I thought I had it bad. Zeke thought to himself at the wiggling of her fingers. Still, Sera seemed very care free. That meant nothing though; Zeke always acted like the happiest guy around, even it it was farthest from the truth. He was happy that Sera's arm was hooked through his because it prevented him from plucking at his bracelet.

"I've never tried sculpting before." Zeke admitted, now curious as he let Sera lead him along where ever. "I've seen it. One time I went to Roma, and they have amazing pottery." He smiled faintly at the memory, before Zeke's grin became more flirtatious. Again.

"All my compliments are true, you know." For once, anything mocking or teasing was out of Zeke's voice. He sounded very serious for a thirteen year old, before he continued as if he had never made such a confession in his life."I can only hope your compliments to me are true, too." Zeke added in a somewhat bashful chuckle. He wasn't used to praise just yet; he usually only got it from himself.

Sera

Sera paused. Zeke was peculiar in a way she couldn't quite place. Earnest at times, like now, but then joking around and grinning the next. She supposed it had something to do with spending time in an orphanage. That would probably do something for the social skills of someone.

"You don't know me very well yet, Zeke," she said thoughtfully, starting to walk again and still holding on to his arm, "But I never say anything that I think is completely false. And because I've got so much faith in humanity, I go around assuming everyone else does to." Sera felt that pretty much summed it up.

Just as she finished, they came to the art room, finally. It was Sera's favorite room in the school, and she often spent her free hours in there working on something a little extra. Sera pushed open the door, and peered in to see who was present, before holding it all the way open for Zeke. The teacher- Mrs. Becker- wasn't in at the moment, but there were a few hard core art students finishing up projects for their portfolios or something scattered throughout the room.

"Welcome to the coolest place this school has to offer," she grinned, sweeping her hand out. The art room had large floor to ceiling windows along one wall, and industrial lights along the ceiling. There were rows of work tables in the center, and shelves along the entire length of wall with a variety of mediums. A paint splatter tarp hung in one corner of the room, and in another was a wood working table.

Sera let go of Zeke's arm and bounded to the nearest corner of the room, where her usual work table was. Hers was easily identifiable because of the places she accidentally touched with her bare hands, leaving the table with slightly disfigured and warped surface. At one spot, it looked like a paintbrush had melded to the tabletop.

"So," she grinned, "Impressed or what?"

Zeke

At Sera's response, Zeke thought of a quote. A quote he couldn't help but to murmur, with a slight smirk.

"'And that's the thing about people who mean everything they say. They think everyone else does, too.'" He clarified to himself. It was from some book he had read earlier on, but would be much to bothersome to try an remember the title now."I think I understand." He added subsequently, before Sera brought him to the art room.

He almost dropped his sketchbook.

The library was nothing compared to this room. Sunlight from floor to ceiling windows shone through, casting a vintage buttery glow on everything in the room. Which was massive, by the way. Maybe bigger than the library? Certainly bigger than anything Zeke had seen. Especially the dinky one back home in Italy. This art room seemed to have everything! From oil paints (that Zeke really wanted to go to right away) to wood works and pottery. He felt his mouth open slightly in awe, before he let Sera lead him to her work area.

"Uh, yeah." Zeke replied with an ecstatic laugh, running a hand through his hair as he looked around. He suspected the whole west wall must have been glass or something..."This place is amazing!" Sure, he was stating the obvious, but he couldn't help it as he began to examine Sera's place more closely, curiously lighting the pupils of his eyes.

"Whoa. Definitely some mad pottery skill going on over here." He whistled low, wiggling his brows. It was obvious that this was where most of the lottery happened. There was a closet door opened nearby with the sound of spinning wheels and chatter. The smell of clay was most prominent here. A guy was nearby, working on a rather intricate vase. Except, he wasn't really looking at his creation. Just in front of him, with a slight smile of contentness resting on his lips. A spot of clay dabbed the corner of his nose, and his dirty blonde hair was brushed stylishly in a feathery fringe. It must have been some pottery thing that Zeke didn't get.

"So, an I allowed just to take art all day or what?" Zeke asked Sera, inquisitive as he took a seat on a nearby clay splattered stool."Because now I want to try a hand at this pottery thing."

Sera

Sera couldn't help grinning at Zeke's reaction. She loved it when she made others happy- bringing Zeke to the art room was definitely a great idea. It felt good, his response. She laughed, and sat at her own stool. "Unfortunately not, but the room is open virtually all hours to art students. But you need a special card to unlock the door after lights out, and Mrs. Becker only hands them out to 9-12 graders," she babbled on cheerfully.

