"Soon, I think, its gonna be good tonight! Roast pork chops and vension and many other good things! I'm starving!" Lis said putting her napkin on her lap and picking up her fork.
Bo found that the court session was very frustrating. Most of the people charged with making Zatire's most difficult decisions had never even been to the front lines. Half of them had never even left the capital city. Bo knew he wasn't all that old and experienced himself, but at least he had a lick of common sense. He made his way to the dining room and sat down beside his brother, Kyle. It wasn't that he disliked his brother and half sister, he just wasn't all that close with them. Him and Kyle were polar opposites and Lis was more proof of what a simple tyrant their father was. As far as Bo was concerned at the moment, the next person who mentioned politics was gonna get his boot through their teeth. He scanned the room, looking for a particular servant, and when he didn't find her he turned to Lis. "Lis, have you seen Alfie recently?" He asked her. She was always running about, she had probably seen Alfie today.

Aryn slammed her book shut in frustration. She couldn't read now, not with too many things running through her head. And no matter how many pages she read, her mother still wouldn't be pleased with her. the queen of Airifet had been hardened when the king left. Aryn had been five and barely remembered that day, nor did she want to. She slipped down the lonely hall, her shoes clacking on the smooth black tile. She walked out onto the terrace, for a glimpse of the great forest between Zatire and Airifet. The forest had always been interesting to her, when she was young she had begged her governess Sofi to tell her the chilling tales of Airifetans who had ventured into the forest and never been seen.
Over the thick green treetops, she could make out the snow-covered mountains of Zatire, surrounded by mist like solemn guardians. The mountains of Airifet were few, and many were volcanic.
Aryn turned to the terrace door and stepped inside.
((If I may still join?))

Kyle turned towards his brother, "Nice to see you Bo. I hope all is well?" That was Kyle's normal greeting, well to anyone who he wasn't close with, so everyone except Lis.
((go ahead momo!))
Lis turned to Bo when she heard her name and took a bit of time to process the question starring off into nothing. Then she said abruptly, "Oh! Alfie? No, not at all today? That's strange, wonder where he is? Anyway, what do you need him for?" LIs watched as a line of servents came in carring various large pots filled to the brim with steaming food. Alfie was not among them. After the servants placed the food on the long table Zaela came in and announced what she would be serving as the servants put plates and forks in front of each person filling the goblets with either wine or water.
Lis waited as the dishes were passed around, the king and queen and all important people in the royal court would receive the food first, then the 'children' (as they were considered mostly anyways) way at the end of the table last. It took a few minutes before the buiscuits reached Lis and when they did she snatched two, folding one into her napkin on her lap to later give to her horse. As the food began to circulate around to her and her half-brothers, she eagerly loaded up.
"Wonderful." Bo said to Kyle with a shrug. Why burden his brother with his problems. Lis was acting weird, well, weirder then usual. "Alfie is a girl..." He said. Bo shook his head and picked up his wine glass, taking a sip. "Are you coming hunting tomorrow, Kyle?" Bo asked him.
Aryn walked down the spiral staircase, made out of smooth stone, volcanic rock. Her mother was nowhere in sight probably holding court. The court was a place Aryn usually avoided. She headed out the door to the stables, where her horse, Aevilin was kept. Aryn wasn't much of a rider, but fresh air always helped clear her mind. Mounting Aevilin, she started off.
Annabeth sighed as she went down to the training yards for her regular practice session. Picking up her sword she began sparing i=with a dummy wishing it were a real opponent. after a moment though her mind went blank and she went effortlessly through the dozens of drills that she had been tought over the years.

Aryn always had to stay close to the palace when riding by herself, so she rode around the massive building to the ridge, overlooking the barren valleys of Airifet. Above them were the colossal giants, the Dark Mountains, a range of dormant volcanoes. Aryn shielded her eyes and could see villagers milling about in a town in the valley. Their lives fascinated her, the way the children could just run to the stream without a bodyguard. Aryn often wished she could change places with them, despite her mother who was always saying,
"But Aryn, you will be queen someday!"
But no. she thought. Someday I will be married off to some power-hungry noble who will become king and do the ruling for me.
Alex watched the princess ride to the ridge looking over the village. Heading into the palace Alex decided that he wanted to join the princess on her ride. He rushed to the stables and saddled his horse Whisper and headed out to join her.
"I want to come hunting!!" Lis said excitedly. She hadn't had many oppertunities to hunt with others before since most of the time she was ignored, she normally would hunt by herself or with Kyle. Lis bit into her honey smeared biscuit and took a sip of red wine. She felt a burning feeling in her throat and quickly chugged some water. Lis could never finish her wine so she would often dump it into a potted plant in the room.
Aryn turned to see Alex riding Whisper toward her. Alex was her favorite companion, The rest always made her feel misunderstood or chattered constantly, making her feel uncomfortable. Aryn waved at Alex, who was already halfway to her.
"Hello princess," Alex called as he rode beside her, "what are you up to out here?"
Kyle snapped out of his stupor and turned to Bo. He hestitated before answering though. He really didn't like hunting, you know, running around trying to shot animals. Kyle bit his lip and answered, "Of corse Bo, who else is coming?" He asked giving Lis an appologitic look.
Bo smiled at Lis's enthusiasm. He turned to Kyle and shrugged in a notably undignified manner. "I'm not sure yet." He said. "It will only be a few of us." Bo reached for Lis's wine glass. The way he saw it, he was doing the plants a favor by stealing her wine. "Of course you may come, Lis. If you're up to it. It's not gonna be a stag hunt, I have something much more interesting in mind." He added with a grin.
Kyle looked over at Bo from the corner of his eye. Something more interesting... What was he planing? Oh well, Kyle would find out soon enough. Kyle turned to his food.
