((silly me :P))
It all happened so quickly. The first moment she was relaxing, then Boom!, they crashed. She hurried off the ship. She hopped into the ocean trying her best to stay afloat.
"Son of a-!"
This was the lastest exclamation from Eytan's father. The man was very explicit in his language, often displaying a skill that is best unheard. As if reacting to his words, a loud boom echoed throughout the ship. Eytan cursed himself this time, then rushed out of the room. A fire was starting on the aft starboard side of the ship. He quickly made for the side. His dad followed. "Wait, Eytan!" Without trning around or missing a beat, Eytan dove off the side. He swam at school, so he knew he'd have no trouble making it ashore. His dad couldn't swim though... Eytan hadn't thought this one through. Eff.
Ness kept going trying to swim. "help!! Please!! Help Me!!" She gasped. She was yelling to anyone that could hear her. She never swam really well and she barely had her head above water breathing.
Eytan could hear screaming. He swam out a litle bit, peering out across the water. He couldn't see the person very clearly, though he somehow recognized the voice, as faint as it was. Eytan swam in the direction of the person. If he got there in time, it would be a miracle.
Ness struggling. "Help. Please." she yelled. She coughed when the water was in her mouth.
Well, apparently, miracles did happen, because he reached the girl a minute later. By then, he was aftraid it would be too late. Nevertheless, Eytan grabbed her around the waist and began wimming to the east. He had no idea where he was going; Eytan just hoped they were close to shore.
Ness began coughing."thank.....you."she coughed.
There was absolutely no point in Eytan responding, considering he was swimming and his chest felt like it was going to explode. He could see land in the distance. Was it the coast?
Ness looked off into the ocean hoping more people were coming.then looked back. a pain started in her head and she passed out.
Eytan continued swimming despite this. The piece of land drew closer. Eytan saw at once that it was only an island, not the mainland. Still, it was better than nothing.
Ness woke up 6 minutes later. She looked at the island moving closer. She looked to the boy. "wow. You're a good swimmer." she told him.
By that time, they were almost ashore. Eytan didn't bother responding. Not during a swim like this. Another couple hundred yards and they'd be in the clear.
Ness decided to stay silent from then on. She ung onto him to make sure she wouldn't go under.
Once they got to the beach, Eytan swam ashore and rested ness down on the sand. Eytan raised his arms above his head and leaned against a tree. "Dam.n t..."
Once she was on land she watched Eytan. "are you ok?" she asked.
