Percy nodded and ran after her, trying to run faster. Lucy came with them and it wasn't long before they could see the exit. "Lets go!" Percy said and tryed to run faster, although he had steadiedly been getting slower through their run.
Oasis kept pace with Percy, slowing down whenever he did. Eyeing the exit, she felt the adrenaline pumping through her. They were so close now, nothing was going to stop them now. No guards were in sight, it was just them and the exit. "We can do it guys." she huffed while running.
Percy stumbled and slowed again, but they made it through the door. Percy's breathing was too fast to be advisable, but he kept running until they were a ways into the woods. As soon as he felt he could, Percy dropped to the ground exhausted, it was the dead of night now, they could barely see each other.
Oasis continued running, hearing Percy's rapid breathing beside her. She soon heard him drop to the ground with a thud. Being careful not to step on him, she sat down beside him. "We made it guys. We finally made it and that's all that matters." she declared, trying to catch her breath from running.
Percy nodded and gasped for air. "We did it. They're gone." Percy sighed with relife and reached over to pull Oasis into a kiss, depite their rapid breathings.
As she was pulled into a kiss, Oasis wrapped her arms around Percy, never wanting to stop the kiss. When they continued to kiss, she felt the tears well in her eyes. She had almost lost him, she never wanted it to happen again.
Percy didn't break away from her, and could feel his own tears running down his face. How they had gotten in this, he was unsure, but they had and Percy never wanted to part from her.
Oasis didn't let her lips leave Percy's. She felt a tear trickle down her cheek, and another one from the opposite cheek. This time, she knew it wasn't her tear, it was one of Percys. He was crying too, making it seem as if they were one. "Percy.." she whispered in between the kiss. "I never want to leave you. Ever." she murmured, resuming the kiss.
Percy breathed her in, murmmering back "Never." It was Lucy who broke them apart with clearing her throat loudly. Lucy stood above them, her hands on her hips. "Really?"
Oasis looked up at Lucy, wiping the mingled tears off her cheek. She couldn't help but laugh now. "Sorry Luce. Didn't mean to ignore you there!" she squeaked, slightly embarrassed.
Percy bit his lip and looked down to hide his laughter. Lucy said, "Well. I presume you too are going to stay on the move, get away from the government people?" Percy looked at Oasis and nodded. Lucy continued, "Well I do have friends and I think I'll go back with them."
Oasis looked down and nodded. "You sure Lucy? I mean that's fine, I just don't want you to feel like you have to just for our sake." she murmured softly. She felt like she was about to cry, remembering back to when she had first met Lucy, and that she had thought Oasis was a scary monster. She laughed, and tried to choke back the tears.
Lucy nodded, but Percy had stood up as though he was going to fight for her to stay. But he swayed on his feet, and was lost for words. After a moment he sat back down, "You can always come with us Lucy. We may be hard to find." He stared detirmidly at the ground, trying to fight back the tears. Lucy said, "I want to be with them, they are as close as family, and they have to be worrying about me. I love you both, but I love them too. And this isn't the last time I'll see you guys." With that Lucy hugged the both of them.
Oasis fought to not cry, but she couldn't help it. She let the tears begin to fall, one after another. "Oh Lucy... You know I'll miss you so much don't you? I hope we meet again soon. Be safe Luce, if anyone tries to hurt you just find me. I'll always be around to beat up a bad guy or two for you." she murmured with a soft wink. Wiping away tears, she embraced Lucy and felt the tears begin to fall once more.
Percy let the tears fall silghtly and when Lucy pulled back he looked into her eyes. She nodded and he knew she understood. Lucy said, "Well, I'll be off now, I'm sure it won't be long before we see each other again." With a smile she walked off and was swallowed by the darkness. Percy hugged Oasis tightly, letting the tears fall.
"Good-bye Lucy." Oasis whispered softly, burying her face in Percy's shoulder. She felt safe with him, and she never wanted him to let her go. Wrapping her arms tighter around Percy, she began sobbing uncontrollably. "Oh Percy..." she managed to choke out through her sobs.
Percy understood. They met, what was it? A week ago? But finally they had each other. Nothing in between. Just the two of them. Forever.
((Is that it? Or do you want to add more?))
(( I'll just do one final post. *Cries* f you want to add anything feel free.... So sad its over :( ))
Oasis clutched Percy's hand and kissed him. She wrapped her arms around him leaned her head against his chest. From now on nothing could separate them, it was just them against the world.