"It really is the most amazing thing. Sometimes I wish I grew up here, but then I don't think I'd be able to appreciate anything," she said with a faraway look in her eyes. Sera snapped herself back to attention- something she found herself having to do often, being somewhat of a dreamer.

"But, we do have an hour or so before Lunch. So, you want to try this 'pottery thing'?" Sera smirked, and her eyes crinkled at the corners. "I'm afraid when it comes to making vases and such, I'm not much of a help. Can't work a wheel, you see. But I can very well show you the way around a piece if clay, if you'd like."

Zeke

"Oh. Well that stinks, because I'm not in high school yet." Zeke bluntly replied, sighing dramatically as he set his sketchbook on a nearby wooden table, equally as dirty as the stool he was sitting on. Not that he minded..."Are you going to be a freshman?" Zeke asked Sera, beginning to smile."Because if you are, you could totally hook me up with the after hour thing, right?"

The spin of a wheel nearby--the boy who had a faraway look in his eye-- had stopped, and briefly, Zeke wondered exactly why Sera couldn't work a machine. He did notice the strangely shaped things around her work area. A pencil warped in a curling DNA shape or what looked like a paintbrush melded into the desk itself.

But I won't ask. Zeke vowed to himself. She hasn't asked about mine and I won't ask about hers. He thought resolutely, before the boy that was beside them approached.

Standing up, he looked more like Tristan than Zeke. Well, maybe more proportioned, with a lean build and easy going smile. His brown eyes flitted around, and Zeke rose his brow.

"Excuse me, Sera, but I couldn't help but to ah, overhear,"At this, he blushed, somewhat abashed,"Your conversation. I'm guessing you're new here." The boy's brown eyes wandered over to Zeke, but didn't exactly land on him."Hello. I'm Micah, and welcome to the Marvel School. I'm going to be a freshman this year, and if you really want to try pottery, I can help you out." Micah offered a hand, and Zeke tossed a broad grin towards Sera.

"Sure, dude! That would be great!" Zeke replied enthusiastically, shaking his hand as he stood up."My name is Zeke, by the way." He introduced, sitting back down. Micah smiled in response, his hands slightly dry from the clay he washed off from before.

"Nice to meet you. Sera and I are kind of the pottery kids." Micah admitted with an aloof smile. The corners of his eyes crinkled as he smiled even wider."Being blind kind of leaves the art department out, but pottery is something I can actually do." He gave a good natured laugh, and comprehension dawned on Zeke.

Oh. That's with the eye thing. He must have super hearing then... Zeke thought to himself, feeling actually quite smart for putting two and two together.

Sera

"Yup," she said cheerfully, "I'm a freshman this year. And I'm sure I can arrange something for after hours. Of course, that means you have to behave." Something told Sera that Zeke was the type of person that got into trouble often- yet who would always managed to wiggle out with a fair amount of charm.

After Micah introduced himself to Zeke, Sera arched a brow. "Oh, he's being modest," she deadpanned, "Pottery isn't just 'something he can actually do'. It's magical sometimes, I swear, what he can do with a block of clay, a spinning wheel, and some free time."

Sera just exuded happiness, and she couldn't help but compliment everything she found amazing. She skipped over to one of the clay cabinets, and hefted down a plastic wrapped block of white clay, letting it swing down onto her table, landing with a solid thunk.

"Well, Micah," she declared, "I think it's high time that Zeke learned one of the higher arts." She sectioned part of it off with a wire cutter and used it to roll a piece of clay in front of her without dirtying her gloves. "Because I need to finish my second portfolio piece today anyways, too. You might as well learn something, Zeke."

Sera was a little leery about using her ability around Zeke- it did freak some people out, which was always unfortunate. But then again, he seemed plenty cool with everything. He didn't even bat an eye at Micah's blindness. Sera usually went out of her way to treat him like most other people, because she knew he was completely, if not more, capable then everyone else. It aggravated her unduly when she noticed people who treated him as completely incapable of walking in a straight line.

Micah/Zeke

"Pft, behave is hardly in my vocabulary." Zeke responded, with a bit of a mischevious twinkle to his eyes. It earned a chuckle from Micah, who was somewhat red from the praise of Sera.

