(Oh booooy haha :) )

Zeke

One time, when Zeke was a small boy, the Italian All Boys Orphanage he lived in his whole entire life until he was adopted, held a Christmas party for all the potential families. He doesn't remember much, except for telling Santa that he wanted some more paper and crayons. There was hardly ever any paper; only for the adults and "important" things for work. Maybe that's why he was so good at painting; that mostly what he did until he got an entire sketchbook of his own. Besides the gift asking of Santa, he remembered the elves that attended the Christmas party. And that, was what James reminded Zeke of. Of an Italian elf, though way more...mischevious.

"Mutually exclusive...?"Zeke repleated, somewhat dubiously as he raised a brow. What grade was this dude in? He glanced at both Tristan and Amedeus uncertainly; neither seemed very pleased by the boys appearance. Zeke's gaze went back to the boy, before he easily smiled.

"Um, yeah. I'm Zeke. Nice to meet ya, James." He held out his hand, trying to be friendly enough. Amedeus' gaze seemed darker than before, almost a glare at James, before he dissapeared entirely. Yes, dissapeared like a ghost. It was enough to make Zeke pull his hand away, shocked.

"Whoa! Where'd you go?" He asked, more amazed than scared as is smile broadened. He heared a small chuckle from behind him, undoubtedly, De's.

"I can turn invisible." De simply explained, reappearing behind James in a phantom like matter."James can smell emotion. Right? How does my annoyance smell?" Clearly, De didn't mind showing his dislike for the guy.

Tristan/James

Tristan figured that fate must really hate him. There was no getting rid of James now, especially that he had just latched onto Zeke. He tried to warn Zeke with a look before he engaged James in conversation, but it was too late. James looked over at Tristan triumphantly, and arched one of his already exaggerated eyebrows. Tristan rolled his eyes.

Despite being the same age as Tristan, James acted with the confidence and superiority that belonged to a senior. An egotist in an eleven year old's body. It was obvious that, in his way, James was enjoying the attention. James didn't even flinch when Amedeus reappeared behind him, but the cheerful and mischievious grin he wore melted off in a second to scowl at De.

"Oh, go and ruin a good surprise, De," he pouted, but almost as instantly as it disappeared, the grin reappeared. Being around James gave Tristan a colassal head ache most of the time. Mostly because the kid was so chaotic, mulitple probabilities sprang up around him instantaneously. Just thinking about the probabilities made Tristan dizzy, and he closed his eyes, putting his hand to his head for a moment.

Meanwhile, James sniffed the air pretentiously. "Apple cider vinegar," he answered Amedeus's question even though it was phrased to not be. He zeroed his attention back on Zeke, with a curious expression on his face. "Okay, fair's fair. You now know every one of our abilities now that De is done showing off, so it's only right you fess up. And if you don't tell, I'll simply name every single power I know of until I smell recognition, capisce?"

Amedeus/Zeke

Zeke was now definitely picking up on how James wasn't exactly welcome. The boy was a bit...arrogant. Well, so was Zeke, but in a different way. Everything about James screamed "I'm-better-than-you", and Zeke didn't have much respect for people like that. Even more so when he noticed Tristan appearing to have a headache.

It must be because of all the probabilities he was seeing... Zeke thought, putting two and two together as he glanced over at Tristan. He then went back to examining James and his haughty stance, with Amedeus scowling distinctly at him.

"Go away, James. Your nosiness is not appreciated." He snapped, sounding almost threatening as he vanished once more. Zeke wasn't alarmed this time; if anything, he could adjust quickly. He laughed at De's snappish retorts, before a lazy grin spread across his face as he took a step closer to James. Zeke towards over him a good five inches. Maybe even more.

"You wanna know my power, huh?" He repeated, raising a golden brow. Amedeus flickered besides Tristan, still not enjoying James forced presence. So. Annoying! He watched Zeke address the much smaller boy, somewhere curious how he of all people would deal with James.

