Amy walked over with Keirnan and crouched down, smiling at the crying woman. "Turn that frown upside down!" Amy frowned and then did a handstand looking quite ridiuculous. Then she fell over backwards and landed with a laugh. Amy jumped up quite proud of herself.
Jas kept running and running, and focused not on where she was going but focusing on running, fast and away from the city. She didn't stop running until she tripped, and sprawled out in the road.
Coughing and panting and lightheaded, she carefully looked up.
This stretch of road was deserted, barren, and dark-except for a few houses in the distance.
Jas struggled to her feet and painstakingly began to walk towards the houses.
(May I join???)
((Sorry. I'm trying to figure out what you guys think is happening... I'm not entirely sure what to write. And siddielee you can join.))
((Wow, major brain fart moment. Sorry guys.))
Kayley looked up and gasped. She stood up quickly ready to strike with her fire poker. Only when it hit her that these two people were children did she relax. Tears still fell from her cheeks. "H-how dis you get in here?" she stuttered.
Keirnan looked up at the woman with the poker,
"We climb through the win'ow...or actually Amy climbed through, she 'ad to help me through." Keirnan said quickly, she smiled at the lady, hoping she'd stop crying,
"I'm Keirnan." she added eagerly. The poker lady seemed to have relaxed a little bit, Kerinan continued to smile at her.
"We have to lock every entrance! There can't be any way to get in! They will kill us!" Kayley said quickly ignoring the fact that the child had just introduced herself. "We have to stay safe!" she whispered as she ran around the house shutting every open window and locking all of them. When she was done running through the house making sure there was no way in, she made her way back to the girls. "I don't know if there is any food here. I haven't checked yet. I'm Kayley. How old are you two?" she asked surprised at their young appearance in a world where she couldn't possibly imagine children could survive.
"Hi Kayley!" Amy said cheerfuly. "I'm Amy, and I'm twevle and a quater." Amy watched as she sequred the house. "Do you know who we are hiding from? We didn't know anything except to run."
Kayley looked at the two. One was very short, Keirnan, like a baby. The other, Amy, looked about her age. "The people who are sick are very dangerous. We are hiding from them. They can't get better. No amount of medicine he--" Kayley cut off holding back the squeak of sadness in her voice. "We need food," she stated changing the subject.
Keirnan still smiled at Kaylay,
"I'm 8." she said holding up eight fingers to prove it. She saw Kaylay looked upset again and she reached up and standing on her tip tes grabbed Kaylay's hand trying to make her not be upset anymore.
"I know 'bout the sick people..." she said.
Amy pulled off her backpack which she had forgotten about before. "Lets eat!" Amy pulled out a couple peice of bread, an apple, and a pear. "Sorry its all I got." Amy tryed not to think about the sick, her family was taken by it, but she tryed to avoid the topic.
"No, no." Kayley said to Amy. "Save your food. There should be some here. My town has been abandoned for months. There must be canned goods somewhere. Stay close," She said grasping the tiny girl's hand and holding out the other for Amy.
Amy nodded and put her stuff away. She grasped Kayley's hand and smiled, an adventure! Dangerous mabey, but fun. "So where to?" Amy asked bounceing on the balls of her feet.
((It didn't post, Greek.))
Dylan moved towards the house, panting for breath. He slowed when he saw three figures, clutching Jo tighter to his chest. They didn't seem like the sick from here...
But still. He was cautious as he moved closer.
((It will not post no mater how many times I try!!! Mabey this'll go up!))
Amy grasped Kayley's hand and saw a figure approaching from far away. Slightly self consious, Amy clung to Kayley's side.
Keirnan thought she heard something outside, she couldn't see out the window though. It sounded like someone walking,
"I thin' someone;s outside!" she announced to Kaylay and Amy. Keirnan intertwined her tiny fingers in Kaylay's so she could have a better grip.
Amy snuck foward and looked out the small window. "They don't look infected. They don't have that wobbly walk that the sick do." Despite what she said, Amy clung to Kayley's side.
