Name: Calalily Nearing
Appearance: Calalily has wavy light brown hair with hints of natural gold highlights strewn throughout, it hangs half way down her back and is usually in a braid with a ribbon tied in a bow at the bottom to hide the elastics, just how she has worn it for years. Her unusual grey eyes flecked with hints of gold and green, rimmed in black or brown eyeliner. She stands at about 5’5, not overly tall but not short, her skin is faintly tan from being outside in the sun occasionally. She sticks to a basic wardrobe of bootcut jeans in darker blue colours and long sleeve or tee shirts of various colours, matching the colour of the shirt with the colour of the ribbon worn in her hair on most occasions. She sticks with wearing her tennis shoes and hiking boots as they are the only shoes she likes and finds comfortable to wear.
(Not a problem, heres mine :) ))
((lol Mine is so short compared to yours XD))
Name: Alfred (Al) Freecs
Appearance: Al has reddish brown fluffy soft hair. He has a light tannish color skin and he stands at about 5’8”. His eyes are an olive green with a few specks of light brown. He normally wears a jacket and a form fitting t-shirt and jeans.
((That's alright! I just go into detail with my characters so I can personally know them better :P Where do you think we should start?))
((Oh lol XD Umm, walking though the forest to the old house? O.o))
((Okay sure :) Haha!!))
Calalily pulled her braid over her shoulder and tightened the light blue ribbon in her hair. She had never been in this forest before, never even thought about crossing the river to check out the very ordinary, yet mysterious land. The fog and the way it concealed everything past the entrance never interested her... not in the slightest... Well that's what she made everyone think. Secretly she had been dying to check it out and was even more anxious as the fog started to snake around their ankles as they got closer to the tree line. Her parents were going to ground her for life if they found out where she was, having been warned many many times that it was somewhere she was not allowed to go and that 'curiosity killed the cat' and all that jazz, but she was seventeen and had her best friend with her... what's the worst that could happen?
((Hope that's a good enough introduction. I decided that the forest is an off limits place for the town or something, nobody goes there and stuff, sound good? Kinda creepy in appearance but just because the fog, other than that's its just like a regular forest, all green and brown and stuff, alright enough of my rambling on :P ))
((Bump ^ . ^ ))
((I'm sorry Ivy >.< And it sounds good to me! :) ))
Al walked through the never ending forest with great ease, as if it was his own backyard. Well, it kinda was. The forest was less than a mile away from his house and he often explored it though he never told anyone about it except Calalily. Al had always loved adventures and walking through the 'unforbidden' forest always satisfied his adventurous needs.
"No matter how many times I've walked through here, I have never seen that old legend about the creepy lady and her house," he muttered disappointedly, trying to break the silence.
((That's okay! Haha! :) ))
Calalily shrugged a bit, “Yeah well people will say anything to get you to stay out of a place that they don’t want you in.” She said, a small smile tugging at the side of her mouth. She looked around as they weaved through the trees, cracking sticks under her hiking boots as she walked. “I don’t see why they wouldn’t want us to explore, it’s not like there’s any trouble for us to get in. You think they’d be happy that we’d rather hang out outside.”
Al shoved his hands in his jacket pockets and glanced around. "Yeah, no kidding. My parents get after me for being outside more than they do with my brother when he's on the computer all day. It's sad really," he said, shaking his head. He picked up a small rock and observed it for a bit before continuing his short rant, "And what trouble can we cause out here? Disturb the trees?" After he said that he threw the rock into the fog and heard a sound of glass breaking. "Uh-oh..." He glanced at Calalily with a look of 'Did I just do that?'
Cali heard the shatter and looked over at Al quickly, “Uh-oh is right. I guess we spoke to soon, apparently there is more than trees in this forest…” She bit her lip debating on whether or not to go and check out whatever the rock had smashed. “Hmm… venture further and sleuth a little or turn back and forever wonder what’s in there…” She started bouncing on her heals before flashing Al a smile and darting forward, following the direction of the rock.
Al grinned and ran after her. "Hey, whatever is there I discovered it first!" he laughed but his grin slowly faded when an old abandon house came to view. His pace slowed until he was a few feet away and he stopped. "Do you think this the house in the legend?" He whispered, his eyes locking on the broken window. Must be where the rock hit.
Cali had stopped running as soon as she saw the house, startled to find an actual building there. Could their parents have been telling the truth? No, it couldn’t be. She shook off the thoughts and turned to Al, “No, of course not. That’s just silly.” She told him. “They said there was an old woman living there and this place is clearly deserted, I mean it’s practically falling apart.”
"Well," Al said playfully, feeling a smile creep across his lips, "Why don't we have a look inside?" He cut around the corner to the front of the house and walked on the porch. The wooden floor board creaked as if in agony at the sudden weight he was putting on them. Walking up to the door that nature gladly took over, Al pushed the door slightly and it immediately swung open, creating dust to fall and making the boy sneeze.
Cali smiled and followed behind Al, wrinking her nose when the boards groaned, hoping they would hold both her and Al's weight. She peeked into the old house as he pushed open the door before slideing past him into the house and grinning back at him, "Ladies first." She said before looking forward and continuing farther into the house.
Al rolled his eyes but still kept the playful grin on his face as her followed her inside. "It's a bit dark in here, don't you think?" He said, straining to see where the heck he was going. His leg bumped into a box and he almost tripped. "Woah," he breathed, regaining balance and kicking the box aside, "Who ever lived here must have been in a hurry to leave if they left their stuff behind." There was possessions all over the place.
Cali's squinted through the dark and could just hardly make out any of the items laying around. "Yeah, they were awefully messy too..." She muttered and stumbled a bit as her eyes adjusted to the lighting in the house.
Al spotted a shelf filled with jars on the wall next to him. Curious, he stepped towards it and peered at the contents inside the jars. It was hard to make out what was inside because of the lighting so he reached to grab it when he heard an old scratchy voice. "Don't you DARE touch that, boy!" Al's head whipped around and found a short figure standing at an entry way to a room. He couldn't tell if the figure was human because of it's deformed look caused by the shadows of the house.
Cali jumped back with a startled scream when she heard the voice behind her, she tripped over a small side table and landed hard on her butt, scrambling back as the figure moved towards her and reached out. It grabbed her arm and yanked her up, "Be careful!" the old woman snapped at her.
(( Bump ))
((Sorry >.< Busy yesterday))
Al wasn't quite sure because of the lighting, but the figure that held onto Cali's arm seemed like an old woman. So it is true, he thought and managed to breath again even though he was terrified. The old lady glanced at Al as if she heard his thought, making him flinch, before tugging on Cali's arm with a tight grip. "C'mere, you two," the lady grumbled and walked down the hallway, pulling Cali with her. Al hesitated to follow but did so anyway.