"Ah, well, thank you..."He mumbled in reply, clearly not used to the sound of such genuine...admiration. Most people who complimented him--with the rare exceptions of his sister, Professor X, and Amedeus--never really meant what they said. Micah could always sense a ''pitiment"--his dubbed term for a compliment powered by pity.

"I am rather good at learning things. Especially hands-on." Zeke replied enthusiastically, though again, with that mischevious twinkle in his eyes. Micah smirked; he had never meant someone so open with flirting, especially towards Sera. Most people were scared of her because of her rather alarming ability. It was very sad, because Micah thought of Sera as one of the nicest people he had ever met.  He heard a piece of clay thump on the table, making him smile widely as he easily sat down from across Zeke. Zeke blinked curiously; if the guy was blind, why wasn't he acting like it?

"My nickname is The Bat." Micah offered, seeming to read his mind as he stretched out his hands, his knuckles softly cracking in anticipation."Because that's how I sense where things are. Like a bat." He smiled widely, before seeming to think twice. Swiftly, he pulled two aprons hanging on a hook beside them, holdin gout one to Zeke.

"You might want an apron." Zeke smiled, before taking one and tossing his wild green eyes over to Sera.

"At least watch my first try, Ser." He whined, pouting his lower lip outwards."You can see me get dirty!" Zeke added with another laugh, and Micah stiffled in a chuckle.

Sera

Sera grabbed herself an apron, shaking her head to herself and a smile playing around the corner of her lips. Zeke's attention was endless. "You never stop, do ye?" she said lightly. And then because she wasn't entirely sure of the phrasing in English, Sera muttered something in Irish under her breath as she sliced another piece of clay off for Zeke to use.

Sera caught the twinkle in Zeke's startlingly green eyes, and grinned to herself. "I think I might be the last person you'd want help from when it comes to 'hands on' learning," she said wryly, but then reminded herself that Zeke wasn't aware of her ability yet.

Why haven't you just told him? It's not like you've ever cared before, right. Blast, it's all gone to you're head. You're bloody afraid to frighten him off, aren't you?

Sera pushed the plastic wrapped clay block to Micah. "If you feel like tinkering around some. Beautiful vase you just finished, by the way- lovely lines," she said cheerfully, the turning to Zeke. "Oh, I'll be watching you, all right. To make sure you don't stab yourself with a carving tool or something," she laughed, and swatted him on the arm for his intended comment.

"Before you start mucking about, there's one important rule to know," Sera's eyebrows scrunched down in as serious a face she ever got, "I take off my gloves to sculpt, which means that you absolutely positively must not get close enough that I might accidentally tough you. Capisce? Wouldn't want to accidentally ruin that pretty face of yours now, would I?" She added to the end, lightly.

(I'm thinking about having a flash forward, so to speak, for Zeke on Sera's graduation day...?)

Zeke

"Pretty? That's all I get? A pretty?" Was Zeke's reply, his depression that of faux defense. Micah was clearly amused by the boy as he began to shape the clay with the wire, a smirk on his lips. Zeke did become somewhat more serious, though.

And I thought my power was bad. Nothing like Sera's...and yet she's so happy. Zeke thought to himself, with a certain aspect of awe. And admiration. But then again, had she ever hurt anyone because of her ability?

"Cross my heart, I won't ever touch you. Or ah, bump in to you." He rephrased with that impish smile of his, undeniably fun loving in nature. Micah rolled his eyes, flicking a piece of clay at Zeke.

"Alright, enough flirting, Lover Boy." Micah announced, though it was kind of hard to take him seriously with his entertained grin."We're gunna start with the basics--"

"Wait. One question before we start." Zeke hastily interjected. Micah blinked, raising a brow. "That annoying little elf James isn't in art, is he?" Micah crinkled his nose slightly, before his expression became thoughtful.

"Hmm...I'm not sure. It's not a surprise you met him." He added, nodding before his eyes flickered in the general direction of Sera."Do you know if he is? I only have gym with him." Micah didn't sound very please with it, either.

((Ooh, that would be fun! I'm up for it. :))

Sera

Sera rolled her eyes. "Yes, only pretty. You're only what- thirteen? Maybe some day when you're older, you might actually be handsome," she teased. It was quite obvious that Zeke, who was already in some respect handsome, was going to be one of those magical people who aged well. Sera didn't have much hope for herself- 'cute' didn't really carry one far, so she reckoned.