"Then you can go ahead and guess all the powers you want." Zeke proposed, his smile quirking upwards in that teenage boy way."Because nobody for forces anything out of me. Not even you, Jim." He smiled even wider at the nickname, enjoying this little challenge. Literally--little!

Tristan/James

Tristan was tense and nervous. There were minimal people in the hall, but they lingered, curious as to what the outcome would be. Tristan hated this. He hated any form of altercations, physical or otherwise. Fighting, arguing, it was all foreign and unpleasant to him. But he had to admit, there was something vaguely enjoyable seeing James facing someone who wouldn't put up with any if his drama.

James didn't budge an inch, but he tensed up. If need be, he could bolt out of there in a jiffy. James turned and stuck his tongue out at Amedeus. He wasn't very happy with the change of events, because obviously these people weren't going to do anything he asked. He held up his hands as if to ward off Zeke and De..

"Woah, no need to get all hostile, guys. I'm just an annoying little kid, right?" he rolled his eyes, a sarcastic gesture that looked out of place on his innocent cherub's face. "Besides, Zeke, I was never going to force anything out of you," he tapped his nose, "But I'll find out soon enough, no worries." he said breezily, ignoring Zeke's monicker for him. No way was he going to give him the satisfaction of reacting to that.

"Oh, and by the way," he leaned in closer, almost conspiratorally and lowered his voice, "It's really uncool to pick on younger kids. At least, that's what some people seem to be thinking of." He smiled sunnily, his facial expressions almost always out of sync with his tone, or his words.

Tristan sighed, and raised his eyes to the ceiling. "James, why don't you go to your class or something? Please?" James pouted his lips and tilted his head to the side as if considering.

"Nah. I think I'll stick around with you people for a bit," he said casually. Despite his irritating demeanor and over emoting, James was really quite desperate for a bit of company. He couldn't help but feel that the school wasn't so different from home. No one wanted to be around him in both places.

(Oh man, this is impossible! You have actually made me feel sorry for James haha :) )

Amedeus/Zeke

"Pft. I'm a lot of things, Jim, but I'm not hostile." Zeke remarked with a snort, his grin dancing upon his lips like the choppy waves of the ocean. He blinked at the implication of Zeke picking on him, feeling slight offense.

"And I'm most certainly not a bully."  His eyes flickered the dangerous color of green. The kind of green that moss was when you stepped into it on a hike gone wrong. They sparkled, though at the metion of him leaving. So far, he did not like James.

"I don't want you sticking around." Amedeus bluntly replied, not looking so happy with the situation himself. His arms wre crossed, and his gaze--which was already dark to begin with--was to the point of glowering."You always analyze people and it's insulting. And yes, annoying."

"Are there seriously no chicks here?" Zeke abruptly asked, smiling a bit more widely. So far, it seemed like he had only met guys. He had already spent most of his life other males, and being thirteen, he just really wanted to meet some girls. Babes, if you will. Amedues seemed to be snapped out of his irritation, if only for a moment, to answer Zeke's question.

"Well, mostly everyone is hanging ut in their dorms, since classes are off schedule. They always are in the beginning."He explained, before he resumed his glare at James."You're still here?"

"I'm sure Jimmy gets all the ladies."Zeke remarked, his voice athin line between teasing and just plain out insulting."I say wejust go see this library, huh?"

((Haha, I'm feeling bad for him too. I think it's because he has absolutely no friends or no one to really talk to. And then the worst part is in the original roleplay, and he's still friendless even after all these years. Ugh... I get too sentimental over these characters. (Especially Zeke. :P He makes me cry when I draw him all angsty.)

Since I've only got two guy characters, would it be fine with you if I created a girl for now too? ))

Tristan/James

James stuck out his chin slightly, defiantly. He smelled Zeke's offense at being called a bully, but he could also smell the older guy's dislike- that rotten vegetable smell. What was it that he did wrong, every single time? "Your words, not mine," he pointed out to Zeke.

