Okay, so here's one idea.
The year is 2089, and the world is falling apart. The system is so broken, it’s pretty much nonexistent. Currency is resources, food, dru.gs, and services. Gangs have sprouted up everywhere, and the government is basically reduced to a corrupt army of ineffectual thugs.
A small band of mercenaries were hired to steal something from the army, and it went wrong. The gang split up, agreeing to meet back at their base once they lose their tails. One of the members manages to lose them by ducking into the sewers below the city.
He wanders the tunnels, heading back in the general direction of his base, until he hears the soldiers. They’re searching the tunnels, and he’s surrounded. Not able to go back or onward, he crawls through a pipe that’s barely big enough to fit through, hoping it doesn’t lead to a dead end.
It doesn’t. The pipe leads into an underground building that he didn’t know was there.
Wandering around, he tries to find a way out. No one seems to be about, but the place is obviously used. It’s clean, unlike most places, and there are no rats. The walls are concrete, most are painted white. The floor is bright shiny tile.
He opens a door a ways in, and looks into a perfectly square room. It’s small, pale grey concrete, with a twin-sized bed with a white metal frame in one corner, a toilet and sink in another, with a curtain around it. Next to the bed is a wooden nightstand with three drawers in it.
In the center of the room is a girl.
*evil laugh* Okay, so he doesn’t know it yet, but the girl is different. She’s never left the building, and she’s spent her whole life being experimented on. She was created by a secret organization to have certain powers and stuff. Also, she’s mute.
I want the girl, and I’ll also play one or two of the guy’s gang buddies and the people who made the girl, when they show up. You get the guy and some of his gang buddies if you want them, and whatever other minor characters you wanna make.
Dedicated, literate, no screwing around with the world too much, and I don’t do mature se.x scenes, kay? :p
I've got a couple others if you don't want to do this one. I collect 1x1 ideas lately. XD
(( Oh wow I reeeeeeeally love this idea! I can't wait to do it!! I'll probably post my skellie sometime later :-D ))
Name: Reese Saunders
Appearance: Reese stands around 6 feet in height. His skin is naturally tanned by the sun, and he is very muscular, but not overly so. He has chocolate brown eyes that have a golden tint in the sunlight. His hair is dirty blonde, and kinky. He has light freckles on his cheeks. He wears black or camo, so he stays hidden on missions. In honor of his gang, he wears a green athletic band around his left wrist. He has a tattoo on his right shoulder in honor of his little sister who died because of being shot by a rival gang.
Personality: Reese acts like he's brave, but in reality he's a bit of a scaredy cat. He prefers to keep to himself, he only joined the gang after his sister died in her honor, and so he could protect the rest of his family. He has a kind heart, and is extremely loyal. He would lay his life on the line if it meant saving a friend or family member. At times he can be sweet, but it is rare that he shows that side.
Bio: His litter sister died after being shot by a gang member. Soon after, he joined a rival gang in her honor. The rest is TBD :D
((Awesome! I porbably won't be on much today, my head hurts. >.<))
Name: Tikvah (Teek-vah)
Appearance: She's tall, 5'7", and willowy. Her skin is pale because she has been underground her entire life. Her eyes are a deep, dark brown with an icy blue ring around the outside of her right iris, and a spring green one around the left. Her eyebrows are thin and a dark gold-red.
Her face is narrow and pointed, with a long, thin nose and sharp chin. Her head is completely bald. The shape of her eyes is slanted, making her look almost Asian, though the rest of her face leans towards European.
She's wearing a simple, shapeless white dress that falls just above the knee, and no shoes.
Personality: TBD (*maniacal laughter*)
Bio: She was created in the underground facility by a small group of scientists. They took good care of her, even if they did thousands of experiments and tests on her.
(( yay!!! so excited, you can start :-D ))
Tikvah twirled a bright yellow tea rose in-between her thumb and forefinger in one hand, while the other held a pencil. She sketched the rose's petals lightly onto a page of her notebook. The rose was from a vase on her nightstand. They always gave her something new to draw, see, feel, or smell. Yesterday there had been a little white mouse, but they told her that he couldn't stay and they had to take him back to his own room. She'd named him anyway. Connor, after the man who brought her her meals.
