((Okay, I'll be on for about ten mintues right now, going to go ride my horse! I'll be back on around 5:30))
Amos sat with his back against the wall enjoing the rain. Amos loved the rain, the way it seemed to dance in the air. Hearing her come down the path, he stood up and got behind the wall.
Cassy stopped a moment to try to get her hair out of her face so she could at least see. She sighed and leaned against the wall of a closed shop, letting the overhang keep the rain off of her. She closed her eyes. "This is rediculous." She mumbled.
Adri leaned against the other side of the wall as she passed. Adri let out the smallest of sighs as she walked away. Peeking out, he saw her under the hanging of the closed shop next to him. He stared at her wavey brown locks of hair, her inticing gray eyes, She was so pretty. Adri had fallen head over heals the first time he sa her.
(Don't you mean Amos? Or are you just changing his name?)
Cassy sniffled and finally just let her tears flow freely. Without the rain falling on her it was easier to tell she was crying. She was cold and alone, and she felt so miserable she thought she might be sick.
((Oh, yea sorry, I have another character named Adri that I just posted on. Got to go, my borther is bring us diner, but I was elected to go with him.))
Amos jumped foward, then held himself back. Why is she crying? He wondered. His fists clenched, he wanted to help her, but there was no way he could.
A small sob escaped her. Cassy couldn't believe her luck. She couldn't get the scene of Matthew, her crush, and his friends all laughing at her. She could still see the stains on her shirt from the food dumped on her. She slid down until she was sitting on the ground, resting her face in her arms. Birthday forgotten, had to work, she embarrassed herself beyond recovery, and no one in the world was there for her. Better off dead... She thought bitterly.
((Does he come in now?))
Amos bit his lip to keep from coming to her. What had happened? He couldn't come into the school, he be found in nothing flat. What had hurt Cassy so? I'll strangle them! If anyone were to look at his eyes right then, they'd now he would do it. His fist clenched, digging his fingernails into his skin.
(Yes, go ahead and bring him it.)
(( :) ))
Amos gentaly edged foward untill he had stepped out from behind the wall. Looking down into her pretty face Amos had no idea what to say. Hi? No too chessy. I'm Amos? No, not right. Standing steady and tall, Amos said to the girl he had protected, and loved, his whole life, "I know you."
Cassy looked up at the boy with a confused look. She didn't even care that he could see her tears and red nose. "What...?" She asked, not sure she heard him.
"I know you." He repeated. He was sure of himself. This was the way to do it. Amos looked down, his deep blue eyes swirling, but in a friendly way. The stared straight into her eyes, then bent down, and wiped a tear from her cheek. "I know you, I have my whole life. I'm your shaddow."
Cassy stared at him for a moment, transfixed. But then she blinked and shook her head. "Either you're pulling my leg or I've officially lost it." She mumbled.
Amos's eys flashed. He took a breath to speak, but then changed his mind. "Who hurt you?" He looked her up and down, she was wet, but didn't look physicaly hurt.
Cassy grimaced, shaking her head. "Everyone?" She sighed looking down at her hands. "I guess I could've handled it all...up until I got a whole tray of food dumped on me at work..."
Amos didn't understand, why was that so bad. Internaly, he breathed a sigh of relif, she wasn't hurt.. in that way. "Try to explain."
((Sorry, I'm a morning person, off to bed now :)! Hope its not too inconvincing. Post in the morning!))
"Well..." Cassy bit her lip. "My family forgot my birthday...again. I got called into work. My best friend dumped me. And I completely embarrassed myself in front of the boy I've had a crush on since forever." Her phone buzzed and she checked the text. "Oh great, and now my fish are dead." She threw her phone in the storm drain. It brought nothing but bad news anyway. "Someone kill me now."
Amos crouched down next to her, and sat down. There were so many ways to confort her, so many questions to ask, he chose possibley the worst one. "What boy?" Amos's fist clenched.
((I have a horse show this weekend *me does a happy jig*! I'm excited, but unfortunatly it means I won't be on a lot this weekend.))
Cassy looked up at him with slightly narrowed eyes. "What does it matter? As soon as the school year starts again, everyone in school is going to be laughing and teasing about it."
Amos restrained himself from asking again. Taking a deep breath, he said nothing, for it was true they would be. "Happy birthday.' Amos said.
Cassy scoffed. "This is far from happy." She mumbled. "You said you know me, but I have no idea who you are. I've never even seen you before."