Sera felt like smiling, Zeke was just so good natured about everything. No, nothing would frighten away that kid, she was sure. Especially when there was prospective flirting to be done. She began pulling off her gloves before Zeke interrupted with a question concerning James.

Upon hearing the name, Sera frowned slightly, her thin lips pressing together. She had attempted to reach out to James several times, but through a mixture of insults and annoying comments, he managed to convince her that it wasn't something within her realm of possibility. Sera genuinely tried to see the good in everyone- and she was sure James had some part of a innocent kid buried deep inside, but for whatever reason, he kept it tightly locked, and Sera abandoned her efforts.

"I'm sorry you had to run into him on your first day," she said honestly, "He can always be a little... rough." She relaxed into a smile and chuckled. "Little elf, that sounds incredibly apt. He doesn't take any art classes though, if you're worried. If you're really laying low on luck, however, you may end up with him in your English class. I heard him talking about how he got moved into the eight grade class."

She shrugged, "But the art room is a safe haven from most people." Sera removed her gloves completely, wiggling her fingers. It always felt so nice to take them off, when they were confined virtually twenty-four/seven. If you looked closely, as her hands passed through the air, things looked refracted for a second, like looking at a pencil in a glass of water.

"Welcome to the fabulous world of three dimensional art," Sera grinned, teasing Zeke about his usual mediums, "No more flat and boring pencil drawings." Comfortable that Micah would show Zeke through the basics of sculpting, Sera touched her chunk of clay in front of her, idly considering how to execute her design. The clay melted and twisted at her touch, but with a twitch of her fingers, it rippled out wards, edges curling. Sera's brow furrowed in concentration.

(Sweet! :) And ah, the last time I ever sculpted was like, four years ago, so please excuse my lack of pottery skill expertise xD)

Zeke

"Handsome. I like handsome a lot better." Zeke nodded in satisfaction, smiling brightly at one day being viewed as"handsome". Especially someone as great and cute as Sera...

But it's not like you could ever be with anyone. That voice of his broke through his contentness like cold glass, piercing and inescapable. No one could love a murderer. Subconsiously, he winced, as someone pinched him very hard on the shoulder.

"Alright, you're gunna wanna cut your clay block into a smaller size." Micah's cheerful--and encouraging voice--broke through Zeke's trembling reverie. He managed a smile, and nodded.

"Duh. Right, of coarse. I so knew that." It was going to be hard to keep up the facade of masks, but Zeke assumed over time it would get easier. Or at least, he hoped that.

(Do you  mind a skip to lunch, or the night or whatever? Or would you rather continue on? I don't mind either way :) )

((Sorry for the delay! I swear, it seems like the world is intent upon keeping me from posting- Everytime I've tried to sit down, something pops up. Ah, life. Haha, it's okay about the sculpting thing. Almost everything I know about it is from observation only. :P A skip would be fine, it'd keep things from dragging on too much. I Think Ill fast forward to the night, with them in their dorms, if that's alright with you. Maybe they can do something fun, like sneak out. ;) Also speaking of skipping, when are you thinking about doing the skip to Sera's graduation?))

Tristan/Sera

It was slightly past curfew, and Tristan was exhausted. A full day of almost constant social interaction-- which was pretty much what life was living at school. He still wasn't quite used to it, and longed for the drawn out quiet stretches of time he'd get at home occasionally.

Or even the solitude of my hospital bed. It was nice to have a room to himself at the school, in the beginning, but now he had Zeke sharing it. Of course he couldn't complain-- there were much worse people he could've been stuck with, like James for instance. But still, having another person in the room was like entertaining a small crowd at times.

Tristan flopped backwards onto his bed, curls bouncing, and stretched his gangly limbs. He was early to bed, early to rise usually, so curfew worked out fine. "If you don't like to wake up early, I'll be quiet in the mornings," he said absently to Zeke.

Then, hearing something like a soft knock-- a probability, no doubt-- Tristan sat up, and looked towards the door. Just then, an actual knock sounded, very quiet and discreet. The probability generator in his mind came to the conclusion that the likelihood of Sera being the perpetrator was very high.

Tristan stumbled from his bed, and opened the door a crack, as soundlessly as possible. Sure enough, the slight Irish girl was at their door. "Sera," Tristan whispered, slightly confused, turning to look at Zeke as if he knew something about this. As he did, Sera pushed the door open further and slipped inside, looking breathless but excited, clutching papers in one hand.

"Good evening Tristan, Zeke," she said cheerfully.

