Ahhhhh! I was just thinking "We need a good guy/girl to balance out the squad!" Your character is perfect for that!
((I feel more accomplished than I probably should at that. XD))
xD *hands Anne the Nobel Peace Prize*
Thank you, thank you. I'd like to thank my computer and my keyboard, for holding up and supporting me through all those nights of fast and furious typing wars, along with the refresh button, abused at my desperate attempts to to respond to the next poster.
Lololol oh god. Tessssssssaaaaa wherefore art thou??
Tessa seems like a no show. Do ya'll wanna start?
Anyone else have an opinion?
Go ahead. She can join if in if and when shee comes back (if you're cool with that).
(Once Sorla approves, I'll make starting post. Warning: I'm on my mobile, so the post is gonna be a wall of text.)
(LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES! We'll begin right before they go missing.)
Jared awoke with a start, cold sweat dripped down his forehead. He could still feel the terror in the back of his mind, and it lingered there like a bad smell.
Another nightmare. That's the third one this week. He thought to himself before falling back into bed. Gazing at his clock, he checked to see what time it was.
6:19 A.M. Time to get up. He was a few minutes earlier than his alarm clock, but that gave him afew more minutes to get ready.
The rest of his morning was a blur. Showering, dressing, eating, and brushing his teeth. By the time he was in the car it was 7:04 A.M. Four minutes off his regular time getting out of the house. Turning his Ford out of the driveway, he melded himself into the usual rush hour traffic of Arkan City. He was lucky he lived so close to the police station, otherwise he'd be late. Pulling into the parking lot, he got out of his car and entered the building. Immediately, Sargeant Mathers approached him.
"Good morning sir, Narco(Narcotics aka dru.gs) picked up where a huge stash of coke might be. Can you have Hound Unit up and at 'em by 9?" Mathers asked, handing Jared a sealed manila envelope.
"Gotcha." Jared replied, short with words as always. Heading to the stairs, he climbed to the third floor and entered the Hound Unit building. Making himself a coffee, he sat down at his desk and opened the manila envelope.
Rowan had her hands in her pockets as she walked into the police building, it was 7:05, she was 5 minutes late. Rowan darted up the stairs and into the Hound Unit building.
"Mornin', sir." she siad to Axion, heading straight to the coffee maker. She didn't sya good morning because in Arkan city there wasn't really a good morning.
Rowan didn't really have a desk yet, she sat down in a chair at the end of the coffee table and sipped her coffee, looking around, wondering what would happen today. Rowan was usually the last to be informed about things because of her new recruit status, she wans't fully trusted yet.
Lisa brushed a stray strand of hair out of her eyes, the same one that was out of place every morning. Straightening her starch white blouse and black oencil skirt, she struggled trying to make it up the steps in her less than sensible shoes. Rowan and Jake were already inside. "Hello, sir. Good morning, ma'am," she said, keeping her eyes focused on the floor. She got her usual morning coffee (with as much sugar as she could find crammed into it) and sat down at her desk.
((Guys I am so sorry, I was so busy last night i forgot to post my skellie, am I still allowed to join? If not, that's perfectly understandable))
((I think it was decided you could post your charrie and join once you got back....I dunno.))
(No big deal Tessa, just post your skelky and get started. Also, a side note. Parentheses where I am RPing Jared usually are mental notes he takes.) Jared nodded at both girls as they entered, standing once he had read through the entire folder. He quickly made copies of the vital information inside it. The storehouse was on the docks in the West Side. One of APD(Arkan Police Department)'s inside guys had picked up a code word during a tapped call. The perpetrators had mentioned that the "soda"(codename for coke, used specifically in Arkan) was being stored in Warehouse 67 on the docks. That was enough info for Hound to go on.
"Copies in the machine." Jared shouted before receding back into his desk to do some extra research
(Name: Maxine Venus Ramada Di’Capaggio (Going by Maxine Di’Rosaline)
Squad Position: New Recruit
Personality: Maxine is a bit rigid, but she tries to hide it so as not to seem to…suspicious. Plus she feels it’s unnecessary to add more negativity to the world. She’s a very determined person and very prideful, she’s always gotten what she wanted, and she’s not afraid to put up a fight if someone gets in her way. She’s also very strategic, patient, and intelligent, years of living with her father taught her how to bide her time. Surprisingly, she can be timid at times.
Appearance: She’s been called “The Di’Capaggio Rose”, and is considered very pretty. She has olive toned skin, and short, slightly wavy, black hair. Her eyes are big and a beautiful hazel, with long black lashes, though more recently she often wears blue colored contacts when out and about.. She’s petite, only about 5’4, and thin. Maxine carries herself well, though sometimes she can look anxious and almost panicky, like she’s afraid someone is looking for her.
Bio: Maxine is the daughter of a mob boss, though she’s kept that as much of a secret as she can. She went by Venus her whole life, since her father said considered her the most beautiful baby he’d ever seen. Her mother died when she was very young, and with her went the only decency Maxine’s father, ever had. He adores his daughter, but wishes she was more “excited” and involved in the family “business”, he basically tried to include her in everything. Maxine on the other hand is completely disgusted by her father’s lifestyle; she used to like the money and the attention, but since she’s gotten older it’s become shameful to her.
They got in a fight to end all fights a couple months ago, when Maxine “had a little outburst” during some “entertainment” (dog fight). Her father basically said he’d heard enough, and he didn’t care anymore what was done with her. Not wanting to stick around to be forced into some questionable occupation, married off to a mobster, or worse she left secretly.
Maxine decided to use her inside knowledge to help put an end to the filth and corruption, one thing led to another and she ended up on the Hound Unit
For safety reasons, she cut her hair, started going by her legal first name (Maxine), and told everyone her last name was Di’Rosaline.)
"Yes, sir," Lisa said. She took two copies from the machine, neatly putting it onto Rowan's desk before returning to her seat to read over the papers. Dr.ugs were pretty standard, like they were in all cities. Shouldn't take them too long to get the job done..
Maxine rose quietly from her desk and walked over to retrieve her copy, with the same air of determination that had radiated off of her since she was young. She picked up the paper and read over the details "Warehouse 67" caught her eye. She knit her eyebrows for a moment, deep in thought. "Now who do I know would be using warehouse 67?" She pondered, "And will any of the Di'Capaggio crew be there?"
"Thanks." Rowan muttered gruffly as the folder was placed on her 'desk'. The only goo dthing Rowan saw about having a plastic chair at the coffee table for a desk was that she could coffee really easily.
Rowan picked up the folder and opened it up, she read the papers, taking in the information slowly. Her reading skills weren't the best but she could get by.
Rowan eyed Maxine, the lady exuded confidence, almot too much confidence for Rowan's tastes. She watched as Maxine took the paper and read it, she seemed to be thinking of something.
((This one still accepting? I don't want there to be too many people, but I was just wondering, because it seems like a cool idea :) ))