Hearing a sound in the distance, she looked up at the door, expecting someone to come in. When nobody did imediately, she looked back down at her paper.
Reese was on the run. He and the rest of his gang were split up. Their mission was for them to steal the weapons from the army, to use them in fights between other rival gangs. Once they had stepped into the camp of the army, sirens blared and lights flashed. They had all sprinted off in various directions, and a few who were too slow were captured. After this escapade, Reese was truly terrified. He continued running until his legs felt like jello, his breath rapid and ragged, and his heart pulsing from his chest. Up ahead, he noticed an underground sewer. He quickly loosened the grate, and jumped down. There were a series of tunnels. Deciding this was his best option, he took a sharp left and walked and walked and walked until he came to a square door. He leaned on it while he caught his breath and rested.
Tikvah looked up again, hearing another sound. Those were definitely footsteps. Frowning slightly, she twirled the flower faster. They'd stopped right outside the door, but it remained shut. Who was it, and why weren't they coming in? Sometimes she wished she could make it open herself, but she didn't know how. The door always opened for everyone else.
It was a few minutes before Reese finally caught his breath. He turned around and jiggled the door knob. Holding his breath, the door swung open, revealing a sterile room with white concrete walls, and tile flooring. In the middle of the room, was a girl. The only furniture in this room was a bed, a nightstand, a toilet, and a sink. It appeared as if she was given the bare necessities. He stepped into the room timidly, and looked at the girl. She was strikingly beautiful, paticularly her different colored eyes. "Who are you?" Reese whispered in awe.
Who was that? Tikvah stared at the young man, confused for a moment.
Snapping back to her senses, she spelled out her name quickly, then stood up, clutching her sketchbook to her chest and sticking her pencil behind her ear.
Reese watched intently she wrote her name down, and showed it to him. Tikvah... what a unique, yet beautiful name! He smiled, "I'm Reese. What are you doing here? Can... you uh, talk?" Reese questioned carefully, hoping that he wouldn't offend her in any way. He continued to look around the room. Why would a person even want to live in here?
Tikvah nodded. She didn't know that he meant vocally; the scientists had always refered to her sign language as 'talking,' so that's what she though it was.
'What do you mean?' She signed, her hands a blur. 'Why wouldn't I be here?'
(( Boink boik bloooooo...))
Reese narrowed his eyes, he was confused by Tikvah's sign language. Her hands were moving so fast that even if he did know sign language, he didn't think he would be able to comprehend her. All Reese could do was shrug, to show Tikvah that she was confused. He had been taught sign language back in middle school, but he could hardly remember it. He looked around the room, not understanding why anyone would live in here unless they were forced to. "Are you okay?" he asked hopefully, now doubtful of Tikvah's speaking abilities.
Tikvah nodded slowly, confused. She chewed on her lip for a moment, observing him, then set the book down carefully on the nightstand and crossed the room to him. Looking him up and down, she circled him as of examining a specimine.
Reese watched Tikvah intuitively as she examined him every which way. Something was so fascinating about her. The way she moved, the way she looked.. It was purely unique. He pointed back toward the door. He jiggled the door knob, only finding it to be locked. "Am I trapped?" he asked cautiously.
Trapped? Tik didn't know that word. He seemed to be trying to get out, though, so she thought she got the meaning. She started to sign a responce again, but remembered his expression last time. For some reason he didn't understand her. But he had understood her when she wrote.
She crossed the room quickly and grabbed up her sketchbook, flipping to the last page. 'It never moves for me.' She scrawled quickly, her writing neat and loopy.
Reese continued to jiggle the doorknob, becoming more and more frustrated. The door just would not budge. He glanced over at Tikvah who was now holding up her sketchbook. He read her unique loopy writing and nodded slowly. "Great! Now I'm trapped here!" he grumbled, now annoyed. "Does anyone feed you?" Reese asked, hoping Tikvah would understand. He made motions pretending like he was putting a fork from a plate into his mouth.