Tristan looked at her nervously. "You do realize you're-"

"Breaking curfew? Entering a boy's room after hours? Yes, yes, I know," she said impatiently, brushing an unevenly cut lock of hair from her face, "But this is more important." She waved the papers, and then blinked, "Oh, sorry for intruding and everything," she added sheepishly.

[ Oh no it's fine life always gets a hold of us sometime ^.^ And yes, this skip is perfect! Especially with Sera and the sneaking out; you know Zeke very well ;) And I'm thinking that we can do scenes progressing in age. Like, right now Zeke is 13, and we don't have to really go in order. Like, once we're done with this we can go to Sera graduating. But, I think I'd also like a James and Amedeus squabble haha it's just so tempting! James could be annoying and what not, egging Amedeus about his oh so mysterious past (which I'm not really even sure of o.O) or we can do a scene where we get to know Micah more, and have an introduction on little Rose (who would be 9 at this time period haha). Just a few ideas of coarse ^.^ I really an enjoying this free for all plot thing xD )

Zeke

So far, the day was a success. One that Zeke was reluctant to accept. Things shouldn't have been going easy for him; if anything, this should have been hard. Wasn't that what he deserved? Hard? Instead he had only met amazing people. Besides James, of coarse, but if that was the only struggle Zeke was going to face, he was going to begin hating himself more and more each day.

Even sharing a room was going to be...difficult. Maybe that's what Zeke deserved; a roommate who would spread how messed up he really was. But, even that was a challenge. Tristan was nothing short of perfect. Quiet, reserved, and most of all, not inquisitive. No, the boy seemed off in his own world half the time, occasionally saying things that were nothing more than common courtesy.

"If you don't like to wake up early, I'll be quiet in the mornings," Tristan said absently to him, sprawled out on his bed. He looked very tired, and for a moment, Zeke wondered how he would react the next morning upon seeing himself curled into a fetal position in the corner of the room. Zeke was dreading tonight; no doubt the memories would come back to him, like they always did. The smell of smoke, the burn in his throat as he tried to stop the flames, only creating more in the process...

Stop. Zeke sharply advised himself, his fingers squeezing more tightly around his pencil. Naturally, he was doodling, always a sure way to distract himself. You can think about it tonight. Tristan doesn't need me having an emotional break down just yet.

Before Zeke could answer, a soft knock came to the door. Tristan blinked, and looked over at Zeke as if he knew who was there. Zeke shrugged, now curious. Which was pointless, because at the door was an excited looking Sera who walked right in.

Immediately, Zeke felt his chest lesson, and his lips relax into a smile. Okay, so this was perfect timing. Sera would maybe make this transition easier. Not keep the nightmares away, but rather prolong the night that was so rapidly approaching.

"Whatcha got there, Ser?" Zeke asked, amused at her apology and Tristan's flabbergasted expression. One thing Zeke was learning was that the boy hardly ever changed. Zeke was determined to change that, alright.

((I love all of your ideas. :) I'd love to get to know Micah more- and a younger Rose- that ought to be entertaining. I was just thinking- maybe we could even do some small Zeke/Erin scenes that could theoretically take place between the time skips we did in the original time line. I kind of miss playing her. :) I'm really enjoying this too- making backstories like this builds so much depth. ^^))

Tristan/Sera

Tristan knit his fingers together anxiously. As far as he knew, it was against the rules to be out after dark, and for people to be in the wrong dorm room. He didn't like to think of the consequences-- he had only been here for two weeks, and Zeke for only a day. What would the Professor think of them if Sera got caught in there?

Sera, for her credit, looked completely unaware that she was bending any rules. Her eyes glittered brightly with excitement, and Zeke's question just seemed to make her grin more broadly.

"So, I was on the local news bulletin when I saw this announcement-" she flourished the papers again, "and Central Park is hosting an outdoors showing of the Magic Flute. The tickets are, like, fifty dollars, but we can probably sneak in, and it's only tonight," she finished, a little out of breath.

Tristan, who had fretfully wondering where this was all going, perked up immediately at the mention of the performance. "I happened to know that Tristan's room is on the side with the fire escape, so that's why I thought of coming here first- but you should both come, it'll be absolutely amazing," she added.

Tristan looked uncertain. It was a fine line he might be willing to cross if good music was involved. "Please say you'll come with," she said, with earnest eyes. It was kind of spur of the moment, even for her, but she was feeling strangely bold. Bold enough to sneak out of school at night.
