"I'm Kristina," Kristina said, shaking Darius' hand. "It looks like I have American Lit first."
Darius smiled broadly. "Hey! That's what I have too! Mind if I you show the way?" he said, holding out his arm in a friendly manner.
"I don't mind at all," said Kristina, smiling as she took Darius' arm. Class hadn't even started and she already had met two guys. Maybe this high school isn't too bad after all.
((Please stay away from one-liners))
Alexander glared at the clock. It didn't seem to be moving at all. He snuck into his pocket and pulled out the dinky little flip phone he hid from the world. Class was barely half over. He looked down at the picture he'd drawn of Kristina and then closed the book. He looked longingly at the garbage where he'd thrown the other paper.
((Sorry, the reply box is smaller and I always think it will be longer.))
((Leaving for camp, i will be back in a week.. Someone please play my character while I'm gone!))
As Kristina joined arms with him, his smile radiated off his face. They headed down the hall a little ways down, and took a right. A couple yards ahead, they had reached their American Lit class. "Here we are!" he whispered, letting go of her arms as they walked into class. The teacher was introducing herself and what they were going to be doing this year. As the pair stepped into the room, the teacher glared at them. She looked as if she was in her mid-20's, but appeared to be a hard nose. "Sit. Down." she grumbled. Darius strode to the back of the classroom where there was a pair of two empty desks, and sat down.
Kristina slid into the desk next to Darius'. The teacher was quite young, but had a stony glare. Kristina did not want to know what she was like angry, so she refrained from trying to talk to anyone, and sat obediently in her seat.
Alexander stood from his seat and paused for a moment. He turned to a blank page in his notebook and ripped out the page. He crumpled it into a ball and walked calmly to the trash bin. Swiftly and skillfully he switched the blank paper with the paper he'd thrown out earlier. He shoved the paper in his pocket and sat down waiting for the day to be over.
The next few periods seemed to fly by. Darius was actually enjoying school for once. He liked Kristina's company. It was fifth period now, and he was awaiting the lunch bell. He glanced over at Kristina. As the bell rang, he walked over to her. "Wanna have lunch together?" he asked her, hoping she would say yes. He wondered if that kid who was with her this morning had thought of this idea too.
Rays went to the lunch hall, Ail still clinging to her arm. On th way there she saw the new girl talking Darius. Rays walked past them and past Alexander adn picke dup unch for her and Ailith, the went t their favorite spot by the large window. She sat down, making Ailith sit down to and sat their lunches down.
"Sure!" Kristina said, beaming at his offer. She happily joined Darius at his lunch table and rummaged through her bag for the plastic container that held her lunch.
Alexander walked into the lunch room with a tray of the school lunch -- or slop. He looked around until he spotted Kristina and Darius at a full table. The table directly in their view was empty but all two people, Rays and Ailith. He walked over to them and sat down in the view of Kristina and Darius. "Hi ladies, how're you today?" he asked politely.
Darius was thrilled that Kristina agreed to have lunch with him. He looked around at the other people at their table. It was mostly a bunch of jocks and a handful of cheerleaders. Truthfully, he didn't really like them all that much, he just pretended to. Out of politeness, he introduced her to everyone. "Hey guys! And.. girls! This is Kristina. She's new here so no wise a** comments!" he joked putting his arm around Kristina, giving her a slight squeeze, not enough to hurt her.
((Honor is having me PP Rays))
Rays looked up as Alexander joined them. "We're good." she mumbled, and turned back to Ailith. She really didn't know Alexander all that well to begin with, though he seemed friendly.
Ailith nodded and smiled. "We're..we're hungry!" She said as she picked up her fork and poked a piece of lettuce on her plate. She looked at Rays, then at Alexander. She looked back and forth again and then sighed loudly and plopped her chin into her hands, elbows resting on the table. She knew Alexander pretty well, but didn't know why he was sitting with her. Nobody really talked to Ailith, even though she was quite pretty. She knew well too that boys didn't just come and sit near them. "Why are you here," she asked. Then she looked behind her, following his eyes and looked sadly at the new girl. She quickly turned back to him.
(( Bump! ))
Kristina smiled at the group at the table. "Hi," she said, beaming as Darius pit his arm around her. ((Sorry for the one-liners I'll try to do better, I have been busy of late))