At Amedeus's words though, James looked over at him, a scowl set in his features. "It's what I do. It's like trying to tell a telepath not to read minds. It's not my fault you daisies can't handle the truth," he said, throwing his hands up in the air. A trip to scope out the new kid had turned into a full on defensive battle on his part.

James didn't feel like analyzing people were annoying. Every one always said they valued the truth, right? But when they learned, all of a sudden they change their minds? He crossed his arms, and the scowl melted off of his face, turning into a sigh that sounded much more defeated than he would've liked. It was obvious, as Zeke started up a new topic, that they were intent on driving him away no matter how.

"Yes," he snapped at Amedeus, "I'm still here. Because I'm pretty sure all the students here have a liscense to stand in the hall, moron." Ugh, he wasn't going to get anywhere talking to them now, he was sure. People didn't seem to get that they never needed to vocally display their distaste of him- he could smell it before they were even completely aware.

"My name is James. Not Jim, not Jimmy, kay? Fine, I get it. I'm the irritating annoying kid and you don't want me around. And Zeke-?" James jabbed a finger in the Italian boy's direction, "Next time, find another outlet for all that pain, guilt and angst you've got stored up inside." He had smelled it the moment he met Zeke- underneath the pleasant amiable exterior.

James turned, trying to feel pleased, but it had been a low jab. Tristan noticed what James said, but sensed that the small kid would pick a huge fight if they stayed any longer, so he nervously twiddled his fingers and attempted to move them along, "Uh, we should probably just go now. To the library." He glanced over at James, but he seemed intent on leaving this time, not very eager to stick around.

Zeke

"Sheesh, what's up his butt?" Zeke asked as the little boy stormed off, not in the mood for their company anymore. He was beginning to feel sorry for James--just the inklings of sympathy--before he pointed out the feelings that Zeke couldn't hide. Not with him anyways. He plucked at his bracelet anxiously, before shrugging.

"Whatevs. I mean, we should just go to the library, right?" He proposed, while he glanced over at Amedeus, who looked very...surly.

"Hmph. Serves him right. Always stating his unwanted opinions." He expained in an annoyed manner, running a hand through his hair. Zeke got the impression that it took a lot to annoy someone as laid back as Amedeus. So James must of been way up there with annying people.

(Yes, of coarse! :) And awwwwh don't cry haha I would love to see some drawings of him (: )

((Ah, none of them are really finished... :) And here's my new girl charrie.))

Name: Sera McCarthy

Age: 14

Ability: Sera has the ability to manipulate matter. Her ability is largely controlled by her hands, but she does not yet have the power to limit herself, so what she touches with her bare hands usually gets warped beyond recognition. To safeguard herself, Sera always has on a pair of gloves, made of a special nannite fabric that prevent her from harming anyone or severely messing anything up. Appearance: Sera is slight, but of average height, with warm light brown skin characteristic with her Bohemian and Indian roots. Her hair is a dark brown with dark blonde highlights, and it straggles down a few inches above her shoulders. It's usually half pinned up with a random assortment of barrettes, and with a few stray braids and feathers. Sera has a heart shaped face, thin curling lips, and a slightly protruding nose. Her eyes are almond shaped and a dark gold color, and fairly wide spaced. She usually wears worn jeans in questionable conditions, colorful shirts and sneakers. Sera also always wears a necklace with a silver pendant on the end.

Personality: Sera is a bright and whimsical person. Everything she says is often in jest, so taking her seriously isn't going to get you anywhere but circles. Sarcasm bites her comments occasionally- something that's emphasized by the slight Irish brogue she grew up speaking in during part of her life, mostly noticeable by the slurring of her 'o's and other vowels. She is an eternal optimist whether it's intentional or not- Sera just naturally sees the better sides of things. She even took her ability- which some people would've considered a burden, and used it for art. Even though she's airy and untamable, Sera has an intense Good Samaritan syndrome- she can always be counted on taking care of animals or people who have problems, no matter what their age. She also is strictly Catholic, as she was raised, but it's not something she announces.

