"Why do you ask such a ridiculous question?" Alexander chuckled handsomely, "I've noticed that I don't spend enough time with you girls and I would love to get to know you better. Ailith, you're quite a lovely young woman, and Rays, I don't know you very well. I would like to, if you'll give me the honor." He sat beside Ailith and wraped his arm around her shoulder in a friendly fashion allowing his appealing scent of axe to surround the trio.
Darius removed his arm from around Kristina, and began eating his lunch. "So," he began. "Do you play any sports Kristina? Cheerleading, tennis, soccer?" he asked politely. The rest of the group appeared to be absorbed in their own conversations. He wished they would at least pretend to be nice.
Rays sniffed the air and inhaled Alexander's axe. She coughed quietly, attempting to not be too rude. Noticing his arm around Ailith, she rolled her eyes. She just continued to eat her lunch.
Ailith blushed, and picked up the fork with the piece of lettuce on it again. She was about to eat it once more when another question popped into her mind. "Why didn't you sit with us before?" She asked. She set the lettuce down again, avoiding it slightly. She didn't really want to eat today. Or tomorrow. She didn't like it, anyways. She found herself leaning a bit into Alexander's arm, but then snapped out of it blushing again and sat up straighter. She looked at Rays and smiled sheepishly.
Rays rose her eye brows slightly and continued to eat ignoring Darius but yet keeping close tabs on her friend.
"Ail, eat." she muttered under her breath so only her friend would hear. Sh sniffed, this guy really like to load the Axe on, her nose wrinkled and she focused on her plate.
Ailith frowned and picked up her fork and bit half the piece of lettuce off her fork. She set her fork down and finished chewing, then swallowed and began to push her salad around on her plate. She watched Rays eat and waited for Alexander's reply. She shifted her gaze from Rays to Alex.
(( Bump just waiting for Kristina! :) ))
Alexander watched the girls eat for a moment. He'd started daydreaming while staring at them, but he snapped out of it. "I- I-" he stuttered, "I couldn't rack up the courage to sit with you," he exhaled. He turned to his food and poked at the meat substance. With his spork he scooped up some rice and ate it quickly. It dried his mouth it was so sticky.
Ailith's eyes widened in shock. "Y-you were scared to eat with US?" She looked at Rays expecting a snappy comeback. Rays just looked back at Ailith curiously, amused. She blushed. "We aren't really hard to approach..." stuttered Ailith. She wasn't sure what to do anymore, so she grabbed Rays arm and held tight. Her lunch sat completely full while the others were halfway finished.
Alexander sighed with relief. He was not aware that Ailith was so gullible, but now that he knew...
He ate his lunch stealing secret glances and Kristina and Darius. Then he looked at Ailith and Rays. "So what have you girl's been up to lately?" he asekd smoothly
Ailith studied the rest of the food she got at the cafeteria, and didn't answer. The truth was, she hadn't been up to anything. She stayed up late on her computer doing nothing in particular. She'd tried emailing her parents a lot, but they were busy. Just said short replies that answered no questions. "Having so much fun, love you, remember to feed the fish!" How was that supposed to make her feel any better? But Ailith wouldn't let anyone know at school. Not like anyone cared anyways. ...But maybe Alexander would. She held her breath thinking. Then she remembered the question, quickly exhaling and then looking up at Alex quickly. Attempting to shake off that brief moment of panic and awkwardness, she shrugged casually.
((Bump. Waiting for Kristina))
(Does anyone mind if I join late?)
((I don't mind! Bump, Honors where are you?))

Rays glanced back at Ailith,
"Eat, Ail." she said quietly again. Rays was finishing up her plate of food. She looked at Alex, but ignored his question, Rays would just keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't hurt her best friend, Ail. Rays didn't want her best friend tricked and hurt and she didn't trust Alex.
Ailith lifted up her fork and finished the piece of lettuce on it. She looked at Alex, waiting for the next thing he'd say. DShe was gullible, but she did sense that Rays didn't trust him. However, Rays didn't trust anybody, really. She took a sip of her water, and scooted a teensiest bit away from Alex and closer to Rays. This meant she was nervous.
