“How did I know…” Cali laughed and tossed all the other movies onto her desk before taking the movie from Al and popping it into the DVD player before hitting play and jumping back onto the bed. She opened the box and grabbed a slice of pizza, taking a big bite.
Al did a silent fist pump as Cali took the movie and popped it in the DVD player. He moved to get more comfortable on her bed then grabbed a slice of pizza and chowed down. He loved Indiana Jones and he loved pizza just as much. This was the perfect combo so Al couldn't wipe the smile off his face the entire time.
Cali was leaning against her pillows and working on her second piece of pizza when her cell phone rang, making her jump. She dug it out of her pocket and answered it, “Hello?” She asked around a mouthful of pizza. “Oh…” She swallowed the pizza before continuing. “Hey, mom… Yeah, no problem… Yeah, Al’s here, I’m not alone… Okay mom, bye… Love you too…” She hung up the phone and set it on her bedside table. “My parents and Philip are staying at my aunt’s house tonight so were going to be here alone.” She told Al before finishing off her second piece.
"Awesome," Al said, taking another bite of pizza. His eyes were focused on the movie. "Wouldn't it be so cool if something like this happened it real life? Not that magical stuff," he mumbled into the pillow he was using.
Cali laughed, “I have to say it would be pretty freaking awesome.” She replied and took the ribbon out of her hair before unravelling the braid, her hair settling around her shoulders in thick waves. She slid off the bed and put the ribbon with all the others in a jewelry box.
((Oh!! I didn't see this >.<))
Al nodded. He felt really drained all of a sudden. One moment he was excited to watch his favorite movie and the next he was suddenly tired. Why? I never fall asleep during this movie... He could feel his eyelids get heavy and the next minute he was out like a light.
((No problem :) I kind of figured that ))
Cali had brushed out her hair and turned around to find Al sound asleep. She walked over and moved the pizza box, setting it on her desk chair before grabbing a small quilt and pulling it over top of him. “Sleep well.” She whispered before shutting off the movie and getting changed into pj bottoms and a tank top. She shut off the light, slipped into bed, pulled up the covers and settled against the pillows, falling asleep easily.
The next morning, Al woke up with his hair out of whack as he sat up and yawned. He had the weirdest dream that involved him being Indiana Jones and a creepy man as the main villain. Al and Cali, who was his sidekick, spoke to the man in a weird language and the guy disappeared. Then suddenly Cali had cat ears... Yup, weird dream. Al grudgingly glared at the pizza like it was the culprit for his odd dream.
Cali was still asleep but she seemed restless, the events from the day before all coming to life in her dreams and turning into one big nightmare. She was curled into a ball, mumbling incoherent words that sounded a little like pleas for help, a few whimpers escaping her lips as she started to squirm.
Al glanced at Cali when he heard a few whimpers escape her mouth and moved close to her. "Cali, wake up," he said, shaking her shoulder gently, "It's just a bad dream so wake up."
Cali woke with a small gasp and looked over at Al, “Hey…” she said before sitting up and brushing her hair away from her face. Parts of the nightmare clung to her mind and she tried to shake them off, not wishing to remember any of it.
"Morning Sunshine," Al said with a bit concern, "Didn't sleep well?" He moved the pizza box so he could sit in the chair by the desk and looked over at Cali.
Cali pulled her knees up against her chest and frowned, shaking her head a bit. “No, not really… to much going on inside my head…” She bit her lip and leaned her head back against the wall.
((Last post for today :) ))
Al frowned, moving from his spot and leaned towards Cali. He placed a hand on her forehead and nodded to himself. "You're burning up," he stated concerned and pulled away. "I get you some water." He scooted to the door and went to the kitchen to fetch some water.
((Good night!! ^_^))
((Night! :D ))
Cali nodded, “Okay, thank you.” She murmured and layed back down, kicking off her heavy blankets and swapping them for the quilt that she had put over Al last night. As soon as she had settled down again she heard a weird noise coming from outside, she slipped out of bed and over to the window looking out into the field to see a mass of black creatures heading towards the house.
((Sorry Ivy!! >.< Hopefully this is the last time I disappear without notice >.<))
Al grabbed a cup and was pouring water into it when he heard a strange noise. It sounded like they were coming from outside so he opened the back door and peeked out. What he saw made him believe he was still dreaming and dream or no dream, Al wasn't going to stick around to find out what those things are. He quickly ran back to Calalily's room, spilling water on the way there then handed it to her. "I'm assuming you saw what's out there," he said, observing her face.
((No need to apologize! Was just keeping it bumped up, didn't want it disappearing XD ))
Cali took the water from Al and took a small sip before setting it down and turning to him, “Yes… I’m going to guess and say that the old lady wasn’t just some crazy chick and was being serious about the whole ‘dark forces’ thing… I’m going to also assume that those things aren’t friendly.” She replied to him and started braiding her hair, tying it off with a black ribbon.