Bio: Before she was found by the Professor, Sera was a military brat. She was born in Germany, the youngest of two other older brothers, but her family didn't stay there long and they moved to Turkey for the first two years of her life. Eventually though, Sera's mother tired of the moving, an settled down in the Irish country side where Sera grew up mostly. When Sera's powers manifested, it was during a bike race she was having with her brothers. Frightened and startled, she lost control of the bike and crashed into a tree, breaking her clavicle and spraining her knee. Luckily, Professor X was able to locate her and bring her to the school before she did any damage beyond that of material items. She's been at the school for two years.

Tristan/Sera

Tristan was glad when James finally decided that bothering him wasn't worth his time- he could sense ominous probabilities concerning him, though. Although he didn't care for the diminutive boy, Tristan didn't share the intense dislike Amedeus seemed to have for him. Tristan figured, since both Amedeus and James had been at the school longer than he had, something had happened regarding them before.

"Ah, yes, the library," Tristan said eagerly- anything to get away from here, "Sorry about that, by the way, Zeke. I, uh, I'm sure the school get's better," he added earnestly.

At least, Tristan assumed it would get better for Zeke. School had always been a downhill experience for Tristan. The only person so far who didn't give him a wide berth was Amedeus- and hopefully Zeke too now. He didn't doubt that Zeke would make other friends. He was witty, and easy to get along with- that is, if you weren't James.

When they finally got to the library, Tristan let out a sigh of relief. Any venture through the halls was akin to strolling through a football game blindfolded. And they had made it to the library without any more mishaps, either, which was a major plus. The library, unfortunately, was rather packed.

It was the beginning of a new semester, so students were flooding in, and classes were off kilter. So, most people gravitated to the few recreational parts of the school, which included the library. Later in the year though, most people wouldn't be caught dead in it. He winced, and put a hand to his ear, hearing a tidal wave of voices when there were only whispers and the occasional raised voice in real life.

The only visible table that wasn't crowded with half a dozen people was occupied only by Sera- a girl Tristan knew vaguely, only because she was friendly and helped him to some of his classes the first day. She was nice, and never made fun of the way he spooked at unheard noises or talked to people who weren't there.

His decision was largely made for him when Sera called the trio over to her table in a chirpy whisper. "You guys can sit here, if you'd like," she offered, eyeing Zeke curiosly.

(I think I'm oing to have Tristan's assumption be right; I'm sure it would it in James charcter to have him have said something particularly nasty about Amedeus's insecurity about his unknown past. Is that okay? And I love the new character by the way! :) )

Amedeus/Zeke

The library was, to Zeke's surprise, crowded. He wasn't much of a reader--unless they were picture books about art or quick fiction novels like The Great Gatsby--and the place was bustling with activity. It was a wide and open space, being on an upper floor. They passed the circulation desk (with a rather sever looking librarian), while the farthest wall was all window, so you could peer down below to the busy New York setting of traffic and the neverending lines of people. Faintly, Zeke wondered if there was a seperate library for the younger children in the school. Most likely, for the one he was in now has many nooks for readings, lines of fancy computers in the far right corner, and of coarse, lines of books that Zeke doubted he would ever seriously consider reading.

"Usually it's crowded during the beginning of the school year." Came Amedeus's voice from behind him. Zeke almost jumped; the dude was so quiet, he practically forgot that he was there. De seemed back to his usual quiet, soft-spoken self, but Zeke didn't forget the look of burning dislike he had held for James earlier. He made a mental note not to ever p.is.s De off. Ever.

"You guys can sit here, if you'd like," Came a voice nearby. Zeke was so distracted by the architecture of the library itself--seriously, a whole wall made entirely of glass? The ceiling high arched and spacious? And were those stairs to the far left?--he didn't notice the table that held a fairly empty space around it. And a girl.

