He woke the next morning bright and early. He freshened up and slipped into some Saiyan battle gear. The typical blue spandew with white plastic breastplate. It was oddly comforting for some reason. He left his room into the hallway to meet the hustle bustle of people. He pushed his way outside and saw the tournament arena that was set up practically overnight. the pieces were ready but they had required assembling and lots of it. It was surprising how big it actually was. His grandfather Trunks came up to him and began debriefing him about the tournament.
Light was both excited and a little hesitant. She was the great grandaughter of both Goku, and the man who was once a running champion of the tournament. She feared she might not live up to all the expectations, and yet she strived to surpass them.
As was traditional, the fighters of the tournament were chosen through a machine they had to punch. But there was also a power level reader, thanks to Capsule Corp based off of Saiyan technology. Light didn't want to power up to get in. She just wanted to barely get in. To make her oponents underestimate her.
Mauly, on the other hand, powered up a bit and punched pretty hard. He wanted to have a fight. A good one with someone of his level. And he wanted to own them. Vegeta, one of his ancestors was one of the best in the tournament. He wanted to live up to him.
After they announced who got in, all the fighters of the tournament were called to draw their numbers to see where they sat on the board and where they'd fight. Light noticed Mauly had made it in, and one of their older cousins, but other than that, it was a little lacking in familiar faces. I guess the big boys think they're too old for this now... She thought with a sigh. She walked up and drew her number after Mauly. They were on complete oposite sides of the board. Meaning the only way they'd fight each other was if they made it to the final.
He kind of wanted to fight Light. Guess he would just have to push on. His first fight was already with his older cousin but it was the last fight of the first round. Light was up first. She was fighting a noob who was actually pretty strong from what he heard. He sat in the barracks for the competitors that overlooked the playing field, waiting for the match to start.
Light waited impatiently for the match to begin. Her mind was so focused on defeating her first oponent, she was deaf to the announcements and the crowd. Defeat. She had to defeat him...
And the match began. Not even a minute passed before her oponent was knocked off the platform and she was victorious. One punch. One kick. He was out. Light inwardly smirked but kept her expression emotionless as she walked to the barracks.
He smirked, he knew something like that would happen. Light was a good fighter though he would never admit it to her.
The matches began to pass by, he observed his soon to be opponents. Two of them really surprised him with their strength. Two chubby little aliens. But he paid no attention to them. He shook it off.
Within an hour, it was time for his match. He was a pretty strong opponent, probably 5th after him, Light, and the two aliens. Though he wasn't a saiyan, it was a Namekian. He always respected them for their calm during extreme situations. Their eyes locked and as soon as the bell rang the two were off. He teleported behind him and smashed him into the ground before he could do anything. He dodged barely in time. But, quick to recover, he got the first hit off and put little power into this punch but it sent him flying across the stadium, out of the wring, into the side walls near the spectator stands. He waved to the cheering crowd and went back to where they would wait for the next map.
The matches continued. Things were just too easy, in Light's opinion. Hers and Mauly's hardly ever lasted long. And neither did the matches of the chubby aliens. Soon, it was her against one of the aliens, and after that, Mauly would go against the other. If they both won, they'd fight each other, which was what Light really wanted. She approached the ring, ready to fight. Unaware this particular oponent was about to go completely against the rules...
The matches did go by rather quickly. These last few were the ones he was more interested in however. He sat in his spot, the other chubby alien sitting down the row from him. The two were brothers apparently. He watched as the other one and Light watched each other, obviously trying to predict the next move. Light was emotionless while the alien was smirking. The bell rang and the weirdest thing happened.
(Hey don't be lazy and suddenly throw it on me!)
(Well I wanted to see what you would do, I mean not much else I could say while spectating. It is your fight after all. But sorry D:)
(You can't leave it like THAT. Okay? If you want me to take control don't pre-define what kind of thing is going to happen when.)
(OK, I'm sorry. It won't happen again! Pweez forgive me?)
(It's not like I'm angry, I'm just saying. Please rewrite then? And either make what you define or don't define what's not made.)
