Ellie kissed his cheek. "I should get home. But I'll see you tomorrow, right?" She didn't want to go, but she had a commitment.
Miles grinned, "yep! I'll meet you there!" he squeezed her hand one last time then let it go. "see ya!" he smiled as he started to turn, glancing at the panda and winked, the panda lifting his head.
Ellie left with a smile on her face. She was really looking forward to this date. She just hoped everything went well.
Miles shift ended early, he changed out of his work clothes and got on a t-shirt, and dark jeans and his old sneakers. He walked out and started to head back home.
The rest of the day was uneventful for Ellie. She went to bed early after picking out what to wear on her date with Miles.
Miles walked back, slipping into his log house that he put together when he turned sixteen like all the boys did. Only he didn't find a girl in the tribe to have a family with. He thought the tradition was disgusting. Those poor girls... Some of the men here were ruthless. He sighed deeply, laying on his deerskin bed and thought about the date tomorrow.
The next day, Ellie felt like time was going extremely slow. She ended up at the movie theater a whole hour early. She went ahead and picked out what movie they were going to watch, and she waited patiently for Miles.
Miles got up, throwing on the nicest shirt he had and jeans. He then got in his tennis shoes, he sighed, they were pretty old. He shook his head, and then snuck out quietly and ran all the way to the zoo. He slipt out of the zoo undectected and then walked all the way to the city.
Ellie grew increasingly nervous. She wasn't sure if Miles really liked her. She looked down at her outfit and started wishing she'd picked a dress or someting instead of jeans and a button blouse.
Miles neared the theater and his heart sped up as he saw her. "Ellie!" he called her with a grin already on his face.
Ellie's heart leapt when she heard Miles call her. She smiled wide and walked to him. "Hey!" She was glad he was finally there.
Miles grinned at her, he took her hand, "sup?" he chuckled softly. "come on..." he tugged her inside. "so, what are we watching?" he asked her with a grin.
"Call me a nerd, but I really wanna watch Star Treck." Ellie told him. "Is that alright?" She hoped he didn't mind.
Miles looked at her, "Star Trek...." he never watched the movies, intact he rarely ever was infront of a screen. "sure! I don't care..." he smiled at her.
Ellie giggled excitedly as they went and got the tickets. "Do you want to share a popcorn?" She asked him.
Miles smiled at her, he liked when she laughed, it was cute. "yeah, I'll pay!" he got a large popcorn with extra butter. "let's go..." linking arms with her as they headed into the movie.
Ellie enjoyed the movie with him, sitting with the armrest between them up so that she could scoot closer to him and cuddle. She only halfway paid attention to the movie.
Miles wrapped one arm around her, he smiled through the whole movie, which probably looked weird, but he never felt like this before. He was glad he had asked her out, he ate popcorn as the movie went on.
After the movie ended they left a theater. "What do you want to do now?" Ellie asked, probably more happy than she'd been in years.
Miles took her hand, "hmmm.... You still hungry? Because we could go out for dinner? Or we can just walk around and talk?" he smiled at her.