Wow. Zeke thought, his green eyes landing on her instantly. She was obviously foreign like him; Zeke suspected that all people from different contries held a certain aura to them. This girl certainly did. Not to mention the slight tilt to her words, the accent not strictly American. Zeke's Italian twinge had faded almost entirely, but he knew he didn't speak the same way other people did. Ten years in Venice was a hard thing to scrub away from his diction, especially when he spoke the native language. The thing that caught Zeke's attention the most though, were the girls eyes.

They were a dark gold color, the kind of shade that Zeke had so often watch reflect off of the water back home. He had to blink a few times, before offering he a very wide grin and barely puffing his chest out, as if he were a stag trying to impress a potential mate.

"Hello, miss. Are you this kind to everyone who walks in, or is it just me?" Zeke replied right away, placing his sketch book on the table and leaning on the edge with his palms, his grin still painted onto his face."My name is Zeke Braverman." He smoothly introduced, before taking a seat."Pleasure to meet you."

"Hello, Sera." De greeted, the ghost of a smirk on his lips as he also took a seat. He had produced a notebook from a nearby shelf, one with a  new leather binder."I'm glad we found some seats." And even better, by Sera. Besides Tristan, one of the few people that didn't whisper about Amedeus constantly.

((Yes, that's fine. It makes sense. :) And thanks. ^^))

Tristan/Sera

Tristan sat next to Amedeus, after mumbling a semi-greeting, which Sera acknowledged affectionately. She stared at Zeke in a curious way, as if memorizing him. Which was actually her goal, in fact. She always tried remembering the new students. Zeke's charming grin was also helping. A smile curled on her lips. It wasn't often people were polite to her.

"Don't flatter yourself, Zeke Braverman," she said cheerfully, "Welcome to Marvel School, by the way." She tapped her pencil against the table, still staring unabashedly at Zeke, as if figuring out a puzzle. "Venice!" she blurted out after a few moments, and pointed her pencil at Zeke, "I'm right, aren't I. You Italians, so very easy to spot."

Tristan made a sort of suprised noise- he didn't know Zeke wasn't from around here. It hadn't really occured to him. Besides, that sort of stuff was never apparent to him, unless it was actually physically said out loud. Sera eyed Tristan with an amused expression.

"I swear, you two are utter gobshites sometimes," she said to Tristan and Amedeus in an affectionate manner. "They probably haven't properly talked to you yet. But nonetheless, you've found yourself some good company, Mr. Zeke Braverman." Tristan smiled at her good natured teasing.

"It's not like we need his entire life story on the first day," he did point out, to defend himself somewhat.

(My apologies! School has been very busy, and then I went out of town this weekend! I've been itching to write out a response for ages though!)

Zeke

"Impressive." Zeke commented on Sera's unacanny ability to tell where he had come from. His green eyes twinkled a little more on her next comment; the "Italians are easy to spot" one. He scoffed, his grin broadening.

"Well, of coarse I'm easy to spot." Zeke explained, setting his palm on his chest. "I mean, am I hard to miss really?" He asked, flashing a flirtatious smile. For a thirteen year old, he thought he was a pretty good flirter. But then again, all his techniques had come from American sit-coms, since he was surrounded by the male population a good ten years of his life.

"I guess not." Amedeus piped in thoughtfully, his brooding gaze flickering over Zeke, before he shrugged, glancing over at Tristan."Gobshites. I'm adding another tally mark." He informed in mock seriousness, opening his book to a page titled "How Many Times Sera Says The Word 'Gobshite'". Zeke could see almost half a page full of them.

"I don't know where you're from, but I'm guessing...um...somewhere in Europe. Or you know, my dreams." Zeke really couldn't help himself at this point. Sera was just too pretty not to compliment, and he couldn't stop smiling. "Yep. I'm pretty sure you're from my dreams." He confirmed with a nod, while De snorted into his journal slightly.

((It's fine, I totally can empathize. School is most definitely keeping me extremely busy too. :))

Sera

Sera rolled her eyes. "And it appears you've got the Italian ego to boot," she teased, but flushed slightly because of the attention. Sera was largely unused to any form of flirtation- mostly because the people she mostly hung around were those she felt like needed company, or needed a good dose of practical cheerfullness. Which Zeke already seemed plenty of.

