Nate pulled it open and looked inside, suddenly freezing.
Her eyes fluttered open and she sat up. Then extended her arms in the air in a dramatic stretch.
Nate jerked back so fast and hard, he fell over. He started trying to crawl away.
Essence grinned, then claimed out. She then moved closing the door, then turned to face him. "Fool."
"Wh-who the h-he.ll are you?" Nate asked, his eyes going big.
"Essence." She stated gazing down at him. "You see a casket locked in chains, and you open it? Fool."
"I-I...I...I-I..." Nate found the words sticking his throat, stumbling over his tongue. Like always.
"I don't know if I should kill you or keep you as a pet. Thoughts?" She asked reaching to lift him by his neck with just one hand.
Nate choked, he made breathy noises, trying hard to speak. But he could only make stammering noises.
"So cute..." She moved dropping him to the ground. "Tell me your name my pet."
Nate forced himself to talk. "N-N-Nate..."
"Nate..." She smiled then leaned down. "Tell me Nate, what century is this?"
"I-I um...I-It's...i-it's t-two th-thousand thirteen..." Nate managed, tapping nervously on his leg.
"Three hundred years locked in that box..." She sighed. "No one stupid enough to open it.." She then leaned down, showing off her chest more. "Tell me, had the time hurt me at all?"
"I-I don't...I don't...I don't understand..." Nate finally managed to spit out.
"Are you truly that stupid?" She asked. "The seventeen hundreds were a very popular time for hunts." She then moved lifting him up to his feet. "Mm, you look yummy..."
Nate flinched and waited to die.
She leaned in, then pressed her lips to his neck lightly. Pressing her pointed teeth to him. Just teasing him. Then pulled away. "Oh, how lovely you are when frightened."
Nate took in a shaky, harsh, breath.
"Don't fear, I never kill my play toys." She then moved waking out of the room. "Follow!"
