Heror felt a small wave of energy go through him, and turned away, smiling a bit. Mages had tried this on him before, but his senses had grown stronger than most over his journeys, and this only confirmed his suspicion. He had to act like the spell had worked, though, so he walked away from the girl, entering an alley way. "I'll cut her off by going through here," he told himself quietly as he walked through the darkened corridors.
Natalie continued walking unsure that her spell worked. She slipped into an alleyway in hope that nobody saw her.
Heror continued down the alley way when he suddenly ran straight into the girl, nearly knocking her to the ground. Startled by the girl's sudden apperance, he had no idea that a man was coming up behind him, unsheathing a sword. He saw another man coming up behind the girl, raising his eyebrows and smiling. "What a lovely little girl we have here," the man said, approaching the girl.
Alanna bobbed and weaved between the group of usual market trouble makers. trying to get to work as soon as possiable. Jeeze is evrybody in town today? she wondered as she approached her destination.
Natalie turned around to the man. "Little girl? I beg your pardon. I am more of a woman than you can even get." Said Natalie bluntly. "I will be going now unless you'd like to die today." She tried passing through the men but they boxed her in like a cage.
"I don't think your skill set matches these guys, sweetheart," Heror muttered, sensing more magic on these men than the woman. A man came up to Heror and pulled out a sword. "Where's the staff?" He asked bluntly. "We know you have it! Just give it to us and we'll let you free." Staff? Heror had never come across any staffs along his journeys. "Listen, I think you-" "Don't speak unless you're cooperating!" The man shouted. The man turned to Natalie. "You! Do you have the staff?"
Alanna was about to go inside when she heard a noise coming from a nearby ally way. ignoring any sense in her head she went to see what was going on. "Everything okay back here fellas?" She asked her voice smooth and even.
Heror heard a voice coming from the street. He didn't want this little skirmish to attract too much attention. But these guys weren't just gonna let him go. "Drop your weapon," the man ordered, noticing Heror's sword. Heror hesitated. Maybe the new person approaching would distract the men so Heror could make his move.
Maedoc prided himself in being more clever then most, but he guessed that everyone sometimes let their curiosities get the best of him. And the witch surely was a curiosity. Deeming it too early to visit the pub anyways, Maedoc observed the witch from a distance. He got distracted by a street kid who tried to pick pocket him, and after a couple cruel threats, ducked into an alley where he had last seen the woman. What an odd sight indeed. Two men, sorcerers by the feel of them, were surrounding the woman and another boy Maedoc had seen in the market, the one with the sword that looked too big for him. He was certainly holding himself with courage though. To complete the scene, there was another street kid, standing on the fringe. Kid's gonna get killed... He thought. Maedoc silently cursed himself for always getting involved and pulled out a dagger, chucking it into the mage's side that had drawn a weapon.
Instead of the voice being the distraction, a dagger flew into the first man's back, giving Heror the perfect opportunity to pull out his sword and slice the other man's back, thrusting him to the ground. He quickly looked around for the source of the dagger, but he couldn't see anyone.
"Don't underestimate me fool! I guess my magic has taken some effect on you." Natalie thought as the men fell to the ground. She turned to the boy who whose sword was bloody. "Thanks for the save" Said Natalie placing her hand on the boy's shoulder. "But sorry darling gotta run!" Natalie channeled her magic and casted a sleeping sleeping spell on the boy. He fell helplessly on the ground dropping his sword in hand. She kneeled next to the boy and kissed him softly on the cheek and whispered to him: "We will meet again and I can't risk you getting me caught." She stood up and noticed the young girl was still standing. Natalie quickly casted a vanishing spell and disapeared before the girl's eye.
Heror wasn't out for long, but he woke up with a bad headache. "I hate magic," Heror muttered, sitting up and rising to his knee. He sheathed his sword and looked around. The girl witch was gone. He looked down at the bodies of the men. Maybe he could find clues as to why they were hunting him...
Alanna walked over to the guy with the sword. "Woah easy there are you okay?" She asked one hand on the throwing knifes at her belt and the other outstrreached towards the guy.
((Awright, I can finally get my skelly up!))
(Do ya'll mind me playing a PC villain? If not, I can play an anti-hero who tags along with your group.)
Name: Destrus Aatrox
Appearance: Desteran is a deformed man. Eons of service to Sihmora have left him scarred and terrifying to look at. He stands at about 6'4", with a muscular build to him. His eyes are glazed over with an obsidian black color. His teeth are jagged, and his lips curl back in a perpetual snarl.
That is, if you ever see his face. Destrus regularly covers his face with a jester mask, only his nightmare-enducing black eyes being visible. Destrus wears form-fitting, dark clothing that allows him to move quickly and easily.
Personality: Destrus is, for all intents and purposes, a sadist. He enjoys causing pain to those he despises. When not in combat or inflicting horrible pain upon a victim, he is cold and silent. He does not speak unless asked directly, he merely observes. And if asked a question, he gives the absolute truth. No ways around it.
Weapons: Destrus carries two shivs, about 14 inches in length. He also carries a variety of poisons and about a dozen throwing knives.
Heror looked at the bodies, and then at the girl who approached him. He looked around for more enemies and looked at the girl. "Search this guy," Heror said quietly, thinking she could help him. "Tell me if you find anything important." ((Yeah, that's ok, Terra. That's like the perfect villain for this :P))
Natalie transported into her cozy cottage lucky to be alive. She began packing her things quickly, mainly focusing on her potions and enchantments. "These people are going to get me executed for the practice of magic....where should I go? The guards should be coming any minute now." Natalie kept thinking over and over.
Maedoc grinned as the witch cast a sleeping spell on the boy who had helped her and kissed him on the cheek. She disappeared soon after that. Both of the mages were on the ground, and he assumed it was safe to go and collect his dagger. Maedoc entered the alley and quietly walked over to the fallen mage, dragging his dagger out of the man's back. He flashed a grin at the street kid and stood up. "Magic." He said, shaking his head.
"I don't think I will thank you all the same. I was just making sure everything was okay back here and now i'll be on my way good day to you." With that Alanna turned around and walked straight out of the alley way towards work inwardly scolding herself for being late again.
Heror shrugged to himself as the girl walked away. "Everyone's so self-concerned these days," he muttered, kneeling down to search the attackers. He didn't find anything important, but a symbol knitted on his torso caught Heror's attention: SB. He searched the other man. Nothing. He stood and looked around. What if the Mage girl had something to do with this? Mages seemed to be involved with staffs. Now Heror was stuck debating whether to look for her or not, but decided to at least leave the scene so he wouldn't be caught upon the bodies.
Natalie then heard a quick knock at the door. She grabbed her things and quietly sneaked out of her back door. She peered around the house to see five guards standing at her front door. "They must be here to collect me. I knew keeping that boy alive would give me trouble." She thought to herself. Then something crossed her mind, she had left her potion ingredients in the cottage. Natalie quietly sneaked back in to grab the skins. All of a sudden the door broke down leaving the light to expose her. "Lady Natalie" One of the guards said. "We are here to collect you. The king would like to speak to you"
"Come. You aren't in any trouble." Said the guard grabbing her arm firmly. Natalie dropped her things from hand and allowed the guards to lead her to a royal wagon. Natalie's stomach dropped in sight of the Royal family's wagon.
"Get in!" Said the guard. "The wagon will take you to the castle where you will speak to the king. Natalie nodded then got in.