Sera's lips curled in amusement at the sight of Amedeus's notebook with the tallies, and Tristan, who had procured a math book from the shelf lifted it slightly to hide his grin. "Oh, you scoundrel," she said, flicking her pencil in Amedeus's direction, where it hit his shoulder and fell to the floor.

At Zeke's continued flirtation, however, she laughed. "And you're a scoundrel too, aren't ye? But since you asked, I'm from a bit o'everywhere. Mostly Ireland. Spent a year in Italy though, so I had an advantage in pegging you." She said cheerfully. "I'm no dream walker though, so I don't think I'd ever be in the realm of your noggin anytime."

Sera was itching to ask Zeke what his ability was, but she knew for a fact that some people had traumatizing events tied to their powers- she considered herself lucky, actually. No one had gotten harmed, or alienated her. Tristan's parents had put him in a mental ward, and Amedeus didn't even know his past.

The Lord only knows what Zeke might have gone through.

(Thank you :) )

Zeke

"Red is a lovely color on you, Sera." Zeke added as the girl flushed. One thing Zeke was learning was that it was a very nice feeling, making a girl blush. Especially a pretty one like Sera. He took note of the gloves she was wearing--it looked like biker gloves, almost--but brushed it off. It must have been something to do with her ability, and if anything, he wanted to keep the topic away from that.

"Have you never met a girl, Zeke? They are quite common." De informed, a teasing sparkle to the darkness of his eyes. The boy was already doing math problems, and Zeke wrinkled his nose at the sight of them.

"Nope. I grew up in an All Boys Orphanage before coming to the States." Zeke informed, but didn't elaborate as he flipped open his sketchbook. It wasn't the one given to him in Italy; no, this one was American in design and company, filled about one fourth of the way with landscapes, and a few doodles of people."And I forgot; I'm actually going to have to be doing math here." He didn't sound too enthusiastic, before his gaze flickered up to Sera.

"You good at math, Sera? Because I'm sure I could use a tutor. And," He added, wiggling his brows,"Not just for math." Zeke dropped a wink, and the corners of De's mouth twitched up.

"If anyone could be your math teacher, it would be Tristan. He is crazy smart." He explained honestly, nodding as he smiled one of his rare smiles over to Tristan. Zeke raised a brow, considering it.

"Well, I'm so bad at math, I might just need two tutors." He nodded at the seriousness this suggestion was, before he glanced over towards Sera."Your eyes are the exact color of the sunset shining off Venice. Did you know that?"

Sera

Ah, well, at least Zeke volunteered some information about himself. Sera was glad she hadn't asked about his past- she couldn't imagine growing up in an orphanage, without parents, without any real family. And it also partially explained Zeke's merciless flirting, which she enjoyed, but took it lightly.

"Sorry to disappoint on the math front, but I'm hardly passing myself. Not the brightest bulb, but I make up for it in charisma," she smiled, and then tapped her chin with a contemplative look. "Hm, let's see here. I suppose I can give you a much needed lesson on how to behave around ladies," she teased.

"But De's right about Tristan. Actually, come to think of it, they're both geniuses in their own right. Now I have someone to wallow in average math grades with," she added. Tristan was bent over a piece of looseleaf with a pencil, his large wire frame glasses balancing on the end of his nose. Although mostly obscured, Sera could see the corners of his mouth lift at the praise.

Sera raised her eyebrows at Zeke. She was pleasantly baffled, and paused for a moment as her brain scrambled to find a response. "Quite the poetic fellow, aren't you now? No, not poetry," she corrected herself, her gaze finding Zeke's sketchpad, "Art. An artist." She brightened as she found something in common with him.

"Have you seen the art room here yet?" she asked excitedly, her hands flat on the table. The art room at the school was incredibly well stocked, and if there was any way to make Zeke feel more comfortable at the school, she felt like the art room was the place. Tristan made a guilty face. "Some tour guides you two are," she sighed.
