Another week begins, full of schoolwork, homework, and lots of spare time. Alexander struts into the lobby of the school. His hair freshly shaven, though his face still has the five-o'clock shadow from the night before. He unbuttons his blazer to show off his fancy powder blue shirt.
Rays enters te school, her old ripped and dingy pink backpack on her back. The bag she'd had since she was in firt grade, when it'd been huge on her now it fit just fine, but was really worn and torn
Rays walked past Alexander, who was showing off...again. She stopped at the vending machines near the door to wait for her only friend, Ailith.
A pretty girl nervously walks down the hallway, her blue eyes darting back and forth. She is the new kid, one can tell without even asking. Kristina fairly runs over to her locker, wishing she had a friend to talk to here.
Rays watched the new girl head over t her locker, Rays glanced at the clock nervously. Ailith would be late if she didn't show up soon, if Ailith didn't coem in on time Rays usaully went to her house to check on her, make sure everything was OK.
Rays looked back at the new girl, she seemed lonely, buts he aso looked like the type of girl that would fit into th epopular people because she was pretty. Rays generally tried to avoid those types of girls.
Kristina closed her locker and looked around. She spotted a brunette girl in an old cap that seemed to be waiting for someone.
"Excuse me," she said, turning to the girl and glancing at her class assignment sheet she had recieved in the office. "can you tell me where room 709 is?"
Rays turned, th new girl was looking at her adn asking a question. Rays thought for a few moments, studying the girl, she than pointed down the hall,
"Fourth door on ya lef'." she said gruffly and then turned away, where was Ailith? Rays was starting to worry about her friend, she shifted her backpack straps on her shoulders and stared at the school enterance.
Well, that was welcoming. Kristina thought, after thanking trland heading up the hall. She began to wonder if she would make ANY friends at school. She pulled out her phone to see about 16 new messages from Amanda, her old best friend. She was soon lost in Manda's anecdotes that when she finally put her phone away, she turned and saw...
Alexander noticed the new girl and he followed her to a classroom. He rubbed his scruffy chin and as she was checking her cell phone, he leaned against the lockers behind her. She turned around and looked at him. He smiled with his pearly white teeth and with his deep voice he said, "You're new."
"How did you guess?" Kristina replied sarcastically, putting her phone away. She smiled, at least this guy seemed welcoming. "I'm Kristina," she said.
Alexander chuckled handsomely. He leaned closer to her and smiled. "I know every girl in this school... Kristina." He said her name softly. "But I've never seen anyone quite like yourself. I'm Alexander, but my friends call me Xan."
"Nice to meet you," Kristina said, blushing. You never could tell with some guys, if they actually meant what they said, or just liked to flirt.
Darius strode into school, strutting in like he owned the place. Glancing down at his schedule, he crumpled it up and shoved it in his pocket. Who really cared anyways? As he walked down the halls, he noticed Rays, a girl who had been in a few of his classes over the years. He winked and flashed her his pearly white grin. Waving, he called out, "Ay Rays! Nice to see ya!"
Rays turned to see Darius or whatever his name was. She'd seen him in school and he wa sin a few of her classes, but she didn't socialize at all so she didn't know him that well.
Rays nodded to Darius semi-curtly semi- politely.
Ability yawned, sitting up in bed. She felt so tired, she just wanted to lay right...back...down... But she looked at the clock. "Shoot!!! I'm gonna be late," Ailith said to herself and ran out of of her room to grab an apple. She was really lucky she slept in her clothes. Eventually she reached the school, panting heavily with pink cheeks.
Rays saw her friend run into the school, it look like she'd run the whole awy here. Rays made her way over,
"'Ey Ail, ya were worrying me." she said, getting up her friend, she glanced at the clock again, they had to get moving. Rays shifted her backpack and turned down the hall,
"Come on." she said, offering Ailith her arm, Ailith liked to hold to people and Ailith was the only one who could touch Rays without getting hit.
((I posted something last night but I guess it didn't go through))
"What's your schedule like?" Alexander asked taking a sneaky baby step forward that went unnoticed. He was taller than this girl and so he towered over her a bit. He smiled softly awaiting her reply.
