"Shapeshifter..." Cole muttered. "That's something you don't see everyday. A shapeshifter."
"I'm actually an animal shifter, so your quessing wasn't exactly wrong." Rain said softly. "I can change my human form a little, but only by using animalistic features."
"That must take a lot of skill," Cole thought aloud.
"Yes, sometimes it does." Rain shrugged. "It's taken a lot of practice and I still haven't mastered even half of it."
"That's impressive," Cole nodded.
Rain sighed. "I can't change my gender authentically but I can change my appearance and voice so much you wouldn't be able to tell any difference." She told him. "However, if I try to become a rat or something so large as an elephant I'll surely kill myself trying."
"Because you can't make up the mass for it?" Cole asked.
Rain shrugged. "I've seen it done before. There's some sort of secret to is. I just can't figure it out."
Cole thought for a bit, "how about if you were to take in something else's mass?"
