Tom was relieved when he saw Charlotte comming their way. He stopped walking and turned to Christopher and smiled. "Hey buddy would you mind if a friend of mine came to play with us?" Chris shook his head,
"Don't worry I'll be a good boy." Then he suprised Tom by walking straight up to Charlotte. "Hi, I'm Christopher! Are you Tom's friend?"
"Yup! Nice to meet you Christopher!" Charolette shook the boy's hand, smiling as sincerely as she could, and then looked to Tom. "So...what are we going to play, Tom?"
Tom shrugged, "I don't knw what would you like to play Chris?"
"Hmh... Lets see we could play hide and seek or we could color pictures or we could play tag what do you think Tom's friend?" Chris asked. He was so excited to have friends to play with that he was pretty much bouncing up and down.
It took Charolette a second to realize he had adressed her in all his entergetic excitement. "Um...uh....sure, let's color!" She hoped she might learn something by watching him draw.
Christopher grinned, "I was hoping you'd say that... Come on I have drawing stuff hidden in the bushes over here. Only don't tell mommy she dosen't like it when I draw." He grabbed Charlottes hand and pulled her towards the bushes on the side of the yard relitivly close to where Fantasia lay sleepng leaving Tom to walk along behind them.
"What kinds of things do you draw?" Tom asked.
Charolette was a little startled when he went so close to where Fantasia was, but then thought that this might be to their advantage. If Fantasia recognized him, they would be able to tell. She picked up a few drawing utensils and some paper, and, feeling foolish, started to draw a sterotypical house.
((sorry, did you want me to answer for Christopher?))
((Feel free to if you want to.. sorry I'm out of it cause i don't feel great so I am spacy and totally didn't put it togeather right or something like that.))
Chris grinned "I just draw stuff I see," He picked up a crayon and started to draw a sloppy girl. "You're not very easy to draw." He said with a laugh showing Charlotte the rough drawing he had made.
((XD its fine))
"Do you have a favorite thing to draw? Something you see a lot or really like to see?" Charolette felt they were getting a bit closer--if they got him talking enough, he might spill the beans.
"I really like drawing people and animals... If I tell you a secret do you promise you wont laugh or think im crazy, cause im not." Christopher looked up from his drawing before looking back and forth between Tom and Charlotte his eyes large with curiosity and innocence.
Charolette whispered excitedly, "I promise I won't laugh. I don't think you're crazy." She looked at Tom, grinning widly in anticipation.
Tom smile politely down at Christopher being careful to contain his excitement. "Don't worry Chris you can trust Charlotte and me." Christopher grinned up at Charlotte. "I've seen things... Things my mommy told me not to talk about. She said that they wern't there, but i know they were... you believe me don't you?"
Charolette nodded, "Yeah, I believe you! What kind of things were they?" She felt like Christopher's next answer would be like a birthday present she had been waiting a week to open.
Chris furrowed his brow. "Mommy couldn't see her, Mommy couldn't see the dragon. but I know she was there. We played togeather everyday. Then she ran away. She was my friend and she ran away from me." Christopher trying to be a big boy tried to fight the tears in his eyes. Tom grinned. "Hey buddy common it'll be okay. sO you say you knew a dragon?" Chris only nodded his head.
"What did she look like?" Charolette asked, trying to sound casual. "Was she really big?" A nagging voice in her head questioned whether the boy really knew if the dragon had been a "she" or not, but she was nearly convinced that Christopher's dragon had been Fantasia.
"She was about this big," Chris held out his arms to a width slightly smaller that Fantasia. He frowned and deflated. "She was really pretty, her scales were shiny and they shimmered in the sun. But I haven't seen her in forever," Chris frowned and went back to drawing. Tom shot Charlotte a look trying to figure out what she thought about all of this.
Charolette whispered kindly to Christopher, "Well, I'm sure she's doing fine. And I have a feeling you might see her again." She gestured to Tom, giving him a questioning gaze.
